Those shoes are adorable! I love the bow. I read where you going to make Minnie and was trying to think how to do the bow! Yours is perfect!

Castle Creations - that cow dress is adorable!

MickeyFan - I love those shoes!! When my daughter gets older I will have to make her some of those!

What kind of glue did you use to glue the crystals on? They are very cute! My DD6 saw them and said I want shoes like that!

I was planning a trip to Hobby Lobby already! A new one opened up near me.

HI Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place for cute dress patterns. I have lookd at the fabric stores and all of the patterns are very contemporary. I love the look of twirly dress, ruffles, a little bit more "old fashioned " for my DD. I am actually on a hunt for a cute jumper and halter dress. TIA!!!:)

I use Simplicity patterns all the time. Have tried McCalls but they don't fit my daughter as well and I am terrible at altering. Simplicity New Look has a great halter dress that can tie at the neck or on the shoulders. It's my favorite and maybe the first dress that I ever tried! It's number 6195.
6474 is really cute too. Don't know what size you are looking for, but you can find what you need I am sure. Try their website and shop there before you go to the store. It's so handy!

OH ok! Wonder how I missed that! Thanks :goodvibes

Here are the shoes I made for DD tonite. I actually had DH draw the heads on the shoes... and I glued on the crystals, I love how they turned out! I think I may spell out Minnie on the sides, not totally sure yet.

These shoes are adorable. Dis you just use a hot glue gun? Are the crystals in a bag to buy? Would love to do these myself!!

I actually used super glue products, the regular kind and gel and mixed them.. gave me the consistancy I wanted.:goodvibes
I used a pin to put the glue on the shoe.

I figured with hot glue they might peel off to easy, so I used super glue. I bought flat back swarovski crystals, they are on sale at Hobby Lobby right now by me for 30% off. I used 15 for the bow and 36 for the head for one shoe. The bead size I used is 10ss.

Question for those selling/buying on eBay. The fabrics I bought all have a message stating that you are only allowed to use the material for non-commercial home use or something like that. I don’t have the fabric with me. Am I allowed to sell dresses on eBay using these fabrics?

I know we had a discussion a few pages back about Disney shutting down eBayers and I don’t want to get into all THAT again. I don’t think this question was asked/answered back there, though.

And I’ll post pics when my dresses are finished!

I have been following this thread for awhile now and have enjoyed all the wonderful outfits. I thought I would share a few that I have made. The first picture is my daughters 3rd birthday a Jojo theme. I saw some overalls on Ebay that were really similiar, but I made these and added some things here and there.

This year was a Tinkerbelle theme, so I smocked tinkerbelle for her outfit.

I would loooove to see a full picture of that Tinkerbell outfit - it's adorable!!

How did you make the smocking with tinkerbell??? Did you embroider ontop of the smocking after it had been gathered??? I'm a real newbie to all this and just finished my first dress for my 5 week old...hope I'll be able to do as good a job as you one day!!! What an inspiration this thread gives!

Both from Ebay

She is so adorable and so are the outfits! When was she born? What a cutie!
I so long for a daughter and I have 3 sons.
We are considering adopting a girl..not sure yet.
By the way, where did you get these outfits? If you don't want to share the seller, just PM me:)

I purchased the plate from an online smocking store. It is not embroidered, it's all smocked. I'll try to post a clearer picture of the design, and a full shot of my DD wearing it as soon as I get the chance. Believe it or not, she doesn't like to wear the tinkerbelle outfit (which makes her mother very unhappy), she says it makes her look like she "has a baby in her belly!". She's only 4!!!!!!!

That is adorable!!!! I am going to have to talk to my cousin about smocking this. I can do the outfit just not the smocking. She just made my DD her Easter dress and it had Cinderella smocked on it.

Who was the designer for the plate? I love smocking and this pattern is just too cute. Pattern for the outfit too please! You did a fine job!
