July- Fitness Independence for Hakuna Matata!

Good Morning Team!

Woke up way early - major t-storms, so I decided to go back to bed instead of trying to walk :lmao:
We have thunderstorms forecasted for the whole day.

Lynn, hope you find a solution that works for your new shoes. These shoes that are not supposed to need to be broken in - breaking in is a must for me too.

wellesleyprincess, Congratulations on a great finish!

Amazing - you can actually read while do the Dreadmill? Not thinking I could handle that and concentrate on my arm swing and form, but I do watch DVDs.

Connie,
I hear you I lived in the country for 30 years!!!! But the city has a few of those scary two legged creatures that now concern me. QUOTE]"Dark doesn't sound too bad in a city or neighborhood, but out here in the sticks, dark is really, really DARK and there are hungry critters in the dark....coyotes, cougars, bobcats, etc."[/QUOTE]

Scott & Lynn - Great picture and yes, I am turning a bit green when I look at your Sweet' medal collection. :goodvibes

My Pretty Princess lost 8 lbs last week so I ordered her a small present this morning. A princess is supposed to get presents right?

I did take a rest day today. Im have to remember that it's during the rest cycle that we actually improve and build.

Lynn, I hope your shoe issue is resolved quickly, sore feet are no fun, especially for an endurance athlete.

Margie, we have a sunny morning here and at 8 am it's already 80 degrees. Gonna be a warm one today.

Have a good weekend y'all.

Resting Panda:hippie:

Way to go Erica..... You ROCK!!!!!

Lynn said her feet felt better this morn.

I did get in a 9.25 big loop this morn, cooling down, downloading info, having Kona coffee, frnch toast for breakfast.

Hey time to brag, today is our 28th Anniversary, we both almost forgot LOL, till my folks called this morning.

Watching the tour.

You ladies are all doing great, too much activity for me to remember it all, you all make us look good forsure.

I too have problems with rest days, it is the old addage of no pain no gain, that I grew up with.

Well for our anniversary we will work on the basement, fun huh!!!! LOL

Enjoy the day, be strong , play safe, we are a great team.

As Emil Zatopek (winner of four Olympic gold medals in running) once said, "It's at the borders of pain and suffering that the men are separated from the boys."

(insert you choice of sex if ya need to be PC, but you guys/ladies know you ROCK!!!!!)

Margie I know about the two-legged snakes. I have had the unfortunate task of dealing with one or two. They think I'm scary! :lmao:

Jennifer Great Job on the race!!! :cheer2: Races count double!!!

Lynn I hope those shoes workout for you.

Bunnyfoo Thanks! I enjoy adventures! I guess that proves perception is everything!

Here's a quote I found interesting.

"You can't do anything about the length of your life, but you do something about the depth and breadth!" -- Shira Tehrani

If you compare life to marathon...you can't change the length of the race. But it is up to each of us to make the most of it. We can have an adventure and good time and encourage others or we can grumble all the way through. I LOVE WiSH because there are no grumblers!

Good Morning Team!

Just a quick drive-by, need to get to the basement! I did a 3 mile walk this morning - it was quite cool this morning - it felt good. Shoes were much better today, and for the first time in a week, I actually walked at a good pace, and did not have that dreadful stitch in my side!

Have a great day!

Once again I feel like I'm getting behind....

I have had a busy couple of days. My best friend had her baby last night. They named him Phoenix Rowland. He's recently been transported to a different hospital because he is having breathing problems. I'm so sad right now and I feel so bad for my friend. Please everybody pray for her and baby Phoenix. I feel like this is a family member...she and I have been best friends since we were 6 years old. Just so very sad.

I'll post again as soon as I can...

 VR Lots of PD to you and your friend and Phoenix. I will be praying.

Happy Anniversary Lynn and Scott!!!!

Great job, Erica!

Eva, our thoughts and Prayers, Kids are so inocent, seems not fair.

Eva, we are praying! I do understand. Our little Hagen was 5 weeks early and had to stay in the hospital a while.

Happy Anniversary, Lynn & Scott!!!! :upsidedow

CONGRATULATIONS, Erica! You did good, princess:

:cheer2: :cheer2: I now have my airline ticket to WDW January 2009 :cheer2: :cheer2:
DD is cooking is making my 63rd birthday dinner a couple of days early tonight. I asked for chicken stir fry ... she is a wonderful cook :goodvibes

Went to the Side Walk Sales at Gazelle Sports - they had nothing I needed or really wanted. I ended up buying Body Glide and Elite Wright Socks.

Morning Kids,

We got most of the second coat of mud done yesterday only about 200 sq feet to sand and texture,

Lazy morn, wathing the tour, might do a bike ride later after we get teh basement done.

Watched the baby Robins learn to fly, not quite there yet, had to rescue one from the basement window well, so now we check them every hour or so.

Spent some time in our pasture and sprayed the thistle, nasty stuff. Lots o wild flowers adn some KEWL catus.

Happy B-day margie, a couple days early.

Good Morning!

Well I did so much walking yesterday, I will not be doing any today. Miranda, Hope and I went to NYC for the day. That means we get up at 5, on the bus by 6:30 and off to NY. We did so many things, went to the NHL store for Hope. Garment dist, the Flower Dist. Saw Madison Square Garden and the huge post office across the street from it. Tried to get into the Empire State Building but it was over an hour wait to get in. Went to Macy's - that one is huge, even ate in their Pub restaurant in the cellar and watched some of the Yankee's/Toronto game.

The up 5th Ave for more shopping, Times Square - saw the Naked Cowboy  (he had his tight-ee whites on. Went to the American Girl store and bought a b-day present for Mark's goddaughter. Of course the Disney store, Gap. I will figure out my miles and post them but we didn't roll back into town until 12:15 this morning. I'm a bit tired today.

Hopefully some pictures will be below for your viewing pleasure. I brought my wish hat to mark the day.

Here I am - There are Statue's of Liberty all over the city for the All Star Game on Tuesday. Saw a few but not a red sox one.

WDW4us - What cute photos, especially the ones of you! You look like you are having a fabulous time!

Scott - Take care of those babies! Regardless of the economy and the price of gas, their mommy won't let them back in the nest! :rotfl:

Have to take a 7 hour class today. They are always soooooooooooo boring. I could be done with the whole thing in the matter of an hour if they would just let me read the material and then test.....but no-ooooo, we have to sit and be bored the whole time!

Eva I hope things are going better!

I hope everyone is has a great Sunday!

Good morning,

Well it's back to work this week-end after 2 weeks of vacation. I was hoping to win the lottery friday evening (15 millions) but I guess my lottery is to have a very good job. I must say that for a Saturday evening it was pretty quiet at work but I'm sure it will be different tonight. Why do people always come back from their vacation in the USA at the same time???

I'm also watching the Tour de France. And the speed those guys are going downhill; I would be so scare. The fastest I went downhill was about 30 m/h and it was straight ...

Hugs to everyone who needs and have a nice day
Diane

Denise thank you for sharing the pics. You are indeed a pretty princess. The Panda was great, thank you.

Yesterday and today are rest days for me. I've been feeling a little puny the last couple of days so a couple of rest days are in order.

Have a great weekend y'all.:grouphug:

Walking Panda:hippie:

Denise, sounds like a fun long trip to NYC, been a few years since I have been there.

David, rest for that tummy sounds like a plan.

Got 2nd coat of mud done, afternoon off, yahooo, now what to do.

Checked the robins able to locate one, I feel very good they a big enough to fly, one is still hanging out in one of our apple trees.

maybe a fun trip to loews for some sand paper, Ohhh the excitement. LOL

Hi everyone! It's a nice quiet Sunday here. I went out for a run this morning and there were lots of people out and about - riding their bikes, walking their dogs and running! It's a good day to be out even if it is a little humid! It's always fun to see someone going in the opposite direction and then pass them again later again :)

Eva - Prayers and PD for little Phoenix! Hope he has a speedy recovery

Jennifer - Congrats on your race! That's an amazing time :cheer2:

Scott - Do you have pictures of the baby robins? I've been watching a family of ducklings on my weekday walks. They've set themselves up in a pool/pond in one of the office buildings. Someone has even left some seeds out for them :)

Margie - Happy early birthday! And yay for the plane ticket! I'm still waiting to book them for DF and myself. I just need a "few" more points on my credit cards and I'll be able to fly on points. Otherwise, I'd need one heck of a sale

Denise - Great pics, thanks for sharing! I haven't been to NYC in a couple of years. I missed TDS the last time I was there.

Connie - Hope your class went by quickly! 7 hours is much too long for a class or just to be indoors in general.

Erica - Congrats on your weight loss!! What's your secret :)

Take care everyone! Keep up the great work!!!

Well...I haven't heard any news from Jenny today, but the last thing I did hear was that he was doing a little bit better and if he kept improving that he might be able to go home on Monday. I sent a text to her a little while ago and haven't heard anything. They have him in a neonatal icu and unfortunatly I cannot go there and she can not have her phone on while she's there.
Thank you all for the prayers and pixie dust. I'm sure it is helping!!

As busy as I've been I've gotten all of my training in. Not much else going on.

Ooooh...other than me getting lost in downtown Akron at 2am this morning trying to pick up my drunken boyfriend from a bachelor party. It was preplanned for me to go get him at 3am...so I got to bed super early since I had to work today. I was going to wake up at 2 to go get him at 3 be home by 4 (Akron's an hour away from me)...then walk the dogs and get ready for work to be here by 7:30 (it's an hour drive to work). Well..I guess the "party bus" got back early. I was half asleep and not able to read the directions while I was driving in the dark and made about 5 wrong turns. Luckily I figured out where I was going and finaly got him. Ugh. I did make it back to sleep for an hour or so when we got home...but no walk for me or the dogs today. I'm going to be way to tired to go when I get home. It sounds like the boys had a nice time though....Dave and Busters (arcade), Christie's (gentalman's club), and West 6th (Cleveland's club district). He's just lucky I love him so much....that's all I have to say!! :lmao:

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm in better spirits today after the (sort of) good news about Phoenix. Thanks again...we have the best team a girl could ask for!!! :grouphug:

Lynn is out stalking the robins with the camera right now, pretty funny film at 11:00

Looks like all three are still here.

Eva, sounds like good news.

Used to love working mids on the full moon, lots o action.
