One year from this last weekend we are scheduled for our first mother-daughter MVMCP weekend.

How were the crowds? We'll be there thu night for the party, then Fri and Sat at the MK during the day.

We were there 12/2-12/8 and although it wasn't as crowded as it was in July, it was definitely a lot more crowded than I expected it to be. Saturday at MK was especially crowded, maybe because of the parade taping, but we ended up leaving because it was too crowded. The rest of the week wasn't too bad. Most of the rides had short wait times (15 minutes at most), except for Soarin - which was a 60 minute wait and hour after park opening (get the fast pass asap). I am already starting to think about going back next year in December - it definitely is a wonderful time of year to be there.

We were there 12/3 to 12/10. The Sat. and Sun. of parade taping at MK were both MK days for us, and we would do it again. Our experience was that Main Street, of course, was inaccessible -- CMs routed park-goers through the shops along the left-hand side (facing castle) so that we could come out at Caseys and enter the park from there. From about 3 to 6, Fantasyland was a zoo -- but we had very short waits in Frontierland for BTMR and SM, and Toontown was also very easy to negotiate (no problem saying hi to Mickey!) during that time. Tomorrowland was about half-way between the two in terms of crowds. We think that many post-parade people experienced the Fantasyland crowds and decided to leave -- Sat. night we came out from dinner at CRT at about 7:15 or so and found we could walk on, basically, to any rides (although overall the longest waits (20 mins?) were still in Fantasyland.

Bottom line: unless Fantasyland is your only MK destination, don't let the parade taping deter you!

We were there 12/2 through 12/8 and it was definitely more crowded than expected. We went to MK on 12/3 and did fantasyland first thing and rode everything before noon - I thought this was the least crowded day (or morning). We then went back to rest at the hotel for a while before going back for the Christmas party which was packed. There were so many people I didn't quite enjoy it as much as I would have liked because of the crowds.

WE were at wdw dec 1-5 this year as well as 2004. I could not believe how crowded it was. Pop Century was at 100% capacity. It is no longer a quiet time of the year.

Can anyone tell me how the other 3 parks were during the end of Nov and beginning of Dec.? Now we're wondering if we should change to beginning of Nov...wondering if that would be better? Thanks

we went 11/30-12/6 and we had no crowds at all! We went mid week, I studied where to go what days and waited for nothing. We only waited for turtle talk in epcot because it is 20 min show increments. Go the end of november, still decorated, less crowds. Did not rain one day, either!

I guess I'll be the decenting opinion. We just returned and were in the parks from Dec 3 - 12th. I thought the crowds were great. I suppose some of the rides were at a 20 to 30 min wait by afternoon, but they were walk ons in the morning. Of course, Soarin was another story, but its new. The resturants weren't crowded. I didn't have any problems getting last minute ADRs went I wanted to change my plans. And the special Christmas things were wonderful!!! We went to EPCOT one afternoon just to listen to the storytellers. At each country I expected to have to be there early, stake out a spot, etc. Not necessary!! We just strolled in about the time it was to start. There were usually only 15 to 20 people watching. Plenty of room, easy to see, really fun. I think MVMCP was more crowded then that morning, but it wasn't that bad either. Just a really fun time to go. I'd go again the first part of December in a heart beat.

We were there 12/3-12/12 and found that 12/4 was very busy in MK due to the taping of the Regis & Kelly show. Of course this was our 1st trip to Disney and don't know how this compares to the "peak" times. We had a "plan" ready to attack MK but go completely sidetracked with the crowds. As we arrived on Sunday excited to walk down Main Street for the first time in 30 years we were being to told we had to walk on the sidewalks which was a complete zoo. Boy were we disappointed! My DW and I were very frustrated by the end of 12/4. The rest of the trip went much smoother and less crowded. I would not go back while they were taping again, but my DW and I are type A personalities so consider the source.
