Tom -

Another Awesome creation, the colors are amazing! I really like the way you can flip it around if you have too.

Hopefully, I will be sewing this weekend, since work has been so crazy. (Fingers crossed)

Brenda

DD saw this the other day while we were shopping. She wanted to "sew" like Daddy, so I couldn't resist. It was only $14 at a discount clearance store. It actually sews, "chain stich". It also has a foot pedal.

Most of the time she just pretends to sew with it. It actually takes me more time to thread this, than my regular machine. :headache:

What do I think Tom? I think it is MARVELOUS!!!! Seriously- you are one talented guy, and even if you weren't a guy- you would still be insanely talented! Beautiful work!

Since I am still sewing machine -less ( my birthday is in two weeks- Yippeee) I can only sit here and ogle all your amazing things! Everything has been so cute an so fun to scroll through- I am getting so many great ideas I dont know how I will ever do them all!

Attention Pre-Teens and Moms of Pre- Teens, and Hot Moms who want customs!!!

Target is just brimming with stuff that could be Disney-fied. Adorable red polka dot long tunic style shirts that tie in the back- these would be so cute with little black capri leggings or white bermuda style shorts, some stuff with skulls that could be for the Pirate and Princess Party, and cute cute red polka dot ballet flat sneakers- check it out!!!

Hello ladies and Tom! (Oh wait, that's me!;) ) Thanks for including me in your posts. It really does encourage me to try to go on with making more creations!

It will either be a "hidden Mickey" or if she gets the princess side dirty during a meal, you can just "flip" it around and she will be "clean".;)

I made the matching hair bows too!

Also, my ruffler foot got a work out on this one! I don't think that I would have attempted something like this with out one!

Let me know what you all think!

GORGEOUS!

OK, that has me cracking up! :lmao: I need to incorporate that philosophy into my DD's clothes!

The dress is beautiful! Love the colors and the ruffles! Oh, and the hidden mickey, of course! Awesome job!

Tom - do you have a website or list for sale anywhere? Those look great!

No I don't. I just have started making clothes recently, and my OCD and "perfectionist" attitude, would really drive me crazy.

Sewing for my own princess keeps me busy enough. DW has plans for me to do several more "customs" for our upcoming trip. So I will be busy with those.

And you all are a bunch of enablers! Now what am I going to do with 12 yards of Minnie dot from Wal-mart!:confused3

Tom,

Adorable! I love how we do not hear from you for days. You post and then sew. Unlike the rest of us who gab back and forth!:rolleyes1

It is very nice and your daughter will look lovely in it! I too have been in ruffler land all day!

Looks great!

I think this is absolutely GORGEOUS. I love the color choices. She's going to be one of the best dressed princesses there.

Oops I edited the pics out, but you know what I'm talking about.

Yep! I do take breaks from my sewing to catch up, and get inspired. But I figure I won't post until I have something to show!

Thanks to all who have commented on my latest project! :goodvibes

Here is an outfit for 'Ohanas
019.jpg

I saw this on the BBB thread this morning and wondered, "has she posted on the boutique thread yet?" Very cute, I love the color! Your dd has beautiful eyes, I just wish at least one of my five kids had my brown eyes :sad2:

I need some help. I'm trying to decide what my girls should wear on their MK day. :confused3 I'm so confused.

I also vote for a twirl skirt and appliqued top, but you know you'll come up with something unique and outstanding... you always do!

Next week they do a "dry run" at pre-school since this is the first time going. I think they will wear these dresses! Whohoooty :cool1: I finished an outfit. Now I gotta make a back-to-school outfit :teacher: and then I think I am ready to begin my Disney stuff!!!

Very cute!! You're ready to get busy now!

I looked at the site that shall not be named and I really don't want to pay that much for them. I will keep scouring the shelves for some on a bolt.

BTW...does anyone else feel like we are talking in Harry Potter code when we mention the auction site that shall not be named? Maybe we should just call that popular auction site Voldemort, it's certainly shorter than typing "the auction site that shall not be named"! I just thought this was funny and couldn't keep it in any longer.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: As I was reading the first paragraph of your post, I was thinking the exact same thing!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

BTW, I looked on Voldemort this morning and can't find the sock monkey outfit, what gives?

Absolutely adorable!!! I love the "flip it around" idea, and also CastleCreations reversible idea, definitely time and $$ savers!

Oh breathtaking!!! I LOVE that it is not the traditional red/yellow/royal blue. May I ask, is that a pillowcase that you cut and appliqued, or did you do the whole applique? I think the "hidden Mickey' is great too! Are we allowed to "C.A.S.E???"

I absolutely love Tom's latest!!! Beautiful. Everyone is doing such a great job on here. I need to sew more and dis less. Maybe then I would finish something too. The choices we have to make----:confused3 .

I thought I read somewhere where someone got a cheap ruffler foot. Does anyone know where and how much??? I don't want to pay $30 for one. I don't have a little girl anymore--- she's a tween and that is alot for me to pay when I do the occasional for my niece. Thanks ---- Mindy

I saved it to my computer and tried enlarging it, and to me it looks like it is two casings with elastic, like you said. Although, it is pretty blurry when I enlarge it, so I could be wrong. Shirring would look pretty cute too! (However, I have had a bad shirring experience, so that's probably why I'm more inclined to want to believe it's the two rows of elastic!!!:lmao: )

The more I look at the photo, the more it does look like casing. Either would work. Shirring has more stretch but can be tricky. Cased elastic makes it easier to get the width a specific measurement.

Yes that is a pillow panel from wally world! I tried piecing a princess face together, and all I can say is :scared1: . Not something that I want to do again!

C.A.S.E. all you want!

Great job! Got to love ruffler feet. :) I've only had one for 6 months and can't believe I didn't buy one sooner.

I love your idea for the reversible dress. It's very tempting to consider doing that in the future... LOL

Yet another gorgeous creation by our very own Tom!
This is awesome! I love that Snow White has the pink and not red. SO cute and very feminine!
Nice work! The back/front idea is a great one!

*CastleCreations* You only have 6 days left!!!!! party:

I just booked our DisneyLand package for October this past week. :dance3: I'm so excited! This will be my first time EVER at the DisneyLand hotel!!!!!!! My hubby scored a few tickets for Mickey's Morning Madness at Toontown off of craigslist so I can take my twin boys for some extra special mom & me time together (I've been so busy all summer, so these moments have been rare lately). We're also doing Mickey's Halloween Treat (like MNSSHP), and our VERY FIRST character breakfast at Goofy's kitchen! I've still got about 80 days to go, but I'm already walking around my house with permagrin and doing the happy dance! Is anybody else *THIS* crazy??

My DD7 is wanting to be in the local beauty walk. I have no idea what to make to put her in. It will be a month from now, so still totally hot here in Alabama. What do you think? Is she too old for Strasburg dresses...which I can make? Should I go for the pageant evening gowns...which I could never make?:confused3

And you all are a bunch of enablers! Now what am I going to do with 12 yards of Minnie dot from Wal-mart!:confused3

I know what you can do with after your dw has you finish those customs just slip an extra in the mail to my dd Im sure noone would mind.... i can kinda sew - but your amazing!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that dress....

I try to keep up but can't always post to everyone but as usual the outfits are amazing....

I just finished up working on a grid to make a rag quilt for DS out of a Curious George soft book panel, some REALLY soft red "furry fabric" for the backing - I have to hit up the 1.87 a yard stuff at walmart for rainbow colors for the inbetween squares... it's going to be a big undertaking but it should be PDC (pretty darn cute) once it's done!
