Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

GRRRRRR! I can't wait until I can see your pictures so I can read about the tour!

I believe I need to check into this tour when Keith and I go (I am keeping a very optimistic mind!) next year. I think he would really enjoy it!

I would be with you snapping away pictures and not getting the "nerdy" facts!

I LOVE the Behind the Seeds photos!!! They just made up my mind that I am definitely doing the tour in November. How long was the tour?

Hey....wait a minute....I think I missed replying to a previous post of your's. Didn't you tell me that Madison said to tell Hunter "hi"? If so, I'll pass along the "hi" and I'm sure he'll tell me to tell her "hi" back. It's funny how those two hit it off immediately. He was all goo-goo eyed over her. :lovestruc

The tour was great and was definitely worth the money.

We have done the tour three times now and they last somewhere between an hour to an hour and a half. It all depends on how busy they are that day and how talkative the tour guide and guests are. This last tour lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Hey, I learned something from your tour! I never knew avocados grew on trees! (I mean, it makes sense, I just never thought about it that much...but I would have thought they would have came from an avocado shrub or in the ground like a potato )

Who says my trip reports aren't educational and are full of aimless chitter chatter? :lmao:

Loved all of the info about the Behind the Seeds tour. My 9 year old has talked about taking that tour, but I'm thinking he would like it more if we waited until he was older.

I think Hunter was 10 the first time we did the tour and he enjoyed it. On the previous tours, there were kids in the group and they gave them a small container of lady bugs to carry with them. Once we got to the banana trees, the let the kids release the lady bugs.

Love all the pictures, makes me sure I am taking this tour in February!

For the last couple of years, there's been a coupon in the back of the Birnbaum's Official Guide to Walt Disney World. We got a small discount by using our Disney Visa card.

Good morning! It's Thursday which means I only have a day and a half left of my work week. Yesterday was a bit of a pain in the rear end. John started yesterday throwing up and stayed on the couch until about Noon when I had to call him and tell him my car wouldn't start. We called AAA who sent someone out to look at it and maybe tow it to a local auto repair center. Turns out that my battery cable had broken in two. By the time they came out, John was feeling better so he came to my work and fixed it and the car is back in business.

Last night, while folding clothes, matching up socks (why is it that there's always at least three random socks in the load that don't have a match?) and watching Survivor, I threw out an idea to John. Why don't we go on a Disney cruise for a couple of days before we go to Walt Disney World? John's always said he wouldn't want to go on a cruise but he was actually getting pretty pumped up when I told him about Disney's private island, the beautiful water, the things to do, etc. He told me to look into it a bit more because it sounds like fun.

My Mama didn't raise no fool and I know an opportunity when I see one. :thumbsup2 So, I've already started doing more research on a cruise that leaves Port Canaveral on May 24th which is a Thursday. It's a 4 day/3 night cruise which would mean we'd be back on land on a Sunday and we'd drive to WDW that same day. The way I have our vacation booked now, we'd arrive at WDW on Wednesday, May 23rd, and we would leave on June 2nd. If we did the cruise, we'd arrive at WDW on the 27th and would leave on June 2nd. That'd only give us 5 days in the parks and I don't know if that is enough time for us. It'd definitely be a commando type WDW trip. I wish there was a cruise that left a day earlier.

Anyway, I'm going to keep looking into it. It may or may not happen but I know that I'm keeping our existing WDW vacation until we make a decision.

I guess I need to get a bit of work done before my boss comes in. For some odd reason, he feels like I should work for my paycheck. What's up with that? :confused3

You will LOVE it! I am so excited!!!!

I've already told John about your trip report and how much you enjoyed the cruise. I told him I need to pull up your pictures for him to look at. If anybody's pictures can sell the cruise to him, it's your's.

That sounds great! I actually debated doing a Disney cruise myself, but decided to just do the parks. Too bad they don't have one leaving earlier, but I'm sure you will still have a great vacation no matter what you do. Plus, if you don't get enough park time it gives you an excuse to try for a shorter second visit later in the year :rotfl:

Aww...thanks! :flower3:
Be sure to show him the aquadcuk sign...i think I too one or two of those along the way! :rotfl2: Ok, maybe 20

Oh, Lisa, I hope you can do the cruise. Mark and I are planning on doing one in 2013 for our 30th wedding anniversary. :goodvibes

Doing a land and sea package is probably my ultimate Disney dream. I hope it works out for you guys. It sounds amazing!! :)

Hi Lisa! Good Luck with the cruise searching!!! I would love to do a Disney Cruise, but I am severely frightened of being out on the water :scared1:  So a cruise isn't in my near future!!!

If they had a cruise that started a day or two earlier, I'd be all over booking. We are such fans of the parks that I don't know if we'd be happy with just 5 days at WDW.

I thought I remembered there being 22 pictures of the Aquaduck sign? :rotfl2:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we do the cruise. John's always been opposed to going on one but he's actually considering a Disney cruise.

The land and sea package is what we want to do. The site doesn't show that we can book that type package right now but I am still pricing out our options until I can book one.

First off, how's the paci situation? I hope that little Emma got over her crying spell pretty quickly.

One of the reasons that we are hesitant about booking a cruise is John's medical condition (epilepsy). Sometimes, when we are on the lake or near large bodies of water, he gets a little disoriented if there are waves coming in. He can usually shake it off it he takes a break. He's also afraid if he has a seizure, he's stuck on a ship and can't get to a hospital. I know there's a doctor on the ship, but I am not sure that will be enough to satisfy him. We'll see.

A CRUISE? WHOO HOO:woohoo: Jump on it, and run as fast as you can:thumbsup2

I can't wait to hear how this all turns out. I bet you and Jen are going burn up the wires with cruise talk!

I would have already jumped on it if the cruise would leave just a day or two earlier. I'm still playing around with our WDW dates and the cruise line dates to see what I can come up with.

Lisa, if you give me your address, I'll send you a 2012 DCL book. I just got them the other day.
And don't do the land sea combo. Book them separately. If a discount comes out for you WDW dates you usually can't use them in the land sea combo option.

Well, Emma cried for a little bit lastnight at bed time and again today at nap time. But not as long as yesterdays nap time! That was insane!!! :sad2: She did finally fall asleep yesterday but only for a half hour. She just needs to get use to it. It's just weird how she went almost a whole week without shedding a tear over losing the paci & then all of a sudden it just hit her! :confused3

Yea, I can see where John is coming from about not being able to get to a hospital. Maybe that is something you can look into. Maybe if something like that were to happen & someone needed to get to a hospital they would send a helicopter. I would definitely call the cruise line & ask about it. I bet it's a pretty common concern! Good Luck!!!
