I booked with my mom (for my birthday trip :cool1:) for October and we have been waiting for a resident discount. We are booked at Pop Century. Today I received and email offering me an upgrade for only $49 more per night to the Boardwalk Inn. I have never stayed at Boardwalk, (neither has mom). We are just fine and happy with Pop Century but for $150 a night we could stay at boardwalk and try it out. Should we? Is there a type of cafeteria at boardwalk that we could eat breakfast and dinner at like at Pop Century? Ive visited the resort to look around but staying there is a whole other thing..lol

$150/nt for an Epcot area resort during F&W? I would totally jump on that!

As far as your question about the food court, I don't believe that BW has anything like that. They do have the Boardwalk Bakery, though, which people love for breakfast pastries, and you'd be within walking distance (or a relaxing boat ride) to all of the CS options at WS in Epcot!

Congratulations on a great upgrade offer. I've never stayed there either so I can't really answer those questions for you. But...I'd love that upgrade though my reason is because of the location. We spend most of our time at Epcot & you can walk there or to DHS...there is also a boat to those places. Not having to catch a bus & taking a stroll instead would be so much faster & more enjoyable also.

Yeah ok so maybe it was a stupid question. lol The thing is we really like the food court option for Pop but I'm thinking it might be nice to have the walking to Studios and Epcot (which we have done and is totally kool). Where would you get a refillable mug filled here then? What other quick dining options are there if we didnt have epcot open or werent going to a Sit down meal later at night?

Wow! Very Lucky!! Never heard of this happening, but Congrats! Just as everyone said, YES take the offer. That is amazing for during the food and wine festival!:yay:

there isn't a food court, but you can walk or take the boat to all the restaurants in all 5 resorts that circle the lake. Go to Allears.net and check out the lists at Swan, Dolphin, Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk.

In my mind there's no reason I wouldn't take that upgrade. Awesome! Have fun either way!!

I've never stayed there but from what I've read I believe that there are several places to fill refillable mugs.

Have a great trip!

OK yeah I just checked on allears and you can refill at three places. Now to convince my mom!!! lol....

JUMP ON IT!!!

Stayed there this past April during the F&G time- and Easter, no less. Even with my great discount- it was still $300 a night. I HIGHLY recommend the BWI. It is convenient to 2 parks, it tends to be quiet, the breeze coming off the water is grat for the afternoon.

The bakery is great and YOU ARE RIGHT NEXT TO EPCOT!!!! Very convenient. Oh, did I say it was next to EPCOT-and convenient!

Take me with you!

You can eat CS at any restaurant in WS and it will take you less than 10 minutes to get there! No convincing necessary... you are getting a $400 room for $150! WOW!!! CONGRATS!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Wow, the Boardwalk? I'm jealous! :rotfl: I got the same upgrade email today, but was offered Coronado Springs for $19 more!

I'm thinking of doing it...:confused3
