Lanyard question

Hello there!! Pete has given me the go-ahead to start on a new DIS store. On the CB, I asked for guidance regarding pin lanyards. See thread above. My main questions were how WIDE are they usually and what do you like to be on the end of it? Some I've seen have medallions of some sort, some have a clip...etc.

Wouldn't you just LOVE a DIS pin lanyard!
I think I may just have to start collecting. I've heard it's addictive AND expensive!!!

No doubt about it - pin trading/collecting is addicting & expensive! Many of the usual posters on this board are at WDW for a pin event taht was held earlier today. Have you contacted AZ JazzyJ aka Jeff? He is one of the moderators on this board. He & his wife (the saint, we call her !) have been making lanyards for awhile. Good luck & have fun!

The Disney Lanyard I bought is an inch wide. So I think the max width should be about an inch and a quarter because an inch and a half would be too wide.

Also the lanyards should have the official color of the Dis Boards which is lime green (please correct me if I'm wrong.

Another important is for some sort of personalization you can embroider (SP?) our board name or our real names on the lanyard itself.

What should go on the end of the lanyard should be functional and versitile. Have something like the AP lanyards with the plastic pockets. That way you can slip an insert in that identifies you as a DIS Member and a place you can place a park ticket in. It should have the web site prominently displayed. Also you can theme the insert to specific holidays or seasons.

I hope these are the kind of ideas you are looking for.

Thanks, Larry, that IS The type of info I need. Lime green IS the color of choice! And Of course it will say DIS on it in some way. I hadn't even considered personalizing....I'll have to think on that one!! And I hope to see a response from Jeff when he returns!!

I have a WDW one that has "Walt Disney World" woven in to it. This would be a great idea for a DIS lanyard. While I am not crazy about green, it shoud would be seen! I also agree with the plastic pouch type thing. Keep us posted!

I received one in 2000 from the Epcot Holiday around the World event that is white outlined in red. I would be interested in a lime green one with the pouch on the end. I hope you have an answer and let us know if it will be available.
