Well, we're back. We arrived on Friday, the 12th at AllStarMusic around 11ish. We were able to check in right away. That surprised me since there were so many already there for the pop warner/cheerleader things. We got our third floor room, in Jazz. On the side away from the pool. It was a great room. I have to say that we were somewhat apprehensive about staying here. But, I was most pleasantly surprised. The room was only a bit smaller than the rooms at POR. We didn't miss the double sink since we had a single sink at the Polynesian last summer. It was only 10 y/o Katie and myself. We found the food court to be quite fine. The buses arrived frequently. In fact, Katie, after making the choice to stay at the Polynesian, said she liked AllStarMu much better!!! Sheesh. The money we could have saved. Anyway....
We went over to Epcot and ate at Garden Grill. Very good food and great service. Then we did the Candlelight Processional. We loved that!!! Will do it again.
The next day was over to MGM. We did Star Tours, Great MOvie Ride and ToT. THen over to the Haunted Mansion area. Loved that, but Katie started feeling really sick. We had to leave MGM. Didn't even get to pick up our ToT photo. When a 10 y/o says she wants to go back to the resort and lie down, you know there's a problem. She slept for 2 1/2 hrs.!! Then we went over to MK. Now, I know better than to do MK on a Sat. but Katie really wanted to do it and we were supposed to meet some Dis'ers. Ray Sharpton, Highland Lassie etc. So, off we went. By the time 7:00 rolled around, Katie was feeling really bad again. SHe never really got better. So, back to the room we went.
We did a resort hop to see the decorations on Sunday morning since it was raining. But, the kid didn't really get into it due to her yucky health. We did manage to do MVMCP that night. And really enjoyed it. I do have to wonder how they can run out of the buttons at 7:00 though. We managed to get one to share. WE loved the parade. It was terrific. Will do that again also.
We did manage to get over to Boardwalk to see exactly what it is that we bought into last fall!! Yep, we're in love. Can't wait to stay there this coming summer.
I guess, all in all, it was a pretty good trip. My poor Katie only wanted to get home to her own bed though. She coughed all the way home. It was chilly most of the time we were there. And there were a lot more people in the parks than I thought there would be. Evidently, the Florida schools are out this week for Christmas. Didn't know that. Ah well. It's off to do the laundry and clean the house. Mother's job just never ends. Looking forward to planning the next trip.
