Keurig reason to shun the new VGF resort studios--a rant

Insane? Perhaps. But if this is what insanity looks like, I hope there is no cure. I can't fathom a world without coffee.

I've often wondered how people can live without coffee. Lol

Insane? Haha, mabye. Aren't we all a little insane? I mean we did give Mickey thousands and thousands of dollars to own at DVC. I suspect some may call us insane, LOL.

Speaking of Coffee and VGF, what happened to the “free” Nespresso in the lobby? Went to tour the new Villas and they were gone and the DVC representative knew nothing about it. Or am I just imagining they were there a few years back?

No it was there before. I have not stayed VGF since 2017 but I definitely remember it being there.

I don't drink coffee, so this is a non-issue for me.

Most of us coffee drinkers think all the coffee snobbery is insane too. I mean, it's a cup of coffee. I like some better than others and I can tell the difference between quality coffee and not, but come on. Most of it is just personal preference. Whatever your favorite food, drink, restaurant, whatever is, you can find people online who say they wouldn't feed it to their dog. So subjective.

Now the waste, recyclability thing is a different discussion. I can see the arguments against the cups on that basis.

I would bet that Disney would happily lend you a VGF1 style coffee maker in a VGF2 studio for the duration of your stay, if you ask. The speed with which they delivered a brand new coffee maker to our VGF1 room when we called about the pot having a small chip suggests that they have a cupboard full of them.

I found an interesting coffee solution for my trip last year. Vietnamese coffee in individual strainers with a little cardboard part that pops out over your cup so you can pour hot water over it. All recyclable and came with sweetened condensed milk too. It was better than the in room coffee and faster than standing in line.
