Jun 3, 2011 Disney Dream

I want to be in the FE. :thumbsup2 I sent PrincessDuck a PM, hopefully this works. Please let me know if someone else is handling it.

I booked my Palo brunch!!! YEAH!!! Also, sneakily booked my self a massage. :rolleyes1 Glad DH does not read these posts. I tried to book the spa villa for my mom, but either it was sold out or not offered. :confused3 Guess I will keep checking or will ask on the ship.

Is anybody dressing up for Pirate Night? On our 4 night cruise, not many people dressed up but a lot of people did on our 7 night cruise. I just don't want to be the only one dressed up-lol

I am thinking of it, but it depends on how dressed up you mean. :rotfl2: I mean we were on one cruise and the mom had an entire pirate wench costume. It was awesome, really, but I would not have room in my luggage for it.

Last summer we saw a family that was really dressed up, and they looked great! So I'm not knocking them, but the pirate wench just isn't my style! The guy was a Capt. Jack look alike and she was quite the wench.:rolleyes1

I'm all for dressing up a bit...
Marc as well, depending on what I find for him. Last year it was a pirate skull cap and maybe an eye patch.
For me, I'm thinking the Smee look. Capri pants, looking for a blue and white stripe shirt (no belly hanging out), bandana, and flip flops...
Baylor DS12 did dress up last year but isn't interested this year so I'll see if at least he'll do a t-shirt and eye patch...

We are sending his old Capt. Jack costume to another DISer for her son to wear on their cruise!

For those who have already been able to book restaurants etc ( I can't book until March 20th). Have you noticed if Atlantis is booked full yet? That is my son's #1 request and I'm hoping we'll be able to get in.

Thanks
Christine

It was available when I was looking.

I am working on the spreadsheet as I type... I am trying to reorganize the info and make sure that everyone is on it where they should be. I did add a spot for show time since there are 3 show times on the Dream. There is also a spot for Allergies that I did not include in my initial questionaire. Is there any other info that you would like me to include on this spreadsheet? Please feel free to PM me if you have any new info or advice. I will post when I am done and if there is any other info that I am asking for on the spreadsheet. This most likely will be late tonight or tomorrow.

If there are any questions pertaining to the guidelines that I posted awhile back, please let me know.

We are getting so excited here!! The snow is melting away right now and the kids are ready to go.

Okay, here is some clarifications to the Multi cabin situations.

If you are the only disboarder and you have other cabins that are going to participate in the FE then they will be listed separately and treated as such. They will give a their own gift out and they will receive their own gift in a FE on their door.

If you have more than one cabin reserved for your immediate family....mom/dad and kids in their own. Please indicate if both cabins will be participating. If the FE is only hanging on one for all please indicate. This would indicate that you as a family are handing out a gift and that you will receive one gift.

There may be other situations...please let me know so that everyone knows what to plan for.

Poohs4me..how are you able to book so soon? I can't book until March 5th(can't wait for that)! :woohoo: I am a Castaway Cay Club member.

The more Disney cruises you go on, the higher your rank in the Castaway Cay Club you are. 5-9 (or 10 depends on how you look at it) cruises is Gold and then after your 10th cruise you become a Platinum member with early booking access up to 120 days before sailing

We are gold and our window opened up on February 18th at 10AM, so since we are in AZ, I stayed up until 10 my time and booked some things. I will be happy to look stuff up for you if you want me to.

This is the only situation that applies to us right now and we are planning to do as you have written. 1 gift by each cabin and I am the only disboarder so far.

That is great..I believe that you said so in the PM. I will add your info to the spreadsheet after dinner tonight and go back and double check everything with the thread on everyone's info.

Thanks so much to everyone for being patient while I catch the spreadsheet up.

I can't book until March 20th. The only big thing we are worried about is Atlantis but there are other ways to get there besides Disney so I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed until the 20th.
Where in AZ are you? My mom is in Payson and we are just over the border in CO.

Okay, everyone's info should be entered on the spreadsheet. Even if you are not participating in the Fish Extender your info is in the bottom section. I will work on formatting tonight. I will be putting it in order of floors on the boat. I have not went back and added up the numbers of adults and kids...will do that later.

Here is a link to the spreadsheet.

Would we like to have a meet and greet around 3 pm on the boat? Anyone heard of any good places to do this?

Is everyone comfortable with the number of people we have participating in the FE? Is it too large? Neither one of the ones that I have done have been this big....but I am okay with it right now.

Tax refund should be in this week so that I can pay the cruise off and get our 6 day tickets for Disney!!!

How is everyone doing??

North of Tucson.

We have a trip to Disney over Spring Break that I'll be getting ready for soon, then it will be full swing into cruise prep!

Has anyone looked at the other threads to see where other meets have taken place?
That may be a good place to start...:goodvibes

Hi
Placed question on main board and so far I received this suggestions!

I started a thread about this earlier this week and only got one response...the two places I have seen suggested are an open area on Deck 13 forward and the Bon Boyage bar just off the atrium. The Deck 13 forward area looks like a better spot as it has lots of seating and is in the open air, but that means weather is of course a concern...the Bon Voyage bar is in an awesome location but seems to be a bit small.

There a link to my thread from last week, incl. photos of the deck 13 area.

There's info on Bon Voyage, which includes a 360-degree viewer.

Hoping some more people and past Dream cruisers will tell us what places have been successful! My meet thread still isn't 100% decided on a location

As for a time, my first cruise two summers ago met up at around 2:30 PM, which gave everyone plenty of time to get settled and eat lunch but also left a good hour or so before we needed to get ready for the muster drill. Without the need for life jackets on the Dream, you might even be able to move your meet back to 3:00. DH and I were on board right around noon two summers ago and had tons of time to explore the ship, grab a drink by the pool, and get settled in our room before heading out to the cruise meet.

Not sure if the size of the FE group is too large. Have heard of groups this large getting cut in half - I'll wait on others comments. Two downsides are that it costs more in time/money to gift that many people/staterooms AND it will take quite a while to deliver to that many staterooms.

Just had taxes done, we OWE $3000. But for me that is a good thing. Means IRS didn't make interest off my money. BUT . . . we paid off cruise last week, so we're set. Just waiting until we can book excursions.

Guess we need to get started on the FE stuff.
