Kate's Back on Track Journal - comments welcome

Glad to hear that you actually got to run outside. Its much easier than getting to the gym, isn't it? Sounds like your weekend was fun & congrats on the great job on eating you did at the party!

Sounds like you're doing AWESOME, Kate. Self Control is SO hard for me, but you seem to be doing well at it.

Enjoy the warm weather! We've been having it here, too, and I'm loving it.

Have a great week!

OK, I'm officially bummed now. WI this morning and I'm UP a pound. :furious:

I haven't been great at posting here, but my eating has been good, and I've even gotten back to exercising this week.

That being said, I've also been with this long enough to know that some weeks are like this. Work hard, and things seem to backfire. I'm certainly not giving up, it will happen. It just would have been nice right now.

We've got the van in the shop AGAIN. Had it back for a week and now it is not running well. :confused3

Celebrated DH's birthday which was fun, can't believe I'm married to a 50 yr old!! :rotfl:

ok, onward. Grocery shopping with mom today, I'm going to look for the butter buds and some other items I've been meaning to try.

Julie, Amy, Jane, thanks for continuing to encourage me! :goodvibes

Bummer about the gain! I've been there SO many times, and I know you just have to keep chugging along and eventually you will get the results you want.

I will also freak when my DH turns 50 in 2 more years (since he is 14 years older than me...)

Sorry to hear about your car troubles. All the bad stuff seems to come crashing down at once, doesn't it? I hope that all gets taken care of soon.

Hang in there and keep eating well and exercising! :cheer2:

Kate how did your husband deal with his 50th? Dh kept saying that he didn't want a party & was bummed out. I went behind his back and planned all kinds of stuff. We had a blast. I could have killed the host at the Olive Garden. Dh & I went to the podium and I gave dh's name. The host said "party of 16?". That kind of ruined the surprise but the look on dh's face was priceless.
Sounds like you had a nice time. Our turns are coming up!

We were thinking of doing a joint dinner celebration for him and DD who turns 21 the end of the month. :sunny:

Hey Kate-

It's been too long since I've posted here. Your food the last few days looks great, and good for you for doing 50 minutes of cardio at the gym!

I saw where you gained a pound, but also noticed that your attitude about it is really good. Some weeks are like that. Hang in there, it will happen for you!

Great job getting to the gym and resisting that coffee cake! Sometimes it's best for me to skip it all together, since I know I can rarely get by with "just one bite". What amazing willpower! :worship:

You're doing great staying on program. No wonder you look so thin in your pic!

Thanks Amy, and Jane - but that pic was last year on our anniversary trip. I'd like to lose 10 lbs to get back to where I was there!! :sunny:

Kate, you look great in that picture. It looks like you're having a wonderful time. Does Coronado Springs have any entertainment onsite? I've always wanted to stay there but everytime I tried to reserve a room there it was always full price. (It must really be popular.) I gave up and ended up at POFQ, and now we love that place so much we haven't booked CS yet. W-Sat POFQ has a singer/entertainer in the lounge. After a busy day we love coming back to our resort, getting a drink & listening to him until midnight.

Those 10lbs are going to come off because you're eating and workouts have been right on target! :woohoo: Way to go!

Jane, I think they probably have entertainment at CS, since it is the "convention" resort, but we didn't have a chance to find out! We were busy every night, and really didn't spend all that much time there. It is very pretty, and has a nice pool area, and nice food areas also.

One night we had dinner outside, with my nephew and his wife who live in Ovieda, if you know where that is.
Another night we met some friends who were also vacationing in the area the same week - we ate that night at Flying Fish, I think it was, on the Boardwalk.
Our actual anniversary we went to Cirque de Soleil, then dinner at the Cali Grill (the picture), and another night we wanted to see Fantasmic, so almost all of our evenings were busy! Fun though! :sunny:

Isn't Cirque great? We've seen it twice - once with kids and once without. We loved it so much we've talked dh's family and half of mine into seeing it too. Next time we go to WDW I'll definately have to check out Coronodo Springs. I've heard so many positive reviews of that place.
