June 3, 2006 - Disney Magic Western Carribean

We are also driving down early Friday, but we are going to stay at Buena Vista Suites near Disney. We plan on doing a little shopping and having some fun at DTD. It's only about an hour drive the next morning to the port. :goodvibes

I'm hoping to meet a lot of you on the boat. There was a mention of a DIS meet on the boat on Deck 7 Aft earlier in this thread. Is this still on? If so, when?

HarryLeg -- I know what you mean about the Club. Last year on the Wonder we went to pickup DS for dinner, but he was having too much fun and didn't want to go. So we had dinner without him and later took him up for pizza. He was happy to play and we got to have some adult only time. :)

Hey DWeaver,

I still am hoping we can all meet on Aft Deck 7 around 2:30 or 3:00. It's always fun to put a face with the screen name. :lmao:

I remember that from last time. My DS was full of questions during the whole drill. "Why are we wearing these things?" "Why are they orange?" "Why are we going here?" "What are these boats for?" etc. etc. etc. I don't believe he stopped talking and asking questions through the whole drill. :)

OK. Everyone staying at the Radisson, let's have a mini-DIS meet at the pool tiki bar around 3 pm on Friday. All the kids can swim and the adults can partake in something tropical. :drinking1

What do you think??? :thumbsup2

We are doing Kennedy that day.. not sure we will be back in time. BUT.. if we are... we will be there. :)

DVC Jen - We hope to see you on the boat for the meeting if we don't meet up at the Radisson!

SimbaNoodle - We plan on shopping a little at Cocoa Beach shortly after we arrive, hopefully somewhere between 12 and 1. We probably won't be at the Radisson meeting, but you may see us around the pool later on. I sure hope they'll have our room ready for us when we check-in. We'll look for your family when we are at the pool, please do the same.

Imok - Thanks so much for the information - should save me some sleep! I hope you are right about them saving some reservations for the 75 day mark. I will also try once we get onboard if I am unable to get reservations on-line. Have a great time at the Magic Kingdom Friday night!

Looking forward to meeting all of you and your families on the Magic!

Tammy

:confused3 OK, when we were first able to schedule reservations we could not make any for Cozumel. Everyone has been saying and even on one site that the Magic will be in Cost Maya instead of Cozumel on our cruise. Now if you go to DCL you can schedule excursions for Cozumel. :confused3
What do you think?????

Because like I posted above, Disney is still saying right now that our cruise is going to Cozumel. It could change to Costa Maya later, but for now it is Coz.

I am definately hoping for Costa Maya. That would be a great surprise. :)

I don't really know anything about either place. In your opinion what is better about Costa Maya vs Cozumel? Is Costa Maya less "touristy" prettier, nicer? And for some kinda strange reason even though I have nothing to base this on I kinda hope we go to Costa Maya too.

Hey Jen,

I guess my reasons are sorta selfish, but I have been to Cozumel about 4 times now and would like to go someplace new. Although, Costa Maya seems to have much better ruins than Cozumel.

If you log into cruisecal.com and check the dates of our cruise it has the Magic in Costa Maya.

:wave2:

I don't think anyone knows where we will go for sure. I booked an excursion in Cozumel because that it what was offered. However, if it changes to Costa Maya, then we will book something there. Just gotta go with the flow....

I have some bad news. I had to cancel our cruise today. Between hurricane day school conflicts, taxes due and general finances, I thought it best before I lose my deposit.

I hope everyone has a great cruise. I look forward to talking with you as the date gets closer.

Have a good night.

I am so sorry to hear that. :(

You will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear that you and your family will not be able to go on June 3rd. However, not going on June 3rd just ensures your family of having an even better time when it is the right time. Please keep in touch!!

Hey Jen, isn't tommorrow your day for booking excursions? I hope you get everything you want! I hope everyone has a great week! I will be giving standardized tests to my class.
