HI Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place for cute dress patterns. I have lookd at the fabric stores and all of the patterns are very contemporary. I love the look of twirly dress, ruffles, a little bit more "old fashioned " for my DD. I am actually on a hunt for a cute jumper and halter dress. TIA!!!![]()
OH ok! Wonder how I missed that! Thanks![]()
Here are the shoes I made for DD tonite. I actually had DH draw the heads on the shoes... and I glued on the crystals, I love how they turned out!I think I may spell out Minnie on the sides, not totally sure yet.

I actually used super glue products, the regular kind and gel and mixed them.. gave me the consistancy I wanted. What kind of glue did you use to glue the crystals on? They are very cute! My DD6 saw them and said I want shoes like that!
I was planning a trip to Hobby Lobby already! A new one opened up near me.
I figured with hot glue they might peel off to easy, so I used super glue. I bought flat back swarovski crystals, they are on sale at Hobby Lobby right now by me for 30% off. I used 15 for the bow and 36 for the head for one shoe. The bead size I used is 10ss.These shoes are adorable. Dis you just use a hot glue gun? Are the crystals in a bag to buy? Would love to do these myself!!
Both from Ebay

How did you make the smocking with tinkerbell??? Did you embroider ontop of the smocking after it had been gathered??? I'm a real newbie to all this and just finished my first dress for my 5 week old...hope I'll be able to do as good a job as you one day!!! What an inspiration this thread gives!
I purchased the plate from an online smocking store. It is not embroidered, it's all smocked. I'll try to post a clearer picture of the design, and a full shot of my DD wearing it as soon as I get the chance. Believe it or not, she doesn't like to wear the tinkerbelle outfit (which makes her mother very unhappy), she says it makes her look like she "has a baby in her belly!". She's only 4!!!!!!!![]()
