MAZEL TOV!!!

Glad the bat mitzvah was a success!!!! I'm sure you are very, very proud! Can't wait to see the pictures.

Amanda

:rotfl2: Test drive in Kentucky? Must be a helluva car! Testing in Vegas is a win-win. Not sure what there is to do in Kentucky though I'm sure there will be some good dining.

How did she find said car in Kentucky? I'm guessing online. I have a coworker whose dad buys cars from eBay, no test drive, just bids and buys. He's never bought a lemon but I can't imagine.

Sounds like she's on the mend which is the best news. :goodvibes

She has all kinds of things in her "saved searches" on eBay. We have bought at least two cars from eBay without a test drive, but in this case if you knew the price of the car....did you every watch the show Remington Steele? If you remember his car, THAT's what she wants! :rotfl2:

:goodvibes Thank you Amanda. I can't wait to share them.

How are you? I'm sorry about Buffy.

:rotfl2: :lmao: Remington Steele. Talk about a blast from the past. Okay, so I guess the eBay car thing isn't odd. Whoda think it? I'm far too neurotic.

So when do you leave for Kentucky? ;)

:dumbo: 134 days until WDW!!! :dumbo:

Planning has been a little on hold with the end of school but I'm back in full swing. My friend posted some photos of the AoA on her FB site and I watched a couple of YouTube videos and I've got to say, I'm pretty stoked we'll get to check it out. Even though we most likely won't arrive to the resort until 10:30 pm, the food court will be open until midnight and supposedly the pool doesn't technically close as long as you're quiet. There aren't lifeguards though super late.

I need to post my updated itinerary. :cloud9:

Hope everyone has a Happy Friday and Shabbat Shalom to Amanda. :goodvibes

Shabbat shalom to you, too.
That's great that you're so psyched about AoA!

 We skipped services last night. Chloe needed a Jew break. :rotfl: I don't blame her. We went to the pool today and are heading to the drive ins tonight for our friend's son's graduation celebration. It's a brilliant idea. No fuss, no mess.....the kids are so tired that I'll be shocked if they make it thought the first movie. It's part of my evil plan to get some peace and quiet.

Hope you're enjoying your Saturday everyone. :grouphug:

Congratulations to Chloe on the bat mitzvah success! (And I don't blame her for needing a break after all that work!) I may be Catholic, but I had plenty of friends who went through all of that, and it is a very impressive impressive accomplishment for someone that age!

Jenny! How are you?

I am finally getting some DIS time. So happy Chloe's Bat Mitzvah went well. So jealous your kids are done with school. We have 3 more weeks. Friday was Field Day in Central Park and yesterday I was at my nephew's 4th birthday pool party. I have had WAY to much sun and ended up with 8 mosquito bites.

I've been looking through AoA pictures and it looks AMAZING! Have you booked a specific section? I'm considering changing our flights to get a AoA night, instead of the Ritz Carlton.

:goodvibes Thank you. It's been quite the journey and we couldn't be more proud. My father is Catholic and I grew up Catholic actually. My mother is Jewish.

Hey girl! How are you? How was the party other than the bites and sun stroke? ;) Happy Birthday to your sweet nephew! :goodvibes How badly did Aunt Gussy spoil him?

I'm so glad their finished and what's even better is that they don't go back until September 4!!! We haven't gone back that late in as long as I can remember. Three whole beautiful months. Good luck with your last 3 weeks. :goodvibes

I booked the Nemo section. :thumbsup2 Cars looks so good too but we love Nemo collectively as a family. It's one of our favorite movies. I couldn't resist and I'm so glad we've booked it. We'll arrive late but I'm okay with that. YouTube the pool and see what neat surprise there is.

Hey Jenny! It's been quite awhile since I've been on the DIS, but I did want to drop in and say CONGRAT's on Chloe's Bat Mitzvah! I'm glad everything went great!

So you're 131 days today and I'm at 103. I can't wait to do the double digit dance! So I'm waiting for your updated itinerary so I can see when your AoA comes into play. When did you decide to add that in? I'm so far out of the loop on your PTR!!! I'm going to try and stay caught up now...

All of our plans are made for our Sept trip and I don't know if I told you, but I threw in a last minute trip in August due to a work trip that got scheduled in Orlando! I'm flying my mom down at the end of my work trip, on Thursday and booked a room at POR - French Quarter for Thursday to Sunday! It will be just her and I so I'm pretty excited!

Can't wait to see your itinerary!

:goodvibes Hey girl, how have you been? Thanks for the congrats. I know I keep saying it but we are very proud of her.

We decided to stay a night at AoA because the good flight prices didn't have us landing at MCO until 9 pm at the earliest and who wants to waste Saturday night DVC points to arrive to the resort at 10:30 pm? Not this one. ;) So I booked AoA in case the Saturday night prices dropped below the Sunday night prices, which they did, by a lot. So now we are staying there for just one night. :woohoo: I'm actually really looking forward to it. I'll post an updated itinerary soon.

Yay for you adding in an August trip! How fantastic that you're taking your mom too. I've read so many great things about the POFQ!

Any changes or updates to September? popcorn::

So happy it all went well...and then you all took a little well earned downtime!

Kendall survived Avalanche...barely! Jammed her toe and rolled her ankle again. Made it into the semi's but only b/c for some bizarre reason the team ahead of them dropped out (???) and they mucked up our scores...still not right on the site apparently. Partially fixed but not all the way, really bad reporting on that end.

I'm glad they made it to the semi finals but ouch, how's her foot? Poor thing. :goodvibes How did K like Utah? It was a hot weekend for sure.

Here's our itinerary. Changes are in red. :flower3:

Saturday:
- arrive WDW, stay AoA one night, food court at AoA which is supposed to be varied and tasty. So excited! :woohoo:

Sunday:
- breakfast at AoA
- MK, CS
- grocery shopping
- 50s PT all 11 of us! :yay:
- MGM for EMH

Monday:
- sleep in
- Epcot, F&W meet Alison and Fran in WS
- break
- MK for EMH so either Be Our Guest or 'Ohana- partay of 11! :woohoo: I'm really considering canceling 'Ohana even if Be Our Guest isn't open. I'm having a difficult time swallowing the price. We will have stuffed ourselves at F&W so I'm thinking a snack/light meal in the villa would be perfect before heading to MK for EMH.

Tuesday:
- Typhoon Lagoon, CS
- Turf Club for dinner post water parks
- DTD for a little shopping

Wed:
- AK rope drop, CS
- break
- WS EMH, Rose and Crown or F&W , Illuminations

Thurs:
- sleep in, M golf
- meet Cynthia?
- BBQ tri tip before MK, all 11 of us :cheer2:
- MK MNSSHP- yay!! fireworks and parade

Friday:
- check out and into AKV
- Blizzard Beach, CS
- Saana and AKV activities that evening :cloud9:

Saturday:
- MGM EMH
- pool break, grill by pool for lunch
- Date with Michael - Raglan Road! Kids? Who cares! :lmao:

Sunday:
- Epcot FW or sleep depending on night before ;)
- break
- Boma before EMH
- MGM EMH, Fantasmic!

Monday:
- sleep in
- Brunch in villa
- MK
- Kona Cafe
- MK EMH, MSEP :cloud9:

Tuesday:
- YES at AK, CS
- break
- Epcot, eat around the World or Via Napoli

Wed:
- pack
- cry
- check out
- DTD or a park as we've ended up with an extra day on our hoppers

So not a ton of changes but enough to need another color. :rotfl2: I still need to find a spot for MK's regular fireworks as well as check my Fantasmic and MSEP times.

Comments, concerns?

We've only eaten at 'Ohana once and that was 4 years ago but we really didn't care for it at all. I thought it was tremendously noisy and the food was only ok. I have read better reviews recently but we have never returned. Part of the problem with buffet pricing (I know it's not technically a buffet but it's all you can eat) is that it doesn't account for how hungry you feel that day. I've had sit-down meals at Disney where I ordered a salad and an appetizer. We've had our children share meals. You can't do that at a buffet.
I think your plans look great!!!

Thanks! I'm trying to pack a lot in I realize and I'm sure we'll change at least 1/3 of it while there. I think I like planning almost as much as the trip.

We like 'Ohana but not $240 like. ;) Having 6 adults just kills us price wise.

I often order like you do and DS and I share a lot. :thumbsup2

So I love the itinerary! So great that you were able to squeeze so much in there! I like your date night too, Jay and I were just talking about that the other night. I think with everyone around and all the craziness, it might be nice to escape atleast for a quick quiet dinner.

Now - you have me concerned though about O'Hanas. I have a reservation there on our last night for all 10 of us. Aside from the $$$ how would you say the meal was? Is it good? I picked it originally because I thought that it would be fun for the kids but now I'm thinking that it is our last night together and if it's so loud and crazy, we won't even be able to hear ourselves talk. Do you have another suggestion? But not in a park suggestion, a few of the people are only getting 5 day passes so I'm not sure how that would work now.

I can't wait to see what you think about A o A! Take lots and lots of pictures! So far there hasn't been any changes or updates to our trip. I did manage to get our AP's before the price increase and since I'll get 3 trips out of them and Jay will get 2, it worked out great.

On Friday I'll be at 99 days! I can't believe it will be double digits!!!! WOOHOO!!!!:banana:
