Hey guys. Quick post today.

I was able to get in another nice long walk y'day at lunch (don't tell my boss - he was off ). And the plan was to run this morning. But I woke up with that pesky kinked/locked neck thing again - this time on the other side. I took some advil and am feeling better now, but I have to get cleaned up (been cleaning the house - Marie's inspired me) and take DS to get a haircut and then to a bday party for his best buddy from kindergarten. When we get home from that, I'm hoping for an early dinner tonight and then get the Easter decorations down from the attic and get the house all festive again.

DD is taking her grounding well. She read a few chapters in her guided reading book for school to get a little ahead for next week (and I told her this is gonna be an every weekend thing - to save us some time during the weeknights when she has a TON of other homework). And now she is cleaning out her closet & re-organizing her room. She'll be at that all day!! Tomorrow I'll help her out with what she has left to finish - and I want to try on her summer clothes from last year to see what she fits in, since I think she's grown 4-5 inches taller and gained close to 10 pounds since last year. (she's finally closer to average than bean-pole status) Although soccer starts after Easter, and then summer camp usually runs her ragged, so she'll probably lose weight again.

So much for a quick post. Have a great one, all. Hopefully I'll be able to run without pain tomorrow!!

OK, this time I am really gonna be quick. ;

Busy, crazy weekend - but I did run this afternoon. I didn't feel like following the couch-to-5K plan, since the last time I ran was last weekend. So I figured I'd wing it & see how it goes. I ended up doing walk/run intervals of:

5w/5r/3w/7r/3w/7r/3w/5r//7w = 45 mins!!

Oh, and DH said that the sun is rising earlier & earlier, so I might be able to start the morning runs back up again soon!

Em's glasses are adorable, even if they did break so soon.

P&PD for you and your job and for Janine and her job and her baby. It has got to be so frustrating to spend so much of her pregnancy in the hospital, but she has made it to 28 (29?) weeks now. Her baby is so much better off with each and every day.

What fun to plan a surprise trip to WDW. Your kids are going to love it!

Welcome back, Anna! You've been missed.

Yes, Janine is 29 weeks, almost 30 (Thursday)!! She has another ultrasound scheduled on Wednesday, and her docs are actually thinking about sending her home. She's not too sure about that, considering she would have to be sent back up there with any complications between now & 34 weeks.

Thanks for the encouragement as well, ladies. You know I feed off of it! I went for another walk today at lunch. It was a little chilly in the 50's, but it just made me walk a little faster!

Oh, and we were able to get Em's glasses fixed today. Just had to be re-bent back into shape.

Glad Em's glasses were fixable . That is also wonderful news for Janine. She is understandably nervous about going home. She needs to voice her concerns to her dr and understand what she can and cannot do while she is at home. If she will not have the support she needs at home to take care of her son and herself, her dr needs to know that too. On the other hand, it would be nice for her and her family to spend the last weeks of her pregnancy with more time together. It is fabulous she has made it so far.

Great job getting the walk in. And 50's is not "a little chilly" it is COLD! (yes, thin blooded S. Californians are wimps, I admit it...)

Hey guys!

Man, am I tired!!! I absolutely had to run errands after work tonight (after I picked up the kids) and it's just a drag to get home at 7:15 and have to get the kids fed & to bed by 8. Not that they have to get to bed by 8, but mommy needs some sanity time!

I walked again at lunch today. Lemme tell ya it was freakin BEAUTIFUL out!! It was 83 degrees!!! Of course tomorrow, our high will be high 50's again. Darn spring in NJ. Never know what's comin' next. But, I am planning on walking again (thus the reason I'm running errands after work. ) and I'll walk again on Thursday and then Friday I'll do some errands at lunch & take a walk break.

I guess that's about it. I'll let you know how Janine makes out tomorrow.

Becky - thanks for calling me an inspiration. I've been feeling like a major slacker lately. So you definitely made my day!

Marie - yes, men in uniform are MY inspiration to walk.

Anna - You know, in the summertime, if it went down to 50, I'd think it was FREEZING....but now that we've had cold, cold temps all winter, 50 is actually warm with a touch of chill.

kim...i live w/ a man in uniform....what's the attraction? I like him better in shorts and t-shirts...or jeans and a nice shirt....go figure.
anytime you need a pick-me-up, i'll send you a pic of him in uniform....i'm just thankful they don't wear the ugly blue polyester anymore!!

Aha! NJ had CA's weather today . You had 83 while we had 50's, rain, wind & hail . Don't worry. It will be on it's way to you soon . I'll be happy when winter is completely done .

Very funny, Anna! Nah, you can KEEP the yucky weather! We ended up in the low 70's today!! Bummer was that I wasn't able to walk at lunch - had to work through. But I'll be walking again tomorrow!!

Sounds like you have had some great weather for walking, Kim! We have a few days of 60 degree weather until the bottom drops out and we hit the 30s just in time for Easter.

How is Janine doing? We're keeping her in our thoughts and prayers...
