Hello all...just back from 3 great nights in BCV and 3 WONDERful nights on the beautiful ship.....but I have a quick question....we were supposed to return last night on Delta....but considered changing our return to today. We didn't, but if we did is there any way of booking a 1 night stay in your home resort(if available) on short notice....like a Saturday or Sunday.....guest services of DVC are closed...so how would you do it...or can you? thanks for the advice.....

Sorry, I don't have a direct answer to your question but when my husband and I treated my sister and bil to a studio at HH last year, we upgraded them to a one bedroom on a Saturday and it was no problem for them to take the extra points from our account. I don't think this fully answers your question but that was our experience. I don't know who the front desk at Hilton Head contacted on a Saturday to check our point balance but they must have had access to our account info somehow.

Could you give us some details about your cruise? Did you book on points? Did the 3 night cruise seem long enough? We cancelled our 4 night cruise and I am determined to find a way to get hubby to agree to rebooking for next fall. Any other info on the short cruise you'd care to share would be great!

The front desk can book a room for you on points if a room is available. They have access to our point balance as well.

We were over at BCV and I spoke to the rep from DVC and she had no idea how it could be done.....I should have just gone to check in desk and asked.....good to know for the future....but anyway.....the 3 day cruise was great but much too short. We have done the 3 day twice, 4 day once and the 7 day twice....and we have 2 more 7 days booked.....you get treated great on any of the cruises but by the time you get comfortable it is time to get off the ship....my recommendation is a 3 or 4 if you have never done it....but a 7 day is the way to go if you like cruising....
