Just returned today from an AWESOME vacation at Disneyland-any questions-ask away?

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away and I'll try and help the best I can :)

Which character meal(s) did you end up doing? I know at one point you were considering Goofy's and then I think you were interested in a different one too, if I am not mistaken. I want to bump the thread you originally started about posting character meal photos because I think it is a valuable resource for any of our DIS'ers out there who are interested in character dining. So it would be great if you could post some pictures on that thread too!! Here is the link, too: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2170088.

We just flew home today from LAX so I haven't uploaded any photos yet. I'll get to that a little later hopefully :) We did Goofy's Kitchen which was absolutely WONDERFUL! The character interaction was awesome as was the food:thumbsup2 We also did the Storyteller's at the Grand Californian where we stayed and we enjoyed it but was our least favorite of the meals we had while vacationing. We also did Minnie & Friends at the Plaza and that was THE BEST!!!! The interaction with characters was splendid and the food was YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVED those made to order omelets and Mickey waffles-YUMMO! The characters were plenty with the Fairy Godmother, Capt. Hook, Tigger, Eeyore, Pooh, and I can't remember the rest off the top of my head. We also did the Celebration Roundup and BBQ and this was me and my kids fav dinner meal. My hubby liked the grilled chicken and corn wagon wheels and the red velvet cupcake cone but that is all he could eat as he didn't like the cornbread, coleslaw or baked beans. However, me and my 2 kids LOVED it all. My hubby enjoyed the guy on the guitar and the overall service, food and atmosphere was WONDERFUL! The red velvet cupcake cone was AWESOME:thumbsup2 My daughter and I did just a girls lunch at Ariel's Grotto and that was a WONDERFUL experience with food and princess interaction. We had a pasta dish which was spicy with sausage and peppers, etc and it was very good! We had enough food for a group of 5 :scared1: but..........we ate what we could and it was delish! They bring out a platter trio of different things like salami, cheeses, veggies, salad, etc. Then a basket of bread and such and then our main dish was the pasta and then a dessert platter with mini smore's, a chocolate chip like brownie, a white chocolate seashell. Needlesss to say, we didn't leave there hungry nor did we at any of our eateries. We loved them all! Any more questions, feel free to ask. I'll post some pics when we get settled back in.

Oh my goodness, I almost forgot. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the corndogs in California Adventure at the Farm like area eatery. That corndog was soooooooooooooo good!!!! Our family enjoyed the Pizza Port too in Tomorrowland. The ceasar salad and veggie pizza were delicious! Needless to say, we didn't have a bad eating experience anywhere in the parks. Loved those churros-YUM! Wetzel's Pretzels in Downtown Disney were soooooo good! The pepperoni pizza pretzels. Love the Jamba Juice too! Had one of those almost everyday! The one little bakery on Mainstreet, can't remember the name right now, but they had HUGE blueberry muffins and HUGE cinnamon rolls, all which were so good! They had a hot mocha too- which hit the spot one morning. We were pleased with everything. We ate at the Rainforest Cafe-2 thumbsup there:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Blue Ribbon Bakery!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE their messy, ooey gooey, warm cinnamon rolls!!!! And their blended mochas!!

It sounds like you had a fabulous time - if for no other reason, lots of GREAT dining experiences! I am like you - I really have not had too many bad dining experiences at DLR at all. I am usually pretty pleased with everything.

It also sounds like you did ALL of the character meals (except Lilo and Stitch). Well, you said Storytellers, so I assumed you meant the Critter Breakfast, but maybe you just ate a regular meal there? Of course, I love Goofy's as everyone knows, so I am in 100% agreement with you on that. Storytellers as a character meal is only okay for me. Not bad but not mind-blowing! I have not done the other ones yet. I do like Storytellers more as a regular restaurant for lunch or dinner. I was looking at that pasta dish you had at Ariel's on a menu somewhere and it DOES sound delicious! I also love Rainforest Cafe!

Anyway, remember to post your character meal pictures (when you get them loaded) onto that character meal photo thread you started (which I bumped) - it would be good to keep them all in one place for everyone to see.
