I purchased the plate from an online smocking store. It is not embroidered, it's all smocked.

So does this mean that it's like a "strip" of material that is already smoked, and you can just add it to something you have made, or make a dress to "go around" the smoking strip? I'm sorry , I just don't know what a smoking plate is.

You can buy the fabric from Hancock Fabrics online, it's not too expensive, like $4.00 a yard. The Hancock stores carry it but it's hard to find in stock.

I finally finished one set of outfits. From left to right: My niece Catherine, my son Michael and my daughter Parker Renee.

Parker has blue panties under her top and Catherine has Mickey head panties. I am going to cut Michael's shirt off b/c I don't think I like how it looks tucked in. Now I'm off to start the next set of outfits.

How about a safari/animal print mickey head on the shirt and a smaller one on the leg of the shorts

You could also decorate your DD's flip flops with bows made from animal print ribbon. Check party supply stores for pith helmets. I also like Lisa's idea for the animal print Mickey head.
