home from work, have to be back there in less than 8 hours, so off to lay awake in bed for who knows how long.

But I shall be LAST while I can :teeth:

What a night!

Had to go pick up Andrew at 10:30. He went to the high school football game. It was a playoff game and they won. Now they're in the state quarter-finals next week. He went with a friend and the friend's mom picked them up and we were to meet near their house. Naturally, they were late. We didn't get home until 11:30. On the way home we passed an ambulance headed back to town. Gave me the chills.

At 11:45 DH called (he's on night shift). Our friend's son (16) had been in a car wreck. He was the passenger. That was who was in the ambulance we passed. This is the older brother of Matthew's best friend.

I called the hospital and asked them to give them a message to call. His mom called and I offered to come pick up their other two boys at the hospital and bring them here for the night. So we are back home, with house guests.

When I left the hospital they were doing head CTs and xrays but felt it was more for a precaution. He's pretty bruised and cut but they think that's the extent of his injuries. If so, he is so lucky. DH said the truck is almost unrecognizable! The driver is actually better off than our friends son.

Now that everyone is bedded down in the family room I think I'll head to bed!

Had a good night at work-busy seeing sick kids all night, but it was fun-so at least the nursing staff is nice :thumbsup2

Thanks agin everyone for all the support-and the reason they could share the negative report is that this is the same company-so they can share this personal info unit to unit-they can't release it to another company-Oh well-it's over and done with-I just pray to overcome it all!!!-Thanks again :)

glad the staff is nice :goodvibes

great :guilty: I'm holding our new hamster and she's nearly dead-just gasps every 1-2 minutes

I hate when they die-I think she has diabetes-since she always drank so much and her cage was needing cleaning every 3-4days

poor baby-even if she is just a hamster-this is hard for me after these last few days-so i'm just sitting here waiting for her to go and keeping her warm-hope I don't cry in front of anyone-I have such a soft spot for the little critters :sad2:

sorry about your hamster :grouphug:

Thanks Liz! They got home from the hospital at 5 a.m. and got him settled in and then came to get their boys here at 6:30. They were hoping to get the younger ones home before it got too bright out so that maybe they would go right back to sleep.

All the scans and xrays were negative. He ended up with some stitches in the back of his head. The driver ended up with a cracked rib and dislocated shoulder but he'll be fine too. They were both very lucky. Hopefully they both heed this as a warning and are more careful. The driver is known for drag racing and just driving fast all the time!

Sounds like a big game there today!! Your area will be crowded!!

Have fun at work today!

Gotta get a shower and take Andrew to town for a birthday party. It's lunch at a fancy Japanese restaurant! :confused3 (I guess if that's what she wants for her birthday that's what she should have.)

Also hoping to get my hair trimmed while I'm waiting for him in town. One of the customers I know from work is opening a new hair salon. Everyone that gets a cut today is entered in a drawing for a cruise. Well, someone has to win don't they, might as well be me? :rotfl:

Then it's back home to finish the cleaning I started yesterday. The house is actually starting to look better!

Hope everyone has a nice Saturday.

Just a quick Hi before I head out to work-Thanks everyone for the Hugs about the Hamster-silly thing those Hamster and little critters-we did get a new addition -another dwarf hamster -no more big ones, way too stinky

so hope everyone has a great night-Kathy glad to hear your friends son is going to be OK-glad to hear the football team won too

so hope to pop in tomm-but work all night then too-have a good night everyone :wave2:
