Here is another picture for the poster who thought about making clothes for herself. Just a mickey head in fabric that matches DD.

MickeyFan- LOVE those shoes! Let us know how they hold up, I might borrow your idea for our Disney cruise:thumbsup2 . I normally paint a mickey head on the same type of shoes, but it would be nice to have something different this year!

I am looking for some ideas for a safari outfit for when we go to Animal Kingdom. I have some khaki shorts and white shirts for all of them - anybody got any ideas???

Check out the disigns board here on disboards. You can find some really wonderful designs and iron them onto t-shirts. I made matching shirts for our family last time we went. Really easy!

I don't want to get in trouble but I was wondering if anyone sells these fabric mickey head appliques you see on the front of custom overalls. I know I would only distort the ones I try. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I'm not sure if anyone sells the mickey head but I'm pretty sure you could do it yourself. I use the picture from post 373, I think, as a pattern. It just takes a little practice. Check your PM for a little help. Another option is to just use sequin trim. This is what I did a few days ago.

Here is the other outfit I made. Luv the dots!

Wish I could make the sequin sneakers. Those are fab!

This is just too cute!!! I may have to steal this!!!

I was thinking the SAME thing! It is so cute! When you do the ribbon do you just sew it on? And do you burn the ends with something? Or are they just under the mickey head (the ends)?

SO SO CUTE!

I just sewed across the top and bottom of the ribbon. It stops at the side seam of the tee and the ends are folded under. You can kinda see it on the right side. Hope this makes sense.

In regards to the legality of using licensed fabric, Tabberone is an ebayer who won a lawsuit. Read about it here http://www.tabberone.com/Trademarks/DisneyLawsuit/disneylawsuit.html , here http://www.tabberone.com/Trademarks/trademarks.html , and feel free to peruse her whole website. lol

Great job, Ladies! :thumbsup2

They did win that lawsuit. However, I believe that is why Disney now puts the non-commerical use line on there. So, you can sell things made with older Disney fabric but I would double check with someone (Disney, ebay VERO?) on items made with the newer fabric.

I will let you know. I am bringing extra crystals and super glue gel just incase, but DD will be in her stroller most of the time. :goodvibes jen

LadyRob

Thanks for the instructions! I was looking for the whole face of Mickey not just the black outline.

Ohhh! That does look a little difficult! I haven't attempted to piece together any appliques for the same reason you gave; they will probably look distorted.

Your outfit looks AWESOME! I've just ordered some Minnie dot fabric off of Ebay and I think you've inspired me to start. Thanks again! I have 6 months to some outfits!

I have 4 weeks to make a few for my niece. Thanks everyone for sharing your beautiful clothing. You have really inspired me.
