DH informed me last night that he thinks we should get a late deal next year as he seems to think we will get a good deal (he is aware that I will kill him if we can't get away!)

SO as I have never looked for deals in October does anyone know if they actually exist or is it too busy to expect there to be any? I'm talking about booking one day to fly the next etc.

Thanks in advance

we wanted to do this in 2008 and couldn't find anything so ended up going in February 2009, :(

In October 2009 we tried to do the same thing - this time worse because I was working in a school by then and was tied to one outward day to fly and one inward day. We thought we had no hope until a BA flight came available three weeks before but it cost the same for the flights as we paid in the February for the entire package.

Can I add that others will probably have had different experiences as they are no doubt more flexible in dates and will take stopover flights. I'm sure we found lots of indirect flights but didn't want them - can't remember how the flights prices compared.

We had no difficulty getting a WDW booking for our resort and free dining in 2009 though.
