Just offered an upgrade?

Ok so im not having much luck here lol I called back this morning to see if anything was available and was offered the Wilderness Lodge for the same price, so I will prob call later to see if they stil have it. Unfortunately I didnt have my wallet with me so couldnt up the deposit $, so thats why I have to call back later... .

Not too thrilled with WL but its a deluxe and I'd like to stay in one one day!..lol

By the way WL isnt my fave deluxe, but we visited it was impressed... Its also close to MK.. Id go for it!

Did you do the math to see which way you would save more?

Last yr we had FD and decided we wanted to stay Poly, called got a quote, did the math and we saved alot of money using room only and adding DDP and tickets.. GF is an amazing resort!!!

I too have received an upgrade email today. It's for Saratoga springs fir $45 more a night. We are booked now at Pop sept 22-24 for $85 a night? Should I do it? If all the resorts, Saratoga is the least appealing to me. Any other deluxe or even OKW I would have switched in a heartbeat. But now I don't know what to do? Any advice?

Yes I called about 3 hours after I received the email yesterday and was told nothing was available. I then called this morning to see if anything had become available and was told they had the WL however for some reason my CC did nto stay on file and I did not have my wallet with me at work (int he car) so I couldnt change my ressie. I will call at lunchtime or after work when I get my wallet.

ETA: I figured out why my code would not work. My email had one digit off , it was suposed to be 8 instead of 7, the CM gave me the right code this morning for when I call back!

OP-- stop considering it and just do it!!!

Hubby has not stopped talking about Boardwalk since we stayed in the villas earlier this year. He said some of his best memories other than meeting up with friends was sitting on the balcony in the morning with his cup of coffee and treat from the Boardwalk Bakery and just watching the people below and the lake.

Thank you! Your post lead me to call Disney reservations, and I got major good news for all the people that were lucky enough to get an upgrade pin.
I asked the CM on the phone if that pin only applies to the resort that was mentioned in the email I received ( saratoga springs in my case) or to other resorts too. Well, she said that can be applied to others if they are available and she began checking other resorts. Long story short She gave me Yatch club Water view for $135 a night! I am too excited to type!
Also, I was thinking about adding a night at the end of my trip even before I got the email, when I had my reservation at pop, so I told her, and it is in fact possible to add nights at the same discount, so I did.
I am so excited!
So dear fellow disers, if you get an upgrade pin and you are not interested in the resort mentioned, just know that those are only an example and you can ask for other resorts if available. Great news!!

P.s. To the posters that replied to my request for advice about saratoga springs, thank you for your comments, I will check it out one day, maybe I'll walk through it and see the feel I get.

Yes, I am thrilled! It's going to be my first time at YC/BC and I'm sure I'll love it! I'll keep the surprise to my DH, that thinks we're going to pop! It will be our anniversary.

I have reservations at CSR. Have never stayed there before and actually have been quite excited about a first time visit. Yesterday, I received email to upgrade to AKL for $30 more a night. When I called this morning, they told me based on my stay, the only available upgrade was to Saratoga Springs. Based on everything I've heard about how wonderful CSR is, I'm really not sure whether this is an upgrade or not. Any thought or comments from those who have maybe experienced both resorts?? Upgrade to SSR or stay at CSR??

I say stay at CSR!! Seriously I have never stayed at CSR but I have at SSR and wasnt impressed, I hear great things about CSR tho..

Yeah!!! Great news! While I havent stayed at YC yet, I just KNOW you will like it much better than SSR! Adding a day, too cool! What a great suprise!!!

Yay, I think you will love WL! It's my favorite resort so far, I didn't really have any interest in it til I stayed there in 2009 and I fell in love with it! We liked it so much that we're staying there again this October!
