So, I mentioned the SPD before... one of the issues DD has is dislike of clothes, esp on her legs. This makes getting her picture taken at home hard. I have to make her get dressed first. Today has not been a good day with her, so I got her in a shirt, but no pants. She does keep her underwear on thankfully! and we got her to wear slippers part of the time. anyway, that is why you can tell she has no pants on in some of the photos....

Anyway, here is her taking the link off today:

Believe it or not that T-shirt was my older sisters. Yes, even at 33 she could wear that shirt. Erica was the biggest Scooby Doo fan you could ever meet. We have some pretty hard to find scooby stuff because of it. The hat I swear was all Erica's doing.. how else could one ever get a half buried hat out of a grab machine with one go if not for a little help? :littleangel:

Oh, and DD wants me to show you her fish that is still alive, so here is Blackie!

207102_160881407305281_100001502679473_384872_5987222_n.jpg

I said it that way because we had two, but they got left behind at my aunt's cabin for a few months, :headache: we had no access to them, and my aunt is in and out of the hospital. Miraculously this one still lived. :woohoo:

So yeah, now I mentioned pets... Who here has what? Our current numbers is one fish, one cat and two dogs. Since my mother and step-father live with us, we don't have to make special plans for our animals during trips. This is the only reason I ever got a dog. (one of them is actually grandpapa's (stepdad), the sister is ours.)

One final DD photo:

216094_160881620638593_100001502679473_384878_6349121_n.jpg

Now I need to start making real packing and luggage choices. I usually leave these things until the day of, but with a longer trip I need to get in gear now... :dance3: But I dont WANNA! :surfweb:

So, I'll do it tomarrow!

Thanks! Wow, Was he a Gestational diabetes baby too? Or do you just naturally go them big?

Yep he was a gestational diabetes baby! I knew he'd be big. My dr kept saying he'd be just 8 lbs. Knew she was wrong!!

Not sure if I'll do a TR...maybe a DR. We're doing the DxDP too & I feel like all we'll do is eat! :rolleyes1

Thanks for the info on gay days! I do think my sister would appreciate the extra hand holding in the parks. :lmao:

I think my doc was taking a nap when it came to how big she would get. :rotfl: Never gave me a prediction, just helped me watch my sugars. :confused3

please do a DR at least! seeing as this is my first time doing dxdp i can't tell you how much i've been trying to read the reports!

Totally should bring her then! :thumbsup2

I know many of us that grew-up medical still wear small sizes as adults.I still use a jr size chair and can shop in the kids department or the jr department.Glad your Sis is still watching over you and your DD all the time.

Glad one of your DDs fish made it.

All of my kids prefer no pants around the house.I tend to get long T-shirts for them.Thankfully they are not like a friends kids who also want no undies or anything. She has to worry about dressing hers in clothing that is hard to take off in public.

Looking forward to more cute pics. Youngest is watching my computer and loves seeing your pics. She did not understand the snow pic as she has never seen snow.

Yeah, I was really worried about the in public part, esp. when I first sent her off to pre-school, but with just finding out what works better for her has helped, plus telling her that they will not allow her in school naked.

Glad someone loves seeing the pictures, and some day if it is possible she should get to play in snow... even if it is fake snow at a ski hill or something. :thumbsup2

We do not get much snow in AZ but have gone up to the mountains with the others so they could see snow.

When she gets a bit older we will take them to the snow again.

If it was not for the getting them ready for public I would just let them be their naked selves as soon as potty trained.

Since modesty can take longer in some kids I do the public rule to make sure they understand.

Just got our stroller via UPS and I LOVE it! :lovestruc My kid is off and about with grandpapa and grandmama so I can't seat her in it right now but I can tell by looking at it, it is perfect! I love this carrying strap! :woohoo: I promiss to make a real post about this tonight. I just couldn't wait to squee about it. best 60 bucks I spent towards this trip! :thumbsup2

I have eaten at all of the restaurants on your list except the Crystal Palace (will eat there next trip). Quick reviews:

Planet Hollywood (1 credit) - Loud and crowded. The food was good the first time and just all right the second time I ate there. It is much better than the one in Vegas. I will never eat at that one again. A little expensive for the value (but you have the dining plan of course).

Crystal Palace (2 credits)- closed for refurbishment last visit. Still need to try.

Liberty Tree Tavern (3 credits)- Tied with Coral Reef for the worst restaurant in my opinion. My DH liked it there. The food tasted stale. Lunch is good, but dinner tastes like a frozen meal thawed and not cooked well.

Chef Mickeys (4 credits)- Typical breakfast fare. Tastes fine. Characters take a long time to reach your table and do not stay for long. We were there for over 45 minutes before the first character reached our table. Waited over an hour for Donald.

Hollywood and Vine (5 credits)- We ate here for breakfast, not lunch. About the same quality food as Chef Mickey's. I heard lunch is not good but cannot say that without trying it first. The character interaction is much more involved including dancing with the kids and a conga line. Saw the first character within 5 minutes and many of them came around multiple times.

Sci Fi (6 credits)- Good (but not great) food for your typical cafe fare. Loved dining in the cars and watching the movies. Service was good too.

Ohana's (7 credits)- A little better food wise than Chef Mickey's and Hollywood and Vine. The funnest character atmosphere, since some of the classics are here. It also has a conga line, but is more fun with moroccos. Characters a little more rushed than Hollywood and Vine but not as much as Chef Mickey's. We left before seeing everyone, because it took 2 characters more than an hour, and we did not want to wait anymore.

CRT (9 credits)- We had lunch, not breakfast. The food was all right, but the atmosphere was amazing. It is so cool in there. The princesses gave just as much attention to my DS and they gave to my sister's DDs. He loved every minute of it. Great interaction. Not rushed at all.

If my calculations are correct, you are staying 5 nights meaning you get 15 dining credits each. In order to fully utilize the deluxe plan, it is suggested that at least 2/3 or 10 of your 15 credits be TS. You should schedule at least one more ADR. We stayed 9 nights and only used 2 credits for counter service. Our other 25 credits went toward 1-2 credit TS meals. We used every credit. Something can easily fit into your departure day. WCC is a lot of fun. It is rowdy and has some fun antics. Do not eat there if you are not a meat fan or like calm restaurants though.

I do not have a daughter, but my sister's daughter's did BBB. It was their favorite thing from the trip. They felt like real princesses. Your DD will love it! We were at the Pirate's League with my son instead. He hated every minute of it. We have not tried to paint his face since! Cannot wait for my youngest DS (still pregnant) to be old enough for it. He may love it, since it seems cool to me.

Thanks for the info on gay days! I do think my sister would appreciate the extra hand holding in the parks. :lmao:

People can be rude. She should hold her spouse's hand as much as she wants at any time and just ignore the rude people. I get the reservation though. My sister does whatever she wants (respectfully of course) with her partner, but my husband's sister is more reserved with what she does with her wife (yes, they're legally married) in public.

Had a long day, but finally got home. I can't wait to see pics of the stroller, especially since the one the doctor was going to help me with fell through. They gave me a number for the stroller rental place in Florida but that will run my $120 dollars.:scared1: I'll have to go on line to ebay to see if they have any of the ones you got left.:thumbsup2

Friday will probably be a better day for me since I don't know what time we are going to my DD's aunts house on Sat. Unfortunatly, though, my DD will be at her Dad's house and our DD's will not get to meet.:guilty: Not this time at least.:confused3

When we went to Chef Mickey's in 2009 we had a lot of interactions with the characters. We actually saw most of the characters twice. Maybe it depends on what time of year you go or what time during the day they go.:confused3 We enjoyed the food, but as we have said before it is hard to screw up breakfast.:thumbsup2

Does your DD have a problem with plastic head bands?

:woohoo:Glad you got a good stroller deal.

Looking forward to seeing pics of your DD and her new wheels.

Actually right now my sister has no significant other. Her heart was broken a few years ago sadly :(

I do agree about the rudeness. I so completely don't understand that there is even a fight for gay marriage. To me love is love. I never had an Aha moment about it - just have always felt that!

My sister-in-law married her wife in California for that brief period of time when it was legal. Even though, no one can get married there now, they are upholding the marriages that took place. I just wished every state honored it, because she does not live in California. She wants to move there one day, so she can live legally married then.

Sorry about your sister's broken heart. Maybe, she just needs time to find the right person.

If my calculations are correct, you are staying 5 nights meaning you get 15 dining credits each.

Calculations are incorrect. We are doing a split stay and only have dining for three nights, for a total of 9 credits each. :thumbsup2 Also CRT is already paid for, and not during our dining plan days.

Tues, wed, thrus we stay in ASMu with the DxDP, friday and sat we stay at CBR without a dining plan. Our credits will expire at midnight on friday. 7/9 of the meals are TS and in this post: Cost of Dining Is where I go over the cost/beni of the dining plan.

especially since the one the doctor was going to help me with fell through.

EEK~!~ Well, I am sure they still have more of mine, and since I already have it, if you wait until Friday you can have your son sit in it and see if it works BEFORE you buy.

Friday will probably be a better day for me .... our DD's will not get to meet.:guilty: Not this time at least.:confused3

Well, I am starting to get well, but DD has the sniffles today. So maybe we can meet just long enough for a wave and hello and to let your son try the stroller. That way if she is getting sicker less change of getting you two sick, but you can still check out the stroller and we get at least a small hello in? I'll PM you again.

Does your DD have a problem with plastic head bands?

Yes and no. She *wants* to wear them, but they are often too tight, or she plays with them more than wear them, making her hair look WORSE.

Okay, So on the night of 4/14 I ordered off of Ebay a Volo MaClaren stroller rated for children up to 55Lbs. I paid 60 dollars including shipping. It was shipped at 4/15, and I got it today, 4/20. If it wasn't for the weekend I am sure I would have gotten it much sooner. :confused3

It was delivered Via UPS in a nice box that has a side handle on it.

208784_161139600612795_100001502679473_386052_2153367_n.jpg

I pulled it out and it came all together, with only the sun shade not attached.

207077_161139607279461_100001502679473_386053_1588771_n.jpg

(Yes, those are my feet.... in my pj's. Remember I am a 3rd shifter, I was sleeping when UPS arrived!)

Just looking at this thing, I couldn't see how it couldn't work for her. It is really a nice stroller, with the breathable mesh along the back. Oh, and the sun shade goes on super easy, and I can remove it again if I didn't need it.

217714_161139640612791_100001502679473_386054_6917835_n.jpg

I think the feature I love the most is this strap right here.... This is a carry strap for when it is folded up! I can just toss it over my shoulder and go!

205028_161139657279456_100001502679473_386055_1110534_n.jpg

I do have to admit, at first I was a bit confused by all this metal.. :lmao:

205532_161139673946121_100001502679473_386056_6320_n.jpg

However I quickly figured out the use. starting from the bottom, those are linked brakes. rather than pushing down with your foot you push sideways, putting the brake on BOTH rear wheels at once. :thumbsup2

Next up is the bar/petal thinggy that you push down with your foot to set it up, or push up with your foot to start the closing process.. that is right, I said START. you also need to push the lever on the right hand side (the next 'bar' up.) to completely fold it. I think I really like this small two step process as it is easy to do standing, and yet still make sure it is secure when open. No having to flip the stroller over to use your hands to pull the bar to fold, like most umbrellas.

Now, I heard that MaClaren had once had a recall due to kids getting fingertips cut off :scared1: by the joint of the stroller. This is their solution:

217192_161139700612785_100001502679473_386057_7452424_n.jpg

It is removeable, but was already all zipped on. If I hadn't known about the original recall I wouldn't even think twice about this being there to prevent fingers getting the joints. :confused3

Another thing I wanted to point out is that this has a 5 point harness, but you CAN make it a 3 point belt and remove the shoulder straps if you wish. :thumbsup2

So, without further ado, DD in her new stroller:

(looks awkward? because she is forcing herself to lay her head all the way back, rather than sitting natural)

208099_161139760612779_100001502679473_386058_8101217_n.jpg

Yes, you almost got to see our cat in full.. almost. (pls ignore the spot where DD dropped cupcake and got frosting on the floor. :rolleyes1 )

221816_161139787279443_100001502679473_386060_2496142_n.jpg

The straps easily adjusted to fit her, with a bit of room left to spare. The shoulder straps have three slots for height adjustment.

221907_161139807279441_100001502679473_386061_1369278_n.jpg

And one shot with the sunshade up:

217393_161139840612771_100001502679473_386062_284565_n.jpg

This thing handled like a breeze even with all 50lbs of DD in there. Both on the kitchen floor, and the low pile carpet in the living room. (DD wanted a ride. )

Even with the sun shade attached it folded up easily and fit right back into the box it arrived in.

Now to have Corrine1973 's DS try it out for him soon!

If you want the link for this stroller let me know.

p.s. since it is after midnight, we are now down to 40 days! :woohoo:

:welcome: Welcome!! and yes, so excited! Yet... freaking out thinking of all the little things that still need to be done, like find and buy sun screen (this is harder than it sounds as just any sunscreen won't work.) and Making sure both me and DD have enough summer clothes. so much to do!
