I think there are ways to block it ;)

I really should be cleaning too. I cleaned all day yesterday, though, and started cleaning first thing this morning. But then we went to Walmart and I just felt like relaxing when we got home.
relax...darn cleaning never ends...feels like just the other day I did 5 loads of laundary...oh wait, that is because I DID JUST DO 5 loads the other day :furious: oh well, if not I would be doing 8 today ::yes::

:hippie: this is how I looked in the butterfly pen ::yes::

I can hear DH outside scolding the kids :sad2: why don't they just listen :confused3 when we were at the butterfly farm, I think one of the ladies thought I was nuts for always getting on my kids to not touch everything and to keep away from their wild looking dog :scared1: I don't think she really understood since she doesn't have kids...If I left me eye off of them for a minute, DS would have been over their wall RIGHT NEAR THE ROAD, DD would have antogonized the wild dog, they both could have damaged the butterflies/cacoons, etc.

You sound just like me. I always stay on the kids like that 'cause I know what they're capable of! :rotfl: It's funny, though, 'cause now that the kids are older everyone is always telling us how well behaved they are. Maybe it's 'cause we always stayed on them when they were younger. :rotfl:

Guess what!

Yesterday DH said he wanted to talk about our summer vacation plans. We've been planning a trip to Niagra Falls and up the east coast. Well a few weeks ago he said he really wasn't looking forward to that trip so I just kinda let it drop.

Yesterday he said maybe we should go ahead and get Dollywood/Splash Country season tickets again. We've gotten them every year for the past four years but this past summer we didn't use them all that much so I said I didn't want to get them this year. I reminded him of that and then he said, well, maybe a few days at Disney then! WOW! So it's at least out there as a possibility!

That what DH always says...to stay strong and keep it up..now is the time to work with them, later it will be too late.....must be strong, must be strong.....

but I already see it with my oldest niece, she lies and manipulates at times  oh man, once she lied to DH, he let her know how disappointed and unacceptable it was ::yes::

Must be the day for cleaning. Although it seems like that is all I EVER do and it still looks like I need to do it when I get done. :faint:

I have one very good friend that has two kids, one same age as my DD and one a year younger. This friend has always told us that we're too hard on our kids and that she feels sorry for them. Well, I'm proud to say that when our kids go out with us we often get compliments on the behavior now. She has actually had friends say that she is welcome to come back but to leave her kids at home. (The was back when they were about 11 or 12). Can you imagine having someone say that to you! I would be so embarrassed. Plus she's had the police call to tell her that her DS was in the hospital from alcohol poisoning from drinking too much at a concert, DD totally disrespects both her parents and will cuss them out in a heartbeat. So, DH and I just continue doing what we do and what we feel is best!

::yes:: And I could totally see where this person was coming from and why they said it to her but to this day this friend of mine cannot see why there was any problem.

Kelli - How are the crowds at Disney during the summer??? I know they're big but can you still go and enjoy yourself? How about the resorts? Can you move in the pools or are they so crowded you just can't enjoy it?

I know we've gone in the summer when we lived in FL but that was a long time ago. Plus, I don't think we ever stayed overnight during the summer months.

I am always worried that is what people say about DD. Not to my face but behind my back.

 that is how I think it will be with my sis and I and are kids...I am always too tough and overproctective...and she is correct, but that is how I feel I need to be. My DBIL would be tough on them, but she used to undermine him a lot...cut him down and then make up excuses for the girls :sad2: They give her and my mom such a bad time now...funny thing is that they are always alright with me. I think they know what to expect and where the lines are, and I try hard to be fair. :confused3 oh well, I am sure we all do the best we can.

oh now, the kids are coming in the house  I will cleaning again in a little while :rolleyes1

Kathy, when do you think you would go to WDW? When the boys get out of school?

Everything is pretty busy. But I don't think Overpacked. But it does get pretty darn hot.

Well, after having met your DD in person I'd be the first to tell you that you have a very lovely, well-behaved daughter.

AND that's what I'd say behind your back, too!
