Did you hear back about the traveling nurse job yet?

I have heard back-no sign on bonus,but they do have a couple job openings -just no interviews yet for July-so I hope my recruiter got the needed Mom/Baby unit reference-which is the position I really want-and hopefully I'll be able to interview in a week or 2!!!!

Thanks Kayla...I appreciate your thoughts. I know it will work out for the best...it is just so hard to decide what is the best. But my DH is so happy at the thought of this, I know it will be okay.... I am thinking that maybe 2 or 3 days of the week will be hectic...but, we still have the other days, weekends, holidays and vacation time...so hopefully it won't be so bad. And, next year DD will be in K and so both kids will be at the same school.

That will be a BIG help-will your DD go FT kindergarten-or just half day???

Quick update on my Grandfather

they took almost another liter of fluid off his lung on Sunday

the pulminary / cardiac surgen was suppose to be in yesterday but i haven't heard

this is so weird to see 2 months ago this 89 year old man worked circles around people half his age and now this

also one of the meds he is on is messing with him big time and making him Mean
which is totally out of character

That's the bummer with old age-it doesn't take too much to put you out of service-I pray that he will get back to normal soon -it just takes so long to recover the older you get-and maybe they can readjust his meds to help with this side effect-or as he starts to get better hopefully he wont need as much medicine

he's adjusting-getting bored though -waiting for his Army buddy to get back from the field and then they can get the internet hooked up(his buddy has his part of the$$ for that) PLus I sent him his 1st care package-fruit snacks,granola bars,cookies, toothbrush,clothes he forgot-plus his grandma slipped in 20.00 for him-it should come in handy since he's down to his last few dollars

let's hope so-so far he's already learned a lot!!! I guess the area isn't so bad after all-he says everyone is in bed and quiet by 9-10pm no loud parties this past weekend-so at least that's a good thing

I think once his friend gets back he'll start having more fun-plus once he gets a job and a regular paycheck coming in-he'll settle right in
