After being so inspried by everyone I have bought a custom outfit for DN birthday. I have permission to share from the seller/designers. I fell in love with the JoJo outfit Tink561 bought for Gracie and our very own Diser Dena made a similar one for my DN  The pretty little girl in the photo is her DD :cutie: I found a seller on Voldemort to make the matching shoes :cool1:

He went to get a new key for the lawn mower and came home with a new sewing machine. He bought me the Brother 6000i I was looking at to surprise me.

Now I am going to read through the manual.

Do they make a ruffler foot for this machine?

You sound so mellow! That is sooo sweet of him! Enjoy it!!

I don't know if they make a ruffler for sure, but I would imagine any larger manufacturer like that would!

Can't wait to see what you make with it!

By the looks on her face, you must feel very satisfied!! She looks thrilled!!!

Beautiful, Dena!

Thanks to everyone who commented on my jumper and Megan's loose tooth. When I told her about each one she said, see, I told you they would want to know. She was especially glad that the "mommy who made the Simba dress" liked her tooth. She is a crack up.

Here is my latest outfit: a bit more appropriate for Florida. I stole the idea from UtahMomma and I think it came out great. It needed some more bling, so I bought some iron-on crystals and added them to the front. She wore it today to the back to school picnic. She got lots of comments on it.

Well, shoot, you can't really see the crystals on the front like I hoped. They turned out cute and I only scorched the fabric once! :thumbsup2

She looks adorable! And I love that she wanted us to see her loose tooth!

Uhhhh, I need a king size pillow case...
But that' be nice and breezy for the Summer or vacation. I'd worry it'd get stuck in my crack, if you know what I mean :rolleyes1

Well! Norah is going to look fabulous for our vacation and the rest of us will be a hodge podge of mis-matched mayhem. At least I have the requisite lime green CROCS and Bagallini...to steer the eye away from the "mom clothes"....that's the plan anyway!:cool2:

Nothin' worse than a pillowcase wedgie...:lmao:

I questioned that myself, about the white pants. I knew they would get wet, on the rides, and they did, so thankfully Ireland had on white undies.
They stayed really clean, except for an incident with a run-a-way strawberry, down the front of Ms. Alexis. She was so upset, I felt bad for her. I bleach penned it this morning...but who knows...it's in the wash now...

I've had to bleach pen some strawberries on white, too. They came out, but I think I had to one of them twice.

Ok, now that worries me...:scared: (talking about E6000) What should I be careful about? Should I use a Q-tip or something to apply it? I thought someone had said not to use the tip it comes with?

I usually use a toothpick to apply it. I think a q-tip might get little cotton fibers everywhere.

I made these for the twins to carry their snack and water bottles at Disneyland. They love minnie. I thought I would share. I know me sewing isn't perfect. But I am still learning.

I finally bought a ruffler, but I can't figure out how to use it!! I can attach it to my machine fine, but I cannot put the fabric in the right spots. Can anyone offer guidance? Thanks!

... Actually, they do! :) ...
And at Hobby Lobby, I found some CLASSIC DISNEY STORIES Coloring Books = Alice, Dumbo, Bambi, etc ...
They are nice, but $6 each & 'thin' = some great pixs to work with but not a ton, like the BIG coloring book mentioned above had.
I keep meaning to run by Barnes-n-Nobles & see what they have there. I have a sneaking suspicion they don't carry a big selection of coloring books ... There's a small selection of coloring books at our local Big Lots, but mostly-non-disney ... some pooh, though.

My girls (3 & 5) are reeeeally into coloring and tracing (on my light table = they use it more than me) ... :) We've started a coloring book collection, I guess.
Unfortunately, right now, my girls are super-big into Care Bears and Land Before Time
(Teddy Bears & Dinosaurs, go fig), and their noses go up at pretty much all else. But, that leaves the disney character books to me :rolleyes1

I have 3 (or is it 4) Hello Kitty coloring books that are just for me. Plus a Curious George, Tigger & Pooh, & a Princess one. I used to color in them when I was sick & didn't feel like doing anything else (yes, I STILL like to color). Now I mostly use them with my little overhead projector for art one the kids walls or birthday party decorations. I'm planning to try my hand at applique with them.

Sorry I don't mean to sound mellow. I am extremely excited over the new machine. I just have not slept since well this past week due to sever head aches.

I'm sure we'll watch the "sing along" version this weekend. It was a cute movie and had some fun songs. What matters most to me is DD loved it and will no doubt be singing the songs (or at least the words she remembers LOL). I'm thinking I might make her a cheerleader outfit like from the first movie. I think she'd love that for her dress-up box. :)
that would way cute. i will send you jayedyn's measurements as well:rotfl:

Aww, that's so sweet! How nice of him! Arminda is making plans to return to my Mom's house to watch the sing along version. We don't have cable(we just have rabbit ears :scared1: ), so we have to rely on the kindness of relatives.

I am glad that Arminda is loving it so much, because before, it was just ME that loved it!

Now, we just need to get the double DVD set with the added bonus features! (no, it isn't out yet, but I know it will be!)
i will be all over that too.

Spongie- I wouldn't post pictures of you stuck in a pillow case dress! That would be mean! To be really honest with you, and in all sincerity, I just couldn't do that to anyone- even as a joke. I know how frustrating it is to put an item of clothing on and then not be able to get it off (been there, done that!)

Instead..... I would call the fire department for you (yeah , the one next to my house) and get them over here to help you get out of it! After all- that's their job! :rotfl2:
thanks, it was late and i was trying to be funny:laughing: i should have said this part instead::: and then someone who lives next to a Firestation? would call them and they would send over there Big RED firetruck to the rescue.... i think we all have been stuck in some type of clothes and couldn't get them off i also knows how that feels:hug:
