dh and I have only been away from each other four times since we've been married. He twice had to go out of town for work, and I went to NY alone with the kids twice. All in 12 years!

I know for me, I just don't feel whole when he even works LATE, let alone in a different town.

WOW!!! Well Lyn I hope everything works out for the better-and Liz-that's hard to believe-In our marriage of 20+ yrs we've been apart too many times

sometimes with the Military and others when DH drove truck-it's a hard thing,but it can be done

I was pregnant with our 1st baby the 1st time(8months-and it was for 3+ wks) the Military separated us- and then when DH drove Over the Road and was gone all week-home one day and gone again-when our oldest was just a baby-til I graduated from college-rough times-but like I said it can be done

we only dated about 4 1/2 months before we got married. Working on 12 years this Aug.

Next week (the 13th) will be 14 years married and the 25th of June will be 18 years together

We meet on June 25th 1988 at the fire house where I was a member
We immediatly fell in Love
Yes there is such a thing as Love at first site

on June 28th he called me and Proposed ( we were 17 at the time)
i told him to stick it in his ear ( Okay I wasn't that polite about it )


About 2 months later he got me a ring
I guess we only "dated" for a short time
but had a REALLY LONG engagement but we were rather young
well he was right cause 4 years later we got married and are still going strong

not to say there weren't times that I wondered why

It's funny cause we have now been together longer than we were apart
we meet at 17 but have been together for 18 years

funny thing is my "brother" who was the "perfect" child and the women he married everyone said were the couple made for each other

I had the weekend off-but still picked up an extra shift on saturday-Only 8hrs though-but then we had an open house and I didn't manage to get any sleep for about 33 hrs-sleep who needs it-appartently not me or some others here on the DIS(right Kayla )

I'm stressing about this move too-DH just went to FT and when we move he has to go back to PT and wait for an opening AGIAN!!!! And we have to wait for his approval to transfer to ATL-and it hasn't happened yet-so I'm really nervous since this is a great job -one that DH can grow old doing-or til he decidedes to retire
