Transportation Trip Report-7/24 to 7/31

The Furnacefighter and his family just returned from WDW and would like to share our transportation findings with you. Trip takers consisted of DH-me, DW, and DD-17. We reside in the Philadelphia area.

Priority Airport Parking, Essington, PA

At airport terminal twenty mins after driving on the Priority parking lot. Picked up in less than five mins from making pick up phone call on return flight. This is the third time we have used their service. We have always found them courteous and reliable, a real value. Vans were easy to spot and drivers were quick to pull over and let us on.

Airtran Airways

Our jet pulled away from the gate on time, lots of planes waiting on the runway, somehow we arrived in Orlando fifteen mins ahead of schedule. Great flight, good service, choppy going down, smoother coming home, flight arrived slightly behind schedule coming home because pilot made several course corrections to avoid rough air. This airline is very service oriented. Well trained in what they do and they have excellent customer service skills. We would rate their service on the same level as Spirit and Frontier. Rates were not bad either, slightly higher than Southwest. Felt a little uneasy using the Southwest browser, unable to book flight down and return at the same time.

Disney’s Magical Express

This service could not have worked out better. We arrived late on a Sunday night so we encountered no waiting line at all, walked right on the bus. Others on the bus were going to a value resort so we went straight to CBR. The trip from the airport to resort took about forty mins. We tagged our checked bags with the yellow DME tags so we packed our carry on bags with everything we needed on the first day. We called CBR bell service when we got to our room and told them to hold the luggage till morning if it did not arrive by 12:30 AM. At seven the next morning a CBR bellhop knocked on the door with our checked luggage all safe and sound. The day before we left WDW we received written notification when to report to the CBR customs house. The bus arrived on time and we found ourselves at the airline gate and hour and a half before departure. The last time we were down we used the Mears Airport Service, found them to give great service. Mears has partnered with Disney to form DME. Same great service only you don’t have to claim your checked luggage at the airport and you arrange for the service with one call to Disney bookings. We found DME to be efficient and worry free, in a word, flawless.

Disney Transportation System

The past two times we’ve stayed on site we have marveled at the efficiency of DTA (Disney Transit Authority). This visit was no exception. The longest we waited for a bus was fifteen mins. Service above and beyond was displayed at MK after the Wishes Fireworks Show. Three buses showed up at the same time to take guest back to CBR. We availed ourselves to all forms of Disney transport, bus, ferry, monorail, riverboat, channel craft, and MK taxi to Cinderella’s front door. Some Disney bus driving cast members were quite outgoing on some return trips from the parks. Their intercoms became open mics filling guest with Disney trivia and jokes. Buses were on the crowded side. Half the time we had to stand. In our opinion, Martinique received the best bus service in the CBR. On most trips guests at that village were the first ones on and then first ones off on the return trip.

very nice. Thank you for taking the time to post the report.
