I can't believe it's only 5 months til the cruise!!! 9 months has already gone by since we booked. And we're still going. Can't join you guys in DLP, we'll be staying a few days in Barcelona, hopefully, before the cruise.

I vote for the Rodney shirt, something about it that just works...

Someone posted a website for angeltoursrome.com (sorry I can't post the url, I don't have enough posts )
on the Med board and I thought it looked like a good thing to do. Is anyone else interested in booking a tour of Rome with a private company? I like the idea that they will pick up the group from the ship instead of having to wait for all the cruise boat people going to Rome......

I thought I would inquire if anyone else is interested...

Yeah, I would have thought she would have at LEAST said "kiss my grits" before she abandoned us!!! Oh well.

As for me, I figured things would heat up in the old thread after the first of the year. Seems like its come back with a VENGEANCE! I've been busy with a new travel related venture i'm trying to start anyway.

As for Rodney, NO CRUISE date will have a shirt as cool as ours!!

Im interested but there are 6 of us! Have to get picture of all of us in front of Collaseum!
Ive been to Rome 2XS before this cruise, and most of the scheduled cruise excursions are like 10.5 hours!

I would like to do a managable 6 to 7 hour tour!

Send me pictures of him in his plaid suit and the Mrs in her cowboy hat. I will certainly keep reading and may pop in from time to time to give my unsolicited comments.

We finally got airline tickets. Flying into Paris on the 23rd (leaving US on 22nd), then leaving from Barcelona July 10.

Question is: should we go to Barcelona on June 27 (day ship sails), flying in on EasyJet, or should we go a day earlier, June 26 to be sure?

I'd love to hear what everyone else's plans are.

I didn't disappear and would LOOOOve to find someone else to do a private tour in Rome. Not lookig forward to the lengthy day ones that might end up on the excursion list. We are two adults, a 16yo boy and a preteen girl.

Hi. My family is booked on the June 6th 10 day Med cruise. A few of us live near WDW and are planning a pre cruise Get-Together and BBQ in the Orlando area. Possibly at Fort Wilderness or my small farm and maybe combined with a group day a WDW.

I thought we might open the doors and invite Med Cruisers for all the other Med dates except those Repositioning Cruiser types .... OK, I guess you guys can come too, but only if you promise to do the cooking.

I'm thinking April but no date has been set so suggestions are welcome.

PS: I was only teasing the Repositioning Cruisers.. They still have to cook though. wink wink

You remember that list I posted that a travel agent friend of mine did? He did a Med cruise last spring and put together a pretty inclusive list of private tours, whether they were good or not, etc. It may be on Cheri's website. If not, I'm sure I've got it here somewhere.

Just wanted to say Hello and thank everone for all the great information in this thread!! We will also be on this cruise (myself, DH, DD11, DS9) and are starting to get really excited!! We are booked on an Adventure by Disney "Viva Italia" land tour trip prior to our cruise - so we are gearing up for a 'long' family vacation - I am sure DH and myself will really be looking forward to the kids clubs more so than the kids!

Main thing I want is to see the Colliseum! There will be four of us, Mrs Blue and our friends from Califonia. The other thing that I'd like to do is make as much of the French Riviera as possible. A private tour might be best for that. Make it to Cannes, Monaco and as many other places as possible. (They're close aren't they?)
