I just learned something, and wanted to share it with all you guys!!! For a VERY VERY LOOOONG time it has annoyed me that the search function on this board doesn't work. While surfing around on other threads today (I know, can you believe I actually went somewhere besides here???) I found that if you change the color sheme to California Gold instead of default or any other scheme, the search works! (Or, at least it works better!) To change the scheme, go down to the very bottom left of this page, and use the drop down menu. It probably says "default" now. I was even able to use the "find all posts by this member" search!

Wow I love the new colors!!!!:cool1: I feel like I just put on a fresh coat of paint!
By the way, Teresa, I meant to say that I just love  your new siggy pics. I hope my three girls are close sisters when they grow up. Right now they are really close!

I think you got a great deal. i would put black under it like in the pictures. We go in January the most, and we use layers. I'd put a short sleeved tee, and black leggins and maybe a white sweater. Take off as needed! Have a great trip!

I am playing catch up.

The majority of all of my posts are on this thread. This is the only thread I keep up with now. I will post some questions I am sure when I finish our trip plans.

I guess it is sour grapes but . . . I have not posted much since I got an infraction. I did the same thing another posted did on the same thread and only I was reprimanded. I know this is a taboo subject.

Also, my DH was majorly concerned about my girls photos on the site. There are so many lurkers that we just do not know who is out threre. He is a very protective father and I need to respect him for that. I asked that the girls pics be taken off of the link.

I feel the same way too about my kids pictures. My dad is a retired police officer so needless to say my parents were VERY overprotective when I was growing up and it wasn't half as crazy then and it is today!!!

Is there anyway that we can just blur the faces out of the pictures, I LOVE:love: all of your beautiful creations and I would hate for them to disappear out of the photobucket!!!! Just a thought...

I think it came out okay.I have to start the shirt soon.

Thanks to those who made references to the Page one picture photobucket and other references. This is great! I was going through pages trying to find an outfit I liked and that I wanted to use for inspiration. This was much easier!

She does a great job keeping up the Photobucket site!!!

Aww, thanks! My girls are pretty close now too. They say they are best friends, just like Mommy and Aunt Heather! :cloud9:

I was just making a list of the outfits I want to make for the girls. I was trying to figure out something with the Minnie Dot to make Arminda (my 9 year old) that wasn't too babyish. I think an outfit similar to this might be just the thing! I would say I'm going to CASE it, but I'm not that good, so I might just CAB it!

okayi have been sewing like a mad woman for the last couple of weeks:rolleyes1 i finished my special dress for DD princess dinner at ariel's grotto in DCAprincess: i will post a picture as soon as i make the petticoat for underneath:cutie: speaking of! does anyone have any easy ways of making one? i have a ton more outfits to sew for the kiddos and only 12 days left :scared1: but i am not gonna stress because i am way to excited for my 1st trip (as well as the kiddos) to DisneyLand:woohoo:

Melanie, I love the outfit you bought! I think you got a really good deal on it! I like those Redondo style skirts!

I am in the planning stages of making Lydia one out of Buzz Lightyear fabric. I was going to by star fabric, but I decided to use up some of my stash, and I let Lydia pick out a complimentary fabric. She picked a blue with sparkles. I think MickeyFan posted a similar fabric way back for her Ariel jumper. It is sparkly and looks like water, but with the Buzz I'm hoping it will look more like the surface of the moon! I'm think it will look ok, but she is going to love it, no matter what, so that's what is important! I also have some glow in the dark ric rac to put on it.

Wendy told us about the fabulous outfit you made! I can't wait to see pictures!!! Would a tulle tutu work undernetath the dress? Those are really easy to do. You could put a little slip or leggins underneath it to avod the scratch factor. Do you want something to make it poofy? I have a few petticoat/skirt directions in the bookmarks I think. (Under tutus and pettiskirts)

What would you recommend for a beginner?? Is the twirl skirts hard?? I would like to have her atleast 4 to 6 more outfits?? Shes in a size 12-18 months any thoughts?? Also my son is in almost 3T. I was thinking of overalls and sew on disney designs. Any suggestions. Also I am making me, dh, dd13, ds11 the tie dye Mickey shirts.

Any Help Greatly Appreciate,
Melanie

The twirl skirts are pretty easy. The pillowcase dresses are easy too and look really cute on little girls that age.

okay is the page i am looking for on the photobucket site or somewhere else? i

I see you found it, but for anyone else that might be wondering, the links to the bookmarks (tons of free patterns and information on sewing and crafts) is in mine and Heathersue's signatures and in the first post of this thread.

That's where the twirl skirt and pillowcase dress patterns I mentioned are too.

Hello ladies! I'm finally caught up, but I gave up the thought of multi-posting everything I liked about 10 pages ago! Everything has been fantastic! I especially love seeing the pictures from all of those who have just returned. I have a few projects to show off.

Last weekend I went on a scrapbooking retreat with a bunch of my good friends. I completed autograph books for both kids. Megan's was made totally by me using chipboard, CD's and scrapping supplies. For Wyatt's I used a pre-made album and painted the cover and attached the paper and stickers.

aimeeg! Clear some PM space, would ya! :rolleyes1

What a lazy day! My sewing machine is sitting idol after the mad dash to get everything done before our trip. I have some cute fall/winter patterns and plan on buying those adorable corderoy (sp???) prints at Walmarshay. They are in blue. dark pink, and browns...very expensive looking.

Castle Creations- That Epcot skirt is a-may-zing! WOW!

Spongie- hurry and posty!!!!

Here is a fall/halloween outfit that I finished a while ago. It is cased from someone on this thread although she used the bling around the candy corn. The candy corn applique gave me all kinds of grief, so I used black fabric paint for the patches on the jeans and the small candy corns. It was much easier than I had expected. I was afraid that the fabric paint might make a big goopy mess.

Here's a close-up of the front and back patches.

I may go back and add some black ric-rac around the bottom of the jeans.
