Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

So a place where you learn to be a monster. Would this be before or after the movie? Scaring tactics, or laughing tactics? I just imagine a room similar to the testing room in the beginning of the movie with the sleeping robot child. It could be good as an extended meet & greet like they're doing at Fantasyland.

both... scare training and they can move the monster's inc. laugh floor their. i don't know bout the meet n greet part though. but just fun interactive things.

What will go in the place of MICC? I can't think of anything atm... Too tired.

That makes sense. If they could get the characters to talk, then it could work. Or do something similar to MICC where Mike is there, but as a video. Have Sulley teaching everyone the scare tactics. Maybe add in some Turtle Talk with Crush where someone does the voice of him behind the screen, or have some autonomatronic technology.

Random idea. Replace the Playhouse Disney characters at Hollywood & Vine with the Phineas & Ferb characters :teeth:

Actually, believe it or not I HAVE heard of SS Disney :p and while it would have been interesting I don't think it would be practical. Disney advertised a ton in Asia anyways (at least back in the nineties they did), when I lived in Singapore there was a travelling show that stopped by and it was awesome.

Still, an incredible amount of creativity and ingenuity went into the concepts, that is for sure.

They could of stopped in England at docked at Dover D-:

Some random news on Shanghai Disneyland. It's going to be located in the Chuansha town of Puong New Area. It's going to cost $3.5 US Billion, and be open in the next 5 years, albeit it will cover 116 hectares in it's first phase, which is smaller then Hong Kong Disneyland at it's first phase (126 hectares) so who knows what's gonna happen?

So ive decided to go to UCF and study creative writung and art in order to become a WDI :D

I want a park in England. About 5 mins down the road from me... It shall have a unique castle, because there's tons of more interesting castles to visit here, so it needs to stand out.

I'm surprised there aren't more there. London would be a place Disney would look into I'd think.

Well, DLP is considered the Kingdom for all of Europe, which is why it's initial name was EuroDisney.

Funny, though, that because of deals, a ton prefer to go to WDW.

I don't blame them, DLP is drop-dead gorgeous, above and beyond theming... But shows? Meh. Upkeep? Horrible. Second Park? LOL not even going to talk about WDSP.

yeah. i thought the same thing about China, but now they are going to have another one there. Eventually, I'm sure Disney will have one within driving distance for everybody at the rate they are growing. haha

Yeeeaah. I don't understand it.

I think they're building another because HKDL is a slight fail. I mean it's got promise, and the Jungle Cruise is amazing, but its only a 4 land park (Adventureland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Main Street). It's being expanded 3 more mini lands, though...

I hear Shanghai will be smaller than HKDL...

I mean.. part of what draws visitors to Disney parks is that they're still "rare" and special, unique.
I would much rather Disney choose to focus on the parks that desperately need help (*cough* DCA, the MK) than expand.
