Hi All!!!
Sorry I have been MIA lately - although I have been checking out the pics ;) ! It seems I have been still playing catch up since returning from the world. I have some pics to post - if I ever get my rear in gear! I took one of Emma by the Minnie sewing machine and I also just finished a skirt for Emma yesterday. I want to make a top before I show you all! I have a 50% off JoAnn coupon that is burning a hole in my pocket - I am going to buy a mat, ruler and rotary cutter fiskars set! No more cutting all those strips and squares by hand! YIIPPPEE!

Hey Utahmama - it was nice to see you at POP - eventhough it was a quick visit. I wish we could have chatted more.

Actually, not really. I really don't have time to feel sick anymore because I decided to make a halloween skirt out of leftover scraps for M's friend and her birthday party is tomorrow. I have got to finish!

Hee, I don't really hate your sister, I'm just jealous. Actually, M prefers scrunchies anyway and they seem to be a lot easier to make, so I will stick with them. Her hair is super thick and those bows won't stay in anyhow. Heather is super talented though!

My hand is cramping from pulling out the basting stitches (I have got to get a ruffler foot) but I am almost done: see you guys later!

ps: Umama I wanna see pictures (stamp foot)!

Aww, Steph, I'm sorry you are still not feeling well. Are you going to go back to the doctor?

I was talking about YOUR bows Steph!!! Silly girl, I liked the ones you posted awhile back!

Ohhh he's a cutie pie! (it's a he?) THat's a neat picture.

You might be remembering my little Sophie! Boy is she fiesty! We just got her in April. But she is so sweet. She follows me around the house and either has to lay by my feet or I have to hold her.

Oh that is so cute. I want to make DS some pirate overalls next. He loves pirates. I am still planning them out though. I have three different fabrics purchased so far.

Ok I decided to post after lurking around for a while! Love the pirate setpirate: Soo cute and adorable little girl! I need some HELP!!!! I am making dd an outfit for her 1st birthday!!! I want to do a cupcake applique and was wondering where I could find one! Any ideas? TIA Oh yeah I keep seeing Voldemort on this thread. What the heck is that? Am I missing out or what?

20 pages of posts since my last log in. Whew! I still have about 10 pages to look thru.

This is what I've been up to,

I love this fabric (the pink Pirate fabric.) Where did you find it? It is beautiful.

Love the outfit too!

LOL: we can have a Scrappy party! He looks like a handful (or at least a lapful!).

Shoot! I have been eyeing that set for a couple of weeks. I stupidly used my 50% off coupon on cheap tulle. Shoot! :headache:

I thought as I was sewing, I didn't even thank Teresa for asking. Thank you for asking! I am halfway throught the antibiotics and am trying to decide if I should finish them out before going back. I haven't been taking the prescribed decongestant because it messes up my sleep so I don't want to get fussed at.

Those stupid bows I made don't stay in the child's hair for more than a few minutes before they slide/are pulled out. I am sticking to scrunchies from now on. But thank you for trying to make me feel better!

That's her! She is so sweet and looks like she would be fast friends with Scrappy. Scrappy likes to take his squeaky ball and hit me in the ankles with it as I try to sew. He is also in my lap curled up if I sit down for more than 30 seconds.

The overalls are so cute! Your son looks like a sweetheart, helping with the flowers.

Well, I finished! I will try to get Megan to model it and post pics before we go to the party. Thanks for all the support!

I was scrapbooking and made a cupcake paper piecing by finding a coloring page and cutting out the different colors out of paper. It would work the same way for an applique. Do a google search for "free coloring cupcake" and I bet you will find something you can use. Let me know if you need more help.

Voldemort is Ebay. We are not allowed to link to auctions so we made up a code word for the whole thing. We are allowed to write "Ebay" though, so it's just us being silly. We also have Targemort and Waldemort, you can probably figure those out.

LOL: we can have a Scrappy party! He looks like a handful (or at least a lapful!).

He thinks he is a lap dog!!! I actually carry him around. He is only 18 pounds, but lately he is starting to look husky. We have been giving him doggie ice cream as a treat everyday! hehehe!
He is part Boston Terrier so he is a frisky little dog!

What is doggie ice cream? We had a beagle with bad hips that we were supposed to keep her around 18 - 20 lbs and I was horrified when she got up to 26 lbs. We didn't even give her table scraps or ice cream (doggie or otherwise). It is hard to keep them trim!

oh, they sell it at super walmarts in the freezer ice cream section. look next time it comes in original and peanut butter flavor!

LOVE this!!!! I got the same candy corn material and made a dress for my girls! It was the first thing I have ever sewn in my life, except for the apron I made in 8th grade home ec. which looked more like a dish cloth.:rotfl:

My apron project is why I was told I had an attitude problem, old bitty! My mom still has it and it is in pieces (it was in pieces when I made it too)!:rotfl:

Here are a few photos from our trip.
Unfortunately DD didn't get to wear all of the customs that I made. It was either too hot, or way too rainy for the day the outfit was planned for. I guess I will just have to plan another trip soon so that she will have a chance to wear them.

DD got lots of attention on the days she wore her customs.

I bet she got a ton of compliments, they are gorgeous! What a cutie! Glad to here you'll be going back!

Just for laughs I thought I would list the "Top Chatters" here on the thread! I barely made the top 100! :confused3

I'm surprised to see that I made it, notice that most of my posts are from this thread. Now that I've figured out how to multiquote I guess I won't rack up posts as fast though.

I didn't think I talked that much!! :rotfl2: I figured I was hiding in the background. Apparently not! Very funny!

On a serious note. I need some sanity vibes and some sticky baby vibes. I have been bleeding all day and went to the ER. The doc says baby is hanging out in there as comfortable as can be, but I'm still stressed. Hubby is due home from his mini-deployment tomorrow. The doc figures I just overdid it trying to get the house put back together and taking care of three kids. So now I'm on modified bed rest for the weekend. So much for wandering town with hubby. Also, no "reuniting time" for dh and I. But whatever it takes for baby to be okay. So if you guys wouldn't mind thinking some happy thoughts for us, we would greatly appreciate it:hug: . Hubby can't get home and in my arms fast enough!!!

I bled for 12 weeks from about 13 weeks to 25 weeks for my DD4. She is perfect but it was very scary. It was my second pregnancy but I miscarried my first so I was scared out of my mind. I hope everything is still okay and lots of :grouphug: and pixiedust:
Look, I'm kind of on topic (and I wouldn't apologize if I wasn't)! I made a bow! It was my very first attempt at bow making. It's by no means perfect, but it was pretty darn easy to do. It's about 3" across.

Here's the front:
thDSC03199.jpg

Here's the back. It's on an alligator clip that I covered with ribbon:
thDSC03200.jpg

Awesome job, I have resorted to buying them on voldemart. I've won some really inexpensive auctions but they're not the more elaborate ones. Oh well! Maybe someday I'll figure it out!

So I finally finished my Pirate set. Took forever to decide what to put on the jeans. well the good old pirate mickey is what I decided. Hope everyone likes it! Excuse Princess Josephine, she just took a bath!

Cute outfit! Love it!

Voldemort is ebay!

Okay, I tried to make the pictures smaller in my multiquote but somehow the pictures vanished. Where do I put the th?

Also, I bought the Brother sewing machine from Costco. Has anyone who bought this machine have a ruffler foot? I've got to get one of those! All of this gathering is killing me! I've looked at Joann's the last two times I've been there and they say they don't carry them. Any other ideas where I can buy one? Also, I know a while ago somebody posted pictures of the shank (or something like that) does anyone know where those are so I can tell if I go to a store? Can I buy a ruffler foot on ebay? Thanks for everyone's help!

Oh,

I also wanted to say good bye to T-beri. We'll miss you and hope you come back soon!

Steph, you are so sweet worrying about not thanking me!! It does seem like you should be feeling better by now though.

I can't believe you finished the outfit even though you are sick. What a wonderful mom!

I'll miss T. too! I hope she comes back really soon!

Ok, you put the th in the right spot, but you forgot the underscore after it. th_

There is a picture of the different shanks in the photobucket account.
ETA: Here, I'll go ahead and post it here for you
