Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

Haha works for me.

Yeah I like Pixie Hollow in DL, but a ride is going a little too far with a straight to DVD series.

is this fairie stuff the disscussion of the day? if so im out for today

I think that the Fairies ride is a good idea right now. Later, maybe not so much. But now the fairies are really popular.

I am SOOOO excited about World of Color.

More specifically the Alice in wonderland and Wall*E sequences.

It looks AMAZING. I went to the Blue Sky Cellar and saw all the exhibits and videos on it... woooow.

And in the background they're projecting the stampede in water for the Lion King scenes... looks fantastic.

hahaha yeah....I have to go now...Im going to my high school's football game

So, besides WoC, what else are you all excited about the DCA makeover?

I'm a fan of Buena Vista Street, myself. Not to mention the Little Mermaid ride.

It's weird but one of the things I'm surexcitee about (as I'd say in French class xD), is the fact she'll have animatronic hair in the underwater scenes that's supposed to be amazing.

Provided the budget isn't slashed.

They wanted to put a Club 33 style membersonly club in the Carthay Circle Theater at the end of BV St.

I've been so busy lately, I haven't seen this thread!

I've always thought about different ideas for WDW, and I have thought of a few. Not just rides, but mainly shows and the over-all theme. So, I'm excited to see what else anyone has to say. So far, the ideas are great!

Welcome to the thread!

So today, I guess we're talking about Fantasyland.. But before we do that I just want to say: I find Tomorrowland right now in both the American parks to have the most theme intrusions.

Just because something "looks" like it fits, doesn't mean it does. When you slice it down to it's core.. Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin/AstroBlasters, is just about a Toy fighting another Toy. That has nothing to do with the future.

Ditto on Monsters, Inc. LF. Monsters putting on a comedy act has nothing to do with the future.

But they're enjoyable, and the public doesn't notice so they don't see a reason to step up their game.

Monsters Inc. has nothing to do with the future, I agree. And I was going to say isn't Buzz and Zurg (sp?) from the future? But then I realized that they are toys and that toys can be somebodies idea of the future or the past. So I agree, neither really has anything big to do with the future.

Yeah, exactly.

And don't even get me started on TL in DL.

They tried to make a Discoveryland in 1996, but failed miserably. So things that need to come back or added:
The Peoplemover (was replaced by the Rocket Rods which closed about 3 months after they opened)

The Astro Orbitor needs to be on top of the Peoplemover station again.

Star Tours 2.0 [being announced at D23 Expo]

Things that need to go:

Cosmic Waves

The Agrifuture idea (all plants are edible, veggies, fruit, etc)

The rocks at the entrance

Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
