I made sure I was up and ready to book everything using two computers. I looked nuts. But, I got everything I wanted. So, I was very happy.

Holy Cow! I just looked at the count down clock in Lisa's signature! 71 days??? I better get my hiney in gear and get finished up. My kids only have 25 1/2 days left of school! It is all going so fast now.

We didn't get everything we wanted, but we just chose something else. My girls didn't get on the teen thing at Castaway, but they are parasailing and doing the banana boat, so they will be plenty busy. We wanted to do the dolphins in Cozumel, didn't get it, then chose our alternate which was the dune buggy trip but didn't get it. Instead we are doing the Jeep trip. I figured I have planned so much and so long for this trip, that I am NOT going to stress over a shore excursion. We will be happy doing anything. If we had gotten nothing in Cozumel, I would have been happy with that too. We would have headed out to the park and found something to do there. Just my .02.

Hey Patti - if you wantthe dolphins, you can probably still book direct and get the swim actually on Cozumel (the Disney one goes to Cancun). They are supposed to reopen right beore we get there.

We are doing DisneyWorld the week before. June 25-July 1st. Should be nice and hot. We are staying at the Swan hotel. Hopefully it is nice. I am so excited. This week is spring break, so I have lots of time to get ready. I need to finish the door signs and cut out the Mickey stickers.
My mom is also joining us on the cruise. She goes with my family on all of our vacations. She really enjoys the Disney Cruise.

We are there the week before too! June usually isn't as hot as say September.

I think you'll like te Swan. Not themed, but nice, and with some good restaurants. Can't beat the location!

We are at SSR 6/25-28 and then BCV 6/28-7/1. Hey, if you haven't seen a DVC room and would like to, just let us know!

I thought about booking the dolphin excursion. But, my husband did not want to do that excursion. So instead we are doing the beach break. Has anyone done that excursion? What is it like?
Since we are staying at the Swan hotel does anyone know if we can see the fireworks from that hotel. Our room faces the water.

We've stayed at the Dolphin. The beds at the S&D are the high end "heavenly beds". Very nice. There's a restaurant in the Swan called Palio that my dh said is the VERY BEST tiramisu he's ever had. Everything gets compared to that one.

We're a group of 14 and when the non-cc family went for the dolphins they were shut out. We went to the site itself and they gave us 10% off the adult/kids prices of $75/$70. I was hoping to stay with DCL for excursions because we have kids/seniors with us, but this way we stay together and we'll free up 5 excursions for somebody else.

Hey MrShiny! We'll be at BCV for those dates as well! We were staying at BWV, but were waitlisted for BCV, and got the room last week. So psyched about that! We have never stayed there before. We are flying down on Wednesday the 28th, and will be there for the 3 days before the cruise. Family's gotta check out Expedition Everest, and I need to go on Soarin again!!

Mickeyteachers you will enjoy the Swan I am sure. We stayed there for 2 nights a couple of years ago at New Years. The convenience to Epcot is great, and it is a lovely hotel. The best part is definitely those Heavenly Beds!! DH still talks about them 1 1/2 years later!!

And I must say, I am truly impressed by how far along you all are in packing/clothes shopping. I have started "thinking" about it, but not much farther than that. DH and I had the "tuxedo" discussion last week, and I don't think he's gonna go for it. Oh well........maybe next time.

But yeahhh, it's coming up fast now. I feel like I have been planning this so long, I bet I go into major withdrawal when it's over! What will I have to look forward to???

LOL! That's exactly what my dh says about me! I'll need to find a hobby once we get back. Of course, it will be that much closer to football season when we get back. That is my hobby from Aug-Jan.

You will love it! We stayed there for the first time last year. Stormaway Bay is great. If you haven't already, try Beaches & Cream for the burgers and the Kitchen Sink (if you can handle it!).

The villas are pretty convenient. After you check in, whenever you return to the resort, go across the yard to the left of the main entrance and you'll go right into the entrance of the Villas.

Is everybody alternately hoarding money and spending it on cruise items (clothes, costumes, etc.) like me?

I'm a stay at home mom who does secret shops and cosmetic testing to get a little spare cash.

I just finished a glycolic peel and got paid $50 to do it. I can't believe people pay thousands of dollars for chemical peels. Did anybody see Sex and the City when Samantha got the peel done? That's what I look like. I figure I just paid for one excursion or maybe 7 non-alcoholic pina coladas.

I figure I'd give everybody a laugh. I'm NOT attaching a picture.

This is my first post - hope this comes out right!!!
We'll be on the July 1 cruise. This will be the 4th cruise for the 4 of us - we've done Eastern, Western, 3 day/x2. Two teens, 16 1/2 & 15 right after we get off the cruise!

It's our 4th Disney Cruise also and I can NOT wait. Our last attempt at the western did not go well thanks to hurricanes! We had a GREAT week but just did not get to our ports! All to happy to try it again!!


Mattmommy- I do secret shopping also when I'm not doing my regular job! Used to get alot now it seems all I get is fast food (mcdonalds) and I do NOT want to do those! Don't like the cellular ones either!! All the $ I make from those goes right into my "cruise account"! I need MORE though soon!!!

Hi DVC98! Wow, it looks like our group are the only newbies! That's ok, we'll have plenty of people to ask questions!

Colleen - I always hoard money! It makes my dh crazy. But, I did pay cash for the cruise, made my "donation" for my season tickets, and paid for my season tickets. I have a drink fund in my living room. I have these big plastic bottles with handles (kind of like a daiquiri mix bottle, but plastic) that I keep all of my change in. However, lately I haven't spent much cash. I haven't had any TIME to go anywhere. I'll try and make up for that this weekend! I have about $300 in my drink fund. The bank is going to hate it when I walk in with that! I already have my tips set aside, so that is taken care of.

I haven't even had any time to shop lately. We have had concerts, both band and chorus, and Sara has a Jazz Ensemble Saturday morning. She has a big solo and is nervous. She has a concert next week, and next Saturday has try outs for high school band. I am not looking forward to lugging that bari sax around for the next 2 weekends! They need to put wheels on the case.

I hate those McDonald's shops when you're dieting. They never let you get the salad (which is quite tasty I must admit).

I try for the big ticket steak house and things.


I'm sitting here looking worst than yesterday with this peel. Please somebody tell me it'll fade before Saturday when I have to attend a communion. If not I'll look like the cryptkeeper with makeup. I think I'll stick with backpatches from now on.

Did everybody get their green paint chips from Home Depot for their doors?
