Trying to decide on our last dinner in MK, Sat, 1/15. Currently have 7:20 ressies at 1900 PF as DD loves the princesses and we only have Akershus booked for the previous Tues. However, after reading reviews about long waits and hectic experiences, wondering if I should switch to Tonys or Liberty Tree in order to make it to the Electrical Parade at 9. WWYD? TIA!

I doubt mid-January will be as hectic a time. If it were me, I'd keep 1900 PF. in a heartbeat. If you would prefer to be in the parks, then I'd try to get Crystal Palace just because I like the ambience there better and the cute characters.

We were just there on 12/14 with a 5:45 reservation and were seated at 5:40 - I wouldn't change it if she loves princesses, just check in a bit early. :thumbsup2

note of dissent...you're talking about a Saturday night...which is always busier because the locals come out, AND that particular Saturday night is on ML King Jr holiday weekend. A very popular 3-day get away weekend to Disney for many people in the southeast.

We've been in the monorail resort restaurants on Saturday nights around 7:30 on non-holiday weekends. In a word: packed. Have also been there on Memorial day weekened: restaurants were even more packed.

If you're going to Akershus, you're covered for princesses. If you really want to see the Elec. Parade and eat at Park Fare, I'd switch to a much earlier ADR at 1900 Park Fare (like 5:30!) If you can't get that, but still want some sort of character meal, try Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. You could cut the time a little closer there since you won't have "travel time" to contend with when you're done eating. If you don't want to eat in the MK, try Kona Cafe at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian (neither is a character meal, but we enjoyed our meals there.)

I would not switch to Tony's or Liberty Tree. Have been to both, and not all that impressed.

Thanks for the replies. We have breakfast scheduled at Crystal Palace earlier in the week, so I hate to do it twice. I guess I will keep my PF ressies and keep trying for an earlier time. Thanks!

EDIT: Was just able to secure a 6:40 at PF. So, moving in the right direction!
