We'll be cruising with the rest of you this June, can't wait :sunny: . It's been chilly here in GA. Our DD(12) plays travel softball and the last 2 games the temps have been in the low 30s.

Hey welcome to our little group! We have a DD that will have JUST turned 13 when we cruise. Is your DD going to the Stack? Ours will..but she also has an older sister (17) she can hang out with there.

I sat this evening and read the entire thread- I had not noticed before how many people are from the Atlanta Metro area- I think I counted 5 families. I'm looking forward to a Dismeet on the boat- What about the secret deck 7 aft? That way we can find everyone. As I read tonight, I put together a little excel spread sheet on on cruise. It is missing some information, but is a work in progress. I listed dis names, party, dinner time, and special occations. If you would like it- let me know, I can e-mail it to you. I thought it was helpful in figuring out who has kids are age.
Also, Ackman, PM me if you are on this cruise- I would love to find someone to meet up with who has a daughter around Ansley's age- Is your daughter going to flounders or to the clubs?

Talk to you soon,
Shawna

I thinks a deck 7 aft meet is a great idea! I would also like a copy of the spread sheet. Things are starting to warm up here in Minnesota 36 degrees today in the southern part of the state.

Welcome 3forDisney,

We have talked before about meeting on deck 7 on the first day. I can't wait to meet all of you. Have a great weekend.

DVC Jen,

Our DD will be 13 in November and will probably go to the stack to check it out. She is a bit shy to start and not having a sister or friend to initially go with, it might take little while for her to get there. We will be driving down the day before and staying at the Radisson. We might try to leave home even earlier and visit the Kennedy space center that Friday.

We're all excited about the cruise, too. This will be our second (or third if you want to count The Big Red Boat). We went on the 4-day a few years ago. We have 2 DD, one 7 & the other turning 11 at the end of June. We're another Atlanta-metro area family. We're cruising with 3ForDisney. :Pinkbounc

That is what we are doing too. :) We are driving from the Dallas area to Ohio (just north of Dayton) to visit family... then down to Cape Canaveral. We are planning on getting in on Thursday and then going to Kennedy on Friday too. I understand what you mean about your DD being shy. Our oldest DD(17) is VERY almost painfully shy.

It would be nice if they had someone to hang out with. My girls are great kids and I want to make sure they find other "great kids" to hang with. I am sure you understand what I mean. ;)

What is everyone making reservations for?

Ian (DH) and I are not sure when we want to eat at Palo's and or what spa thing we would like although I am thinking maybe the rasul ;) ;)

Do I need to register our DDs for the Stack?

I just went to Disneycruiseline.com and tried to pull up our reservation only to get this...

Hi everyone!!!! This is what I reserved:

Palo Brunch June 5th; Stingray City Snorkel June 6th; Couples massage and Palo dinner June 8th.

I wasn't able to book anything in Cozumel. They still do not know if we are going there or Costa Maya. :confused3

I booked all of this online yesterday. What about all of you?

Our oldest DD(16) is shy as well. It must be an oldest kid thing. That is not a problem she shares with her sister (13). Our girls with probably go to the stack but not until after we sail.We are flying in Friday night and staying at the Radisson.Perhapes the kids can email and start to get to know each other., if someone would like the our email please pm.

I made my reservations today. :woohoo: We are having Palo brunch on June 5, Nautilus tour at Grand Cayman, floats at Castaway Cay, and registered DS for the Club. We are going to do Key West on our own and bring our own snorkling gear for Castaway Cay. I guess we will wait till closer to the cruise to see if we are going to Cozumel or not.

I noticed a few new names, so hello  to Mickeyteacher, 3forDisney, and Dranbern.

We can't make ours for another 15 days (75 days out).

Update on my situation.. the one I asked for prayers and pixie dust about..

well it has all been resolved! :cheer2:

DH and I paid off the cruise last week and we will definately be joining all of you! pirate: :thumbsup2 I can't wait. I am sooo ready for a vacation after the stress of the past months and months.

Thanks so much. We are so happy this all got resolved too.

Glad you got everything set Jen. Have booked a few things so far. Palo brunch, Castaway Cay Parasailing. Can't decide yet on Grand Cayman and Cozumel. I want to do the Sting Ray City snorkel, but can't decide to go through Disney or book myself. Any advice??

Thanks.

We have chosen to do the submarine in GC, Nothing in Cozumel (or maybe Costa Maya) and Parasail and stingrays in CC. I don't like to schedule outside of Disney in case something were to happen and you did not go to the Port or were late....... I know a lot of people who do though.

I know what you mean Imok, I like the comfort of knowing that Disney is taking care of my family. Which sub excursion are you doing? :cool1:

We aren't sure what excursions we are going to do yet.

For those of you who have cruised before.. can you make your excursions on board or do you have to decide and reserve them ahead of time?

I hate to plan too much especially something that may involve a water activity. With teenaged daughters who are a bit old fashioned about (men cover your ears and I apologize now - sorry) that "time" swimming could be out of the question.. and I just won't know until the time comes.

We are thinking about the butterfly farm (can't remember if it was Cozumel or Grand Cayman right now) and the trolley and ship wreck museum at Key West.

When we will know for sure where we are going as far as Cozumel vs Costa Maya?

:rotfl2: I almost typed Costa Mayo. :rotfl2:

It's been a long day. ;)
