Laminating Machine Question

I'm not sure this is in the right place, but it involves papercrafting, so I thought someone might be able to help.

I am printing a design on photo paper and laminating in 5ml pockets. There is one part on the design that almost always seems to change color (fade) when it goes through the laminator. It's a darker blue ink, but not all of that color fades - it just seems to be in one spot.

Any idea why this happens? I can't figure out if its the paper, the ink, or the machine itself that's the culprit.

Thanks!!

Sorry to reply so late... my only guess it that maybe the heat is too high (hot) on the laminating machine causing the color change... but I have no other ideas since I don't laminate often.

Thanks! I will try on a lower heat setting and see if that helps. I'm using the setting for 5ml pockets, but there is one for 3ml...definitely worth a try!
