I have permission to share from the seller/designers. I fell in love with the JoJo outfit Tink561 bought for Gracie and our very own Diser Dena made a similar one for my DN  The pretty little girl in the photo is her DD

I love that JoJo outfit! Do you have any pictures of your DN in it? From what I've see on here, Dena does some fantastic work! (I wish she would come around here more often though!)

He went to get a new key for the lawn mower and came home with a new sewing machine. He bought me the Brother 6000i I was looking at to surprise me.

Aww, that's sweet!!!

She was especially glad that the "mommy who made the Simba dress" liked her tooth. She is a crack up.

Well, shoot, you can't really see the crystals on the front like I hoped. They turned out cute and I only scorched the fabric once! :thumbsup2

She is SOOO adorable! I love that outfit!! How cool that she was happy that Heather liked knowing about her tooth! Heather and I have often said how adorable we think your daughter is!

I made these for the twins to carry their snack and water bottles at Disneyland. They love minnie. I thought I would share. I know me sewing isn't perfect. But I am still learning.
These are really neat! How did you make them?
I finally bought a ruffler, but I can't figure out how to use it!! I can attach it to my machine fine, but I cannot put the fabric in the right spots. Can anyone offer guidance? Thanks!

There are some tutorials on the bookmarks site, under tips and techniques.

I finished my 2nd applique (Well I almost finished it, I still have some detail work to do). I made the whole thing as requested by my DD. SHE is very happy with it!   I tried to get a decent picture of her spinning in it and couldn't catch her LOL.

Now I am off to enjoy a diet pepsi! I still need to make something for her to wear to her picnic tomorrow:confused3

aaaah!
It looks terrific! I can tell your daughter loves it too! What a pretty girl she is!

hey ladies & tom,

well as promised i got my capris done so i am sharing my work...i thought they turned out o.k. for what i had to work with...and taking care of my dh, who is recovering from surgery...

ashleysjeans.jpg

These are really cute!!! How is your dh doing?

I just loooooooooove that Jo J@ set and shoes!

Ok, you went and put that Minnie dress I love so much in your avatar! I bought the material to CASE that about a month ago! I think it is absolutely adorable!!!

First one - the diaper pouch. I want to make one for my DSIL, so I figure I should make about 20 first in order to get one that is good :rotfl:

Terri

Now, that's pretty funny!! I think the ones you made turned out really cute! And congratulations on suprising yourself with a curtain!!!

When I woke up the next morning, beside my closet was my Easter basket filled to the brim with goodies. Above it, hung an adorable dress, made from a collection of calico prints from my mothers cherished stash of fabrics. She spent the majority of the night making me a new dress to wear to church.

You've done gone and made me cry!!! Thanks for sharing such a beautiful story!

I have large hair naturally---- so I am dying for BIG hair to come back. I will be SO cool again.:rotfl: :thumbsup2

Funny! I have never had big hair besides the unfortunate perm of 84. But, if straight, yet very frizzy hair ever comes into style, I'm right there! :cool1:

Hmmm, somewhere in my massive mulit quote, I lost my sister. I just wanted to thank her for sharing the big hair photo of herself. And, in case anyone missed it, here it is again:

heather1990framed.jpg

Uhhhh, I need a king size pillow case...
But that' be nice and breezy for the Summer or vacation. I'd worry it'd get stuck in my crack, if you know what I mean :rolleyes1

Well! Norah is going to look fabulous for our vacation and the rest of us will be a hodge podge of mis-matched mayhem. At least I have the requisite lime green CROCS and Bagallini...to steer the eye away from the "mom clothes"....that's the plan anyway!:cool2:

We have to have lime green crocs???Nobody EVER tells me anything!! Add it to the list.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my jumper and Megan's loose tooth. When I told her about each one she said, see, I told you they would want to know. She was especially glad that the "mommy who made the Simba dress" liked her tooth. She is a crack up.

Here is my latest outfit: a bit more appropriate for Florida. I stole the idea from UtahMomma and I think it came out great. It needed some more bling, so I bought some iron-on crystals and added them to the front. She wore it today to the back to school picnic. She got lots of comments on it.

YOU- would you knock it off all ready you're making the rest of us look bad, what-do you sew in your sleep or something???

OLLIEGIRL: Welcome. I've been to your site before and well, I'm an honest gal...it's possible I will be C.A.S.E. ing some of your ideas. Just thought we should get that out in the open right now.:rotfl:

OK, yesterday at the little Joann's in town was NO HELP (though I did find some NIFTY POTC fabric, have ya'll seen it? I forgot my 40% off coupon so I have to go back) I went to the BIG Joann's today and was just as disappointed. However, I do have enough to get started on 1 outfit. Hopefully I'll have a pic for you on monday.

...t.

My mom would sew for me a lot when I was little. She was a real do-it-yourself-er.... I guess I come by it naturally!

Once I hit the tweens, I was such a pip about it. I'd see some trendy outfit that I wanted and my mother's comment would be, "oh, I can make that." We'd leave the store w/o it and whether she'd get to making it or not, I'd be disappointed. (What a brat I was!)

My Mother used to tell "me" to make it. She had me sewing when I was about 8. Yet my home ec teacher always gave me bad grades. My hem stitches were too big, my pins weren't placed close enough, my darts pointed the wrong way. I saw who cares!! I don't think there is a right or wrong way in creativity.

Beautiful! I love the color combo and she is so happy and pretty! :thumbsup2

ARGGGGG!!! I am NOT meant to sew today!!! I started making a ruffle fro DD's Halloween outfit...it didn't work!!! I QUIT!!! I AM DONE FOR THE DAY!!! I MIGHT ACTUALLY GO CLEAN!! :laundy:

Yup time for a break! Sewing is an art...you might not be able to do it everyday or all day. I notice at night when I am tired I make mistakes more often then normal :rotfl2: We've all been there. Try tomorrow! :dance3:

I also wanted to share my big '90's hair with you all. This is the story of how I met my husband- at the MALL!! The 2nd pic down showcases the biggest my hair ever got. It was just me, my curling iron, and a bottle of Stiff Stuff.

Heather...I love your "love story". ..I read it and cried :sad1: :flower3: happy tears! You and Teresa are so funny together...I like that you look out for each other and are so close. I hope my little ones are the same way when they grow up!

Awwwwwwwwww, now I am crying again!!! That is a beautiful story and I am so glad you went back and told your mom how much the new dress meant to you!

My headaches are a combo of my allergies and migraines.

Right now the machine is sitting on my sewing table looking nice and I am scared to touch it.

Congratulations on your new machine! What a nice surprise!!! Thats 5 points for your DH!

Sorry about your migranes and headaches. :headache: Hope you feel better! I am on the mend from "shingles". Yeeshhh is that painful. I like sewing to distract me from the pain!

These are really cute!!! How is your dh doing?

my dh is doing much better now...thanks for asking...he is still taking it easy since having surgery 2 days ago...he has his appetite back so that is good...between him and my dd's its been mom help me, honey can i have more water  but it has been worth every minute...

Here is my first attempt at uploading a photo, we'll see if this works! It was also my first attempt at sewing too! I found cute Tink fabric at Joann's and a cute iron on applique. The applique didn't stay on too well but the dress was very comfortable for my girls.

ARGHHH! Clearly this didn't work right! For whatever reasons, I cannot get photobucket to work for me so I tried to copy the properties with the URL address from my snapfish account and clearly that didn't work either! I guess I still need more help!

This is PRECIOUS! I love the fabric - unexpected for Mickey, but that's what makes it so awesome! TFS!

I saw the fabric and thought of back to school w/ it. and then she asked "are you putting mickey on that too?". and wallla between a 3 year old and me there it is!

I was able to get just enough juice in my camera battery to snap a few pics and upload. Here is the Halloween set. Simple, but very cute on!

And this is a close up of what I call the semi-appliqued tee. I heat-n-bonded the candy corn, and instead of stitching around the edges, I placed rhinestuds to trim. I like the way it looks, and if it doesn't hold up, then oh well. It's probably only gonna be worn once anyway.

hello everyone,

haven't had much chance to get onto the boards lately as i have had 4 kids (and 1 husband-who was an even bigger baby) sick with the flu. there has been a awful flu going around here lately that has actually killed a few children and a 40 year old man. so there are alot if nervious parents over here closely watching every cough and checking temps.

with the kids being sick and all wanting extra cuddles ( i have my 11 month old on my lap right now, he is the latest to get sick) my sewing time suffered.

i made an ariel dress for my dd6 but i have messed up the straps because when she puts it on the front puckers out too much(halterneck). i also messed up on the ariel applique. i cheated my doing her face on my embroidery machine and accidently set the machine to do her nose in black thread. so them i realised i would have to do all her skin outlined in black otherwise her nose would stand out to much. anyway here is a photo but i think it would look better if her skin and nose where done in a brownish tan colour. (p.s this is an outfit i CASEd from another outfit i saw a while ago on that little auction site;) ) front-

Holy smokes you've been busy! You're applique is fantastic!

I'm so sorry to hear that you've been hit with the flu in summer! I hope you guys beat it soon!

I was jut getting back online, and I said something about how cute your daughter was to my son, and he said, "You mean that little girl that looks like a mix between Lydia and Tessa?" I never thought about it before, but she does!

Has anyone ever tried one of these feet? It's called an edge cutter/side cutter. Here is the link:

http://sewingmachine221sale.bizland.com/store/page62.html

Someone else posted this link for something else earlier, and I've been wondering about purchasing this foot ever since. It's almost at the very bottom of the page. I'm wondering if it would be an alternative to purchasing a serger? Can anyone tell anything about this foot?
