Hello ladies and Tom! (Oh wait, that's me!

) Thanks for including me in your posts. It really does encourage me to try to go on with making more creations!
My latest endeavor (inspired by LisaZoe's creations!):
Tom, beautiful work!! I love the Mickey on the back!
Most of the time she just pretends to sew with it. It actually takes me more time to thread this, than my regular machine.
Oh, how sweet! My daughters have versions of this sewing machine, and I have only threaded them twice I believe, because they are such a pain! Lydia just likes to sit by me with a scrap of fabric and pretend to sew anyway, so it's good. Arminda I'm afraid, just may not have the patience to sew. Corey though, has his very own, real sewing machine, courtesy of Aunt Heather (hkite).
And you all are a bunch of enablers! Now what am I going to do with 12 yards of Minnie dot from Wal-mart!
You should have ran before it was too late!
I absolutely love Tom's latest!!! Beautiful. Everyone is doing such a great job on here. I need to sew more and dis less. Maybe then I would finish something too. The choices we have to make----

.
I thought I read somewhere where someone got a cheap ruffler foot. Does anyone know where and how much??? I don't want to pay $30 for one. I don't have a little girl anymore--- she's a tween and that is alot for me to pay when I do the occasional for my niece. Thanks ---- Mindy
That was me, we got one of the White's ruffler feet (TheSeamstres posted a picture of one awhile back, and it's probably on the photobucket site) for $6.99 at Hancock's. They were on clearance, half off. They will try to tell you it won't fit your machine, but my advice would be to buy it if you aren't sure, and try it out. You can always return it if it doesn't work. We were told it wouldn't work on ours, but it does.
Did you happen to see the picture Heather posted of us in the
Walmart fabric department? That should answer the crazy question! I would be SOOOO excited if I only had 80 days left!!!!! As someone said so many pages ago, "I'll banana along with you!"
I have been working all day on my black/pink/mickey ruffled skirt. I had really great success with the ruffler.
It took a lot of fabric and a long time! I made a strip work skirt out of the different fabrics. Then I made a black underskirt and attached the ruffle. Instead of doing an elastic waist I thought it would be fun to do a ribbon drawstring. Well here is the problem. . . DD is super skinny and has no hips! The fabric is too heavy and the skirt is falling down. There is no way she could flitter around WDW in this! I am not sure how to fix! Suggestions?
The skirt is a little long on purpose. She will grow plenty by the time she wears it. I am also making a black halter to go with. Of the three fabrics which do you think would be the cutest Mickey appliqué?
It looks great! I am guessing that tightening the elastic didn't do the trick to keep it up. You could make a waistband and add a zipper or a button, that should keep it up. Or, if all else fails, suspenders ought to do the trick!
I like the black fabric with the pink dots for the appliqué.
Next are my jazzed up wallyworld dress and kmart overalls that I turned into a dress---they are not completely done as I need to do finishing touches.
This is the nemo I made---keep in mind all my creations are done by hand now!
I love the pimped out Minnie dress! I never thought of adding a panel to the bottom! Shoot! They were too short for Lydia, but she's so skinny, she could have worn it if it were longer. I haven't seen any of those at our Walmarts in awhile though. Well, yours looks fantastic!!!
That is one of my all time favorite twirling pictures!!!!
And, your daughter is going to be a gorgeous flower girl!!! She looks so pretty in that dress!
