Just offered an upgrade?

Ive been wanting to check out Coronado Springs!!! I think you should do it, especially the food court, been wanting to check that out! (I mean Ive been there but not stayed there)

ETA: were you staying at pop century too? I wonder if they overbooked?

I was staying at Pop, they must have overbooked! I'm now staying at CSR, I'm so excited, I've wanted to check it out for so long, and now I'll get to stay for a night and see if I like it for future vacations!

The CM I talked to had NO idea what I was talking about when I called and told him about the upgrade email!

OK - I rec'd a "special" upgrade email too....$29 more per nite to upgrade to Old Key West..I currently have a room only ressy for 10/1 and 6 day ressie pkg w/FD at POFQ.
Be aware that you will lose FD if you decide to go with this "upgrade"...Remember, Disney will only let you use ONE pin code...either the free dining or the upgrade.
So much for the for an "upgrade"....
Alas...I was sooo excited...but FD works out better for us...

well my mom said YEAH!!!!, (shes partly funding the trip due to my bday) altho I offered to pay the difference because hell yeah!! i want to go to BWI..hahahah.. So I will prob call later and see what happens. Will update later! ,
thanks guys, I knew Id get my few questions answered. I have toured the Boardwalk area and all those hotels before but to actually get to stay there (and be able to afford it hahah) is awesome!... I have to say the pool looks awesome!!!

BUmmer, could you upgrade only the first night? Yeah I would stick with free dining too....like i said before we are very happy at pop.

If you are really happy at POP, and it sounds like a nice Food Court is important to you, YOU may not like BWI. It is not for everyone. Each of us has our own likes and dislikes. The CS options are extremelly limited.

Wow that is awesome! I just read 2 other threads with people getting the same type of offer...just a few bucks more a night for a deluxe resort...jump on it, a deluxe stay is an amazing thing! Yeah we miss the options of a food court better but I would give it up in a heartbeat for a deluxe

I am on the phone now, pin is not working, imagine....but PP yeah a food court is importnat but I have always wanted to stay at a boardwalk hotel (heck a deluxe lol) so I am jumping on this, I can do without CS for this!!! my mom agrees!!! lol she said well just hop in the car and go to mcds if we get hungry at midnight HAHAHAHA

oh well no luck, after getting all excited about this they didnt have ANY rooms available, so we are staying at pop century. I may try calling tomorrow cuz I mean really why send the email , get me all pumped up if they had NO rooms available??

We really love POFQ, so no big deal.

I would rather stay POFQ than OKW...when we were checking in at the POFQ this past May we were told they oversold the king bed rooms and would upgrade us to OKW for free..we didnt want that so we opted for a queen bed POFQ instead.

I just saw my email for the upgrade today. We're booked at POFQ with a water view. My concern is what view we'll have after the upgrade. I paid for a view, it would really suck to get a roof top view.

I too have received an upgrade email today. It's for Saratoga springs fir $45 more a night. We are booked now at Pop sept 22-24 for $85 a night? Should I do it? If all the resorts, Saratoga is the least appealing to me. Any other deluxe or even OKW I would have switched in a heartbeat. But now I don't know what to do? Any advice?

I would... Stayed at SSR in Oct of 2009 and loved it!!! The pool is zero entry and really cool they have movies by the pool and I just loved the overall feel of this resort!

Don't be....I called WDW and these discounts do not include free dining so they are basically getting the same price that we are. I am paying just $212 a night for the BWI without the free dining, looks to be the same

The CM said they oversold some values and mods and are offering free dining reservations the small difference to upgrade but they lose free dining

Had a feeling they oversold. I do not have free dining however, so not sure why I got offered the upgrade.

Well, it's only one night we're staying at CSR, 9/29-9/30, then we're checking in to WL for a week. We don't have free dining at WL, we used a room discount!

Ugh, that's annoying! I bet a lot of people got these emails and called immediately. You should keep trying though, something might open up!

I would do it, I never thought I'd want to stay at SSR either, but the more I read reviews and look at pictures of it, the more I like it!
