How does this work on Southwest. We have a stop but it says no plane change. Will we be on for long? Are you required to stay in your seat or can you use the bathroom? Will we be allowed to move closer to the front of the plane for that 2nd leg?:confused3

I recently flew southwest and the flight I was on continued to Reno after it stopped in Denver. The passengers who were staying on the flight were asked to remain seated until the Denver passengers got off and the cabin crew took a head count to match numbers to the manifest, then they were able to change seats and use the bathroom for about 10 minutes before the new passengers boarded.

1. Passengers getting off at that stop will do so.
2. Flight crew counts the number of seats empty.
3. Passengers staying on may change seats or in some cases leave the plane.
4. Passengers board.

Usually it is not worthwhile for a through passenger to leave the plane because new passengers will be boarding quite soon.

Of course you can move!! You can also get off for about 15 minutes if you really need too. They count first, as previously posted. I only got off once, because my son had thrown up on my shirt...so I got a new one..:rotfl:..otherwise...just wait for the count and run to your new seat!! I go exit row if you don't have little kids!!
