June/July/August 2006 Code watch

I have a theory...not that I know anything....on how they "leak" out.

Tonight when I called, I put in my ressie # and when the CM checked to put in all my info and had it search for rates and then she told me they only went to June 3rd. I wonder if that's why a few go through since they actually search for the rates. That's what happened in the other post I read from April/May/June...she was just calling for rates and I believe from what I read the CM did a search rather than check what was listed.

I hope they come out tomorrow so the wait is over, but also so "Kinggoofy" isn't homeless ;)

This is really turning into a "$%#@&$%#" bunch of bull "$#%&". Disney is really going to lose an AP holder if these codes dont come out for our June 14-25 trip....and you know what they'll say..."have a magical day".

Yes, I have 13 hours to save $100 at WoD and get 2 trips to ESPN club...( thats the bet me & DW have.) do any of you have an extra room for me and my dog if they not out today?

Lets keep hoping. I will call at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm & 840pm today and i will post if anything has changed.

BTW...thanks to all who call and post. everyone is great. :cool1:

Well, I've been a passholder for 2 years now, and I'm FULLY aware that AP discount rates aren't guarenteed, and Disney certainly is under no obligation to release them.

That being said, it doesn't change the fact that if Universal thinks my business is so important to them that they are offering the great deals they are currently offering, and Disney doesn't care to do so, I owe it to myself and to Universal to give them a shot. I admire the heck out of them for offering the great deals they are. Can't say the same for Disney right now.

And just to add - Maybe my sacrifice (bad word, I know) will help others out in the future. I'll be cancelling 6 nights at a Disney resort, countless ADR's - On my family alone, for this one trip, Disney will lose thousands of dollars to Universal. Might mean nothing to them, but who knows?
BE sure to mention WHY! they do record calls ;)

No - But with all the great deals Universal is offering, we're going to cut our 12 night Disney vacation in half and jump ship to Universal for half the time. Apparently, they want the business more than Disney right now.

Just in case you didn't know yet : AAA South is offering Universal's Preferred Annual Pass Buy 1 Year Get the 2nd Year Free - so it's 174.95 (plus tax) for 2 years.

They've already lost 3 with me and my family.

The resort discount was the biggest perk to the AP. If that's not offered, it's not worth it. I can get much more from other parks AP's than I can from Disney's now apparently.

On the other hand, good for Disney. Apparently business is good enough for them that they can lose a customer or 2.

And another thing about Universal!!!
I made my ressie for Hard Rock last year and NBA City this year online.
It was neat :)

Nope - Didn't know that. Thanks!

All the more reason to go across town!

Eh, if they ask I will. Not gonna rub it in. They're not stupid. They'll know why.

Girl, I don't even think they'll say 'Have a Magical Day'.
Every CM I talk to lately acts like they could care less what kind of day you have and certainly aren't interested in making it magical!!!!!

:confused3

Makes me wonder about Disney's hiring process and training procedures in customer service!!!

Called to make sure my ressie was non-smoking for mid-June. Amy Lynn(?) then asked if I had passes, I replied we had annual passes, and oh, by the way, are annual pass rates out for my time period yet? She quickly replied, "no". Civil, but not exactly friendly.

They'll bring them out tomorrow when I have to work. Oh, and does anyone else have trouble understanding some of the CM's names?

I called yestreday to make a ressie at Alfredo's at Epcot (which now, I'll be cancelling), and the CM I spoke to, while not rude, certainly didn't have that Disney magic I'm so used to.

I have been flamed before by not having my AP yet and trying to get codes.(even though I fully intend to buy one IF codes come out) now I am soo glad I havent bought one. I am waiting till next Friday then I am going to the disney store to buy tickets but by the looks of it it wont be aps.

Yeah, I have really noticed a lack in Disney magic when I call these days. What's even worse is that I don't think Dis cares either!

I just wanted to add my thanks to each and every one of you that have been calling and posting back. I haven't posted much on this thread, but I've been watching it like a hawk the last few weeks. I thought 4-SURE today was going to be the day once I saw the historical release dates on Mousesavers.

Oh man!

I guess dh and I just need to sit down and re-think where we can stay now since we aren't going to be able to stay for as long or even at the resorts we were hoping to stay at for this trip. We probably still won't book anything till sometime next week however, just in case they come out 2nd week in May (like they did in 2003).

Not giving up hope just yet, but definitely need to work on a Plan B though!

Good luck all and thanks again!

Granted, I don't call every morning asking about codes, but the last 2 CM's I've spoken to have been nothing but fantastic and magical in their demeanor. Just wanted to post that they aren't all bad. I posted this earlier in the thread, but I think calling and calling and calling doesn't do anyone any good. But it's a free country so folks can do as they please. I'm just making an observation. I think the early morning CM's must think "here come the code calls" as soon as the clock strikes 7:00. HOWEVER, that gives them no excuse to be rude. They need to STOP that behavior.

If the codes don't come out tomorrow for June, I don't think they will. But I'm thinking July - the time when the dining plan starts may have a code. I don't know, I could be wrong and I hope I am. I for one have given up and we're going in may instead with the pre 6/3 code. It would be MUCH more convenient for several reasons for us to go in June, but I just don't know if the codes are going to happen. I already had a May trip planned, but I'm having to really switch things around to get to go. We were hoping for June. Oh well. Glad I didn't cancel my may trip. POR here we come.

I can't understand why Disney wants to upset the people who make more than 1 trip a year. We always come twice and were thinking about 3 times this year. To me, this is mind boggling why you would upset guaranteed guests.

I'm getting my flame suit on.....

I think that Disney really did try to make everyone happy with the Best Rate program & for reasons that I still can't figure out, many here hated it & were very vocal to Disney about their feelings......

Well, Disney got rid of the BRP and I'm sure, are becoming a bit more stingy about discounted rates because tourism is up......

So, all those who told Disney that they didn't want the BRP are getting what they asked for...... :rolleyes1

What dining plan are you speaking of? The one I know of starts August 13th. I am hoping that there is something out there that I do not know about.
