Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

UGH......it must have been the weekend for headaches/migranes! I had a headache both Saturday and Sunday. My mom had a bad one on Saturday. DH had a killer migrane on Sunday!!! Makes the weekend miserable!! On a good note.....glad you enjoyed the Lion King 3D!!! I can't wait till Emma is old enough to go to the movies so I can go see these things!!!! :lmao:

Yuck on the headache/migraine. I get them occasionally too, and they are definitely not pleasant at all.

I saw that Lion King was the top movie over this past weekend. I'm hoping to go see it this Sunday, after all the wedding stuff is done. :woohoo:

Looking forward to the next update!

We are planning on seeing Lion King next Sat. It is one of mt favorites so I can't wait. We will take our little 3 yr old GS and it will be one of his first movies...he saw the Cars 2 and Toy Story 3 in the theatre. He just wants to know if he can have popcorn!!! I want to sing along like you

I hope your headache goes away, I've been sick all weekend and still today ( I'm in a grumpy mood so hopefully I get better quick)

I'm glad you liked Lion Kind in 3-D. Those movies make seasick sometimes.

Sorry about the headache. I hope it goes away soon!
I think I'm going to Lion King 3D Friday. I can't wait! I can't believe John didn't fall asleep. That's awesome!

Subbing! Was looking for a great TR to get me through the next nine days...:thumbsup2

We absolutely loved CBR - only stayed there once (when youngest DS was under three, so we could still stay in one room), but I would go back in a heartbeat. I would love it if they would put trundles in some of the rooms (like at POR - which we also liked, but just not the same....)

Hubby and I are planning a Disney cruise for our 20th anniversary (May 2013), so please post a trip report if you do your cruise!!

I know what you mean about the migraines; I hate them. I haven't tried the lemon juice yet, but I need to.

I hope you are feeling much better today.

I'm sorry I didn't get around to an update today. To be quite honest, every time I got a second or two of quiet at work, I did absolutely nothing in the hope that it would make my headache lessen. It's a bit better but it definitely hasn't gone away. My boss has court in the morning so I pinky promise that I'll get something posted tomorrow.

On the homefront, I got the memory stick with Lacey's wedding pictures in the mail today. Guess what!?!? There's pictures of me with Lacey and Jesse.....and not just my feet! :lmao: I'll post some of those for ya'll tomorrow too.

Also on the homefront, Hunter is eligible to take a school trip to NYC next May. There are so many students who want to go that they are having a lottery drawing for trip spots on September 29th. Ya'll keep your fingers crossed and say prayers that his number is drawn. He's been looking forward to entering 8th grade and, hopefully, going on the NYC trip. The students must maintain a 3.28 GPA throughout the school year or they will not be eligible to go. If there grades drop for just one six week period, they can attempt to earn their spot back but they are guaranteed they will get back on the list.

As some of you know, Hunter does not give a flying fig about school work. Let me rephrase that. He doesn't give a flying fig about getting his homework assignments done. He actually likes school and his teachers, just not homework (or turning it in). Anyway, keep him in your thoughts. Oh, and keep me and John in your thoughts too, 'cause the 5 day/4 night trip will cost almost $1,500! :scared1: And, we have to come up with shopping money and money for his lunches (breakfasts and dinners are included).

Brookelizabeth: I'm probably going to be asking NYC questions if he is chosen.

If Hunter is chosen for the NYC trip, we will probably keep our next Disney trip as we have it booked now....May 23rd to June 2nd at the CBR and skip a cruise. We'll have to wait and see. I'm hoping that they will want to do some sort of fundraisers to help the students raise money for the trip.

I need to stop here as one of the meds that I took is making me as drowsy as heck.

Hi Lisa, I will be keeping my fingers crossed for Hunter!! NYC is great! I live about an hour and a half, two hours away. I try to get there at least once a year! I always say in my second life I will be living there! :lmao: We go around Christmas a lot because it's just so beautiful at that time....but cold! I have gone in the Spring too, a lot nicer weather! I actually know my way around NYC better then I do Philadelphia, which is right over the bridge from me, about a 5-10 min drive! I never go there....don't like it! Well, I hope Hunter gets picked!!! I'm sure he will have lots of fun!!! Hope your Headache is better today.

I hope you feel better today!

Yay for having more than just your feet in the wedding pictures. :rotfl: I can't wait to see them. And fingers crossed for Hunter that he gets picked to go to NYC. I have never been, but hope to go in the next few years.

Praying Hunter gets chosen for the trip!

I am so glad there are pictures of you with Lacey and Jesse!

If you guys cant do the cruise in May...What about doing the Disney Cruise out of Galveston...next fall?

I can't wait to read more of your trip..they give me the Disney Fix I so desperatly nee!:)

I hope Hunter gets to go to NYC...what a thrill! I am sure they will have some fundraisers to help pay or how about a yard sale...get the family and friends to donate unused stuff for it and have Hunter tag and organize evrything.

Good golly Miss Molley! I almost broke my pinky swear that I'd update today! :upsidedow The headache is still lingering and I think has made a permanent home. If I thought it was my blood pressure or something else, I'd go to the doctor but I know my history with migraines and it sometimes takes them days to go away. :headache:

I've been on a mission today. A mission to raise money for the kids who get to go to New York City. In the past, I've helped organize fundraisers for school functions and have done a pretty good job at it. I've gotten autographed items from soap stars, movie stars (even had a personal phone call from Danny Glover), singers, sports figures, etc. and they've been sold as silent auctions. Well, I'm at it again and have already gotten emails from several individuals (can ya'll say Swamp People? :yay:) and businesses willing to donate items. I've got an email out to Hunter's teacher telling her what's going on so I'm hoping this will turn out to be an awesome fundraiser.

Anyway, let me keep my pinky promise and write a Disney update....it's probably going to be short but it's an update nevertheless.

Once we had finished up the Behind the Seeds Tour, it was time to use our Soarin' Fastpasses. We wiggled our way through the people standing around and soon were in the Fastpass line:

Since we were a party of five, the castmember told us we would be split up. Hunter and Mama would be on the first row and John, Lacey and I would be on the last. We watched the little preshow that told us to put our belongings underneath our seats and yes, that meant the Mickey ears too. ;) Before we knew it, the preshow was over and we were soarin' over California. Even though I am deathly afraid of heights, I've loved this attraction every since it opened. I've learned to turn my head to the side when we get to the tops of the cliffs and once we are over them, I'm A-okay. :thumbsup2 Everybody clapped when the ride was over and we met up with Mama and Hunter. Mama was grinning from ear to ear. Soarin' is one of her favorite attractions at Walt Disney World.

Our stomachs were beginning to rumble and we figured now was as good a time as any to grab a bite to eat. Since we were already in The Land, we decided to try out Sunshine Seasons. Everybody pretty much went to different lines besides Hunter and I. He's a pretty picky eater so he was searching for something that he'd like which was, pretty much zilch there. He finally decided on the roasted chicken which came with beans. We asked if they had fries and they said there were no substitutions.

We all met back up at the register and then found a table which was hard to do at that time of the day. People were everywhere and it was difficult to walk through them. Finally, we found a small table and all squeezed in. :crowded: I guess I didn't take any pictures of our lunch but I do remember John and Mama both got soup with a piece of bread, strawberry shortcake and a drink. I got some sort of salad and a cookie. Hunter got the roasted chicken and Lacey got some sort of Asian noodle something or other. Would I go back to Sunshine Seasons again? Ummmm, I guess so but it wouldn't be my top choice.

It was pretty hot outside and we were all in the mood to do a little shopping so we headed to Mouse Gears to check out what they had. On the way:

Hum....we must have been concentrating on shopping and not picture taking 'cause that's all the pictures I have in Mouse Gears. I do remember that we bought John's friend and his girlfriend a nice picture frame (they were watering our garden while we were gone), my sister a set of salad tongs with Mickey on them (she was feeding our pets), my niece some pizza plates (I have her name for Christmas) and a spoon rest for John's mother for Christmas. Because I had spent over $50.00, I was able to take advantage of the Disney Visa offer and got 10% off. I filled in the resort package pickup slips and we were off to......to.......come on Photobucket....we were off to........

It's frozen! I'll have to defrost Photobucket and I'll be back with another update.

Ok I respond in order;

I hope your migrane goes away soon:hug: I got them as a teenager and I would lay on the floor with my head pushed into the corner, it helped with the pressure, who knows why:confused3

I will keep my fingers crossed the HUnter gets to go on the NY trip! Sammy got to go with the choir and band 2 years ago and had a awesome time! She's not a picture taker:eek: but I did manage to threaten her into making sure I had at least one shot of her in front of the Statue of Liberty and in Times Square. She thank me later!:thumbsup2

Good Luck on the funraisier, Swamp People huh, brave people for getting in that water with alligatoers and snakes!

I can't wait to hit mousegears! I have plans!:rotfl2:

Yeah for John not falling asleep in Lion King! :thumbsup2

I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that Hunter gets picked for the NYC trip. Sounds like a blast and a good motivation to keep his grades up!

Fun Soarin Update!

The headache is still lingering and I think has made a permanent home.

Migraines are the worst! Thankfully I have avoided one for a while...I hope yours goes away soon!

. Well, I'm at it again and have already gotten emails from several individuals (can ya'll say Swamp People? :yay:) and businesses willing to donate items.

My cousin has a baby with a heart defect and they had a fundraiser for medical costs. The Swamp People donated two of the coolest items!! Also, they are huge LSU fans and they had donations from the athletic department. It was a great success so hopefully you will have the same luck!!

Mama was grinning from ear to ear. Soarin' is one of her favorite attractions at Walt Disney World.

This was one of my mom's favorite rides too! I was worried how she would do but she loved it! I too am terrified of heigths so I know what you mean on that one!!

I think Mouse Gears is one of my favorite stores! I almost like it better than World of Disney! Most of my purchases come from here....and don't you just love the resort perk?! :goodvibes

First I hope your headache is gone. I get migraines alot so I know how you feel.

I hope Hunter gets picked for the trip but that is one expensive school trip. River is only in 2nd grade but seems to have alot of homework and its a fight every day to get him to do it:mad:

We went to see The Lion King on Saturday and loved seeing it at the movies I wish they would release all thier old movies back to the theaters!

I hope you don't think I'm crazy but who are the Swamp People:confused3

We love the Swamp People at our house! Especially Troy!! To bad we can't put some bids in!! Good luck with the trip and getting Hunter picked to go!

I love Soarin too. It's a ride that just makes me smile. Sorry you didn't enjoy Sunshine Seasons. We always like it there, but it is usually very crowded.
