I think I'm going to have to follow the crowd here and look into a ruffler foot! Especially if I'm going to CASE that cute dress! I've got a skirt sitting on my sewing table right now just waiting for some gathers to be put together, and I keep putting it off. I hate that I can never make it completely EVEN....drives me crazy!

I just booked our DisneyLand package for October this past week. I'm so excited! This will be my first time EVER at the DisneyLand hotel!!!!!!! My hubby scored a few tickets for Mickey's Morning Madness at Toontown off of craigslist so I can take my twin boys for some extra special mom & me time together (I've been so busy all summer, so these moments have been rare lately). We're also doing Mickey's Halloween Treat (like MNSSHP), and our VERY FIRST character breakfast at Goofy's kitchen! I've still got about 80 days to go, but I'm already walking around my house with permagrin and doing the happy dance! Is anybody else *THIS* crazy??

We went to DL last year in October! It was SO much fun! It was my FIRST EVER Disney experience. We went to Mickey's Halloween Treat, too! The kids had the best time at that! The weather was awesome, too.

I have been working all day on my black/pink/mickey ruffled skirt. I had really great success with the ruffler.

It took a lot of fabric and a long time! I made a strip work skirt out of the different fabrics. Then I made a black underskirt and attached the ruffle. Instead of doing an elastic waist I thought it would be fun to do a ribbion drawstring. Well here is the problem. . . DD is super skinny and has no hips! The fabric is too heavy and the skirt is falling down. There is no way she could flitter around WDW in this! I am not sure how to fix! Suggestions?

The skirt is a little long on purpose. She will grow plenty by the time she wears it. I am also making a black halter to go with. Of the three fabrics which do you think would be the cutest Mickey applique?

I looked at the site that shall not be named and I really don't want to pay that much for them. I will keep scouring the shelves for some on a bolt.

BTW...does anyone else feel like we are talking in Harry Potter code when we mention the auction site that shall not be named? Maybe we should just call that popular auction site Voldemort, it's certainly shorter than typing "the auction site that shall not be named"! I just thought this was funny and couldn't keep it in any longer.

Awesome! Don't you just love DisneyLand? It's a different experience from the World, but there are SO many things to LOVE about each place! I think I prefer the Magic Kingdom in DisneyLand to the MK in DW (it's my favorite Disney park of all)--the theming is just SPOT on in DisneyLand--especially in FantasyLand! Walt personally saw to it that NO detail was spared. It all just seems so magical! Yet nothing compares to EPCOT at DW. I think everyone should try both resorts--at least once!

This is the nemo I made---keep in mind all my creations are done by hand now!

Oh and Nemo bow and now to match my safari outfits---I made 2 of each but only took pics on 1

I figured out the key to getting something done! IGNORE this board! It has been about a week since I really sat down and read and now pictures of everything I got done. I also got the house cleaned!

Shorts I made for Dallas!

I am looking for ideas on the shirt. Thouht about doing an applique Nemo using the fabric as background water. I am not set on I want anything on the shirt though. I love to wear it with other things too! Any more ideas?

First birthday overalls I did for a lady! She was more then thrilled. I love how they turned out. Here is what the birthday party stuff will be,

the baby is only 6 months, so no pictures of her modeling it for a while.

I love the shorts. I have problems coming up with ideas too for my boys. I think a Nemo applique would look really cute. i've already cut out some of Nemo's friends for my son't outfit, just not sure yet where I want to put them.

Need help again! I've posted this before, but I wanted to get some more input. How do you think the top is done on this dress?

I was thinking maybe it was 2 casing with elastic and a small ruffle on top. Would that work? Or do you think its shirring? And how is shirring done?

I've been debating this myself with my pink minnie outfits I'm making. I've decided I don't like the pink with balck dots very much. Not sure why?? I would go with the black with pink dots. Are you thinking a Minnie applique?
