Wow---I am just starting to think about clothes shopping. Did mine early one year and my daughter managed to literally grow out of everything. I had to do some panic shopping.

Cruise meet I think should be at the level above sailaway party on the starboard side (or whatever side is against port). My 5 cents. I won't be there early enough for getting a table/spot. My dh doesn't ever see the need to rush anywhere.

It seems like a lifetime away and yet so close.

No pirate gear here. My son does have some, may pack his. I made him a little Cpt Feathersword vest when he was into the wiggles. My first attempt at sewing and it didn't turn out too bad.

My dh owns a tux and this may be the first year he doesn't bring it. It doesn't fit. We'll see.

Deb

NO tuxes or pirate gear for us either! DH wears a nice shirt and tie and looks great for formal night! No need to be a in a tux for a couple for hours!
And we just wear tropical stuff on pirate night anyway! Getting SO excited! :cool1:

Patti- OH MY! Alexa will be SO jealous when she hears about the braces! Alexa is HOPING to have her's off by the cruise but I have a feeling it'll be just AFTER the cruise! How awful will that be?!?

I think our spring game is the next Sat?! It's going to be such a wild year for us w/ a new football AND new b-ball coach! But the b-ball coach has been all over the news so sort of took the spotlight off of Prince! We are all wearing KSU shirts on the 1st day of the cruise so you'll spot us easily!! paw: paw: paw:

Heading to JC tomorrow to celebrate Alexa's belated b-day w/ family and for Easter!

I'm hoping to get the DS and DH measured for tuxes this weekend. We usually do the www.cruiselineformal.com rentals.

Jen and I will probably wait until the after prom sales to pick up formal dresses. Or at least Jen will . . . I may just go with one of my old sequined cocktail dresses.

Lisa, I'll have Jen e-mail Alexa sometime this weekend! Is she signed up for any teen excursions?

Deb- That would be great for Jen to email Alexa! We are going to my parents but will be back on Sunday evening :car: ! :thumbsup2

I hope everyone has a nice Easter! :wave2:

Good morning everyone! :Pinkbounc I was up most of the night last night working on excursions. My dad called Disney last night, and they told him we could book anytime after midnight. I told him I thought that was wrong, but decided I would try anyway. Nope. So, after going to bed at 11:30, I got back up just before 2:00. DH got paged at about the same time, so I had company. I got right in at 2:00. We got some of what we wanted, and I'll keep watching to see if any of the other stuff we wanted comes open. If not, no big deal. We will find something to do. I was really disappointed that the girls didn't get the Wild Side Teen excursion at Castaway. :sad2: They did get the Banana Boat, and Parasailing. So, now I can somewhat get on with my life! :lmao: This cruise has taken up way more time than I have to give. :confused3 I got back to bed at 3:00, only to get back up at 5:00 and come to work.

I am a little closer to being done shopping! I finished all of the shorts for Sara and I yesterday. Now I need to work on shirts and DH's stuff. After that, I can turn my attention back to more important things...football! :cool1:

Lisa - our Spring game was Saturday, and I really liked what I saw. :woohoo: It was funny, one whole end of the stadium was closed off because of construction, and we still sold out the rest of the stadium, and they continuted to sell standing room only seats.....57,415....at practice!!! We beat even Texas who only sold 41,000 in their whole stadium.

Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Patti- WOW! Can't believe your turn out! Looks to be an exciting season for everyone........I hope!! paw:
What time are the girls going parasailing?? Jim and Alexa and 2 sisters are going at 10:30am! :teeth:
We were in JC over the weekend.............people, people, people everywhere! Soldiers I should say! You can not believe the housing that is going up! It's nuts!! :rolleyes2

The girls and my dad are going parasailing at 11:30, I think. Ha! I've been up for so long that I have no idea what I did hours ago. :lmao: Yep, I just checked, and it's 11:30.

The attendance this year was nothing. We had 63,416 last year. We know how to celebrate a.....practice! :cheer2:

Sounds like your girls will be on the boat after Alexa!!

Still not sure what we are doing at Cozumel!?

I'm going to post the "list" of disers this weekend! That's the plan anyway!

We've got 5 rooms altogether with my family. 2 rooms are cc (us). The other 3 can't get dolphin encounter. Does it really go that fast? Any idea if how they get waitlisted?

Thanks.

This is our third Disney cruise. I am so excited. Can hardly wait. I have a 7 year old son who is really excited. Then I have a 17 year old son. And he is excited. This is his graduation present. I have started packing and my husband thinks I have gone crazy. I just hate to forget anything.

My ds5 is very excited to go on this cruise. He's joining his cousins Ariana (6)from Kissimmee, Brennan (9) and Madeline (6) from Texas. :grouphug:

Our guest room has piles of clothes, pirate stuff, tuxedo stuff, door decoration things, the makings of sandpail gifts for the kids. Trying not to overpack since we're doing WDW the week after (110 degrees in the shade--what the heck was I thinking?).

:rotfl2:

We are doing DisneyWorld the week before. June 25-July 1st. Should be nice and hot. We are staying at the Swan hotel. Hopefully it is nice. I am so excited. This week is spring break, so I have lots of time to get ready. I need to finish the door signs and cut out the Mickey stickers.
My mom is also joining us on the cruise. She goes with my family on all of our vacations. She really enjoys the Disney Cruise.

We are doing Universal a few days before the cruise. If I started packing now, I think I would go crazy trying to figure out what I did and didn't pack. My ritual---I make a list--a very detailed list of everything I need to pack. Then I check it off the morning of to make sure I got everything. I sometimes even take it with me and check it back off when I'm leaving.

I also split up the clothes amongst the suitcases. That way if any one of the cases is lost, we all still have something to wear. Remember to bring a sweater. I know, it is the start of summer. But, the AC in the boat can be freezing at times. I ended up buying one at Treasure Ketch the first night because I was sooooo cold.

I will be gone for 10 days and usually pack enough for 4 or 5. I hit the laundry the first or second day on the boat.

Holy Cow! If I started packing now, my husband would have me committed! However, I have all of the cruise clothes that I bought (we all needed new things) hanging either in my front closet, or at my moms house. I have the cooler packed with other stuff that I have bought. Hats, sunscreen, and I can't remember what else. I'm with Deb, I would forget what was packed, and drive myself crazy. I plan to pack about 2 weeks out, and make lists.

We aren't doing anything before or after. My dh is lucky to get this much time off. He is on call 24/7, so 8 days will be heaven!

Patti

I have been packing all the extra items. I also have the jackets, raincoats and swimming suits. Clothing will be in June.

Hi Mickeyteachers! :wave2:
I'm going to try and make a list and post it here of everyone names and where you are from and ages of kids if you would like to email me at LDB1030@sbcglobal.net

We are getting a day room at the Hyatt on the last day since our flight does not leave until 5pm! :sad2:

We are leaving here on June 29th and going to MGM on the 30th!
Just a little PRE-disney before the cruise!

We didn't get everything we wanted, but we just chose something else. My girls didn't get on the teen thing at Castaway, but they are parasailing and doing the banana boat, so they will be plenty busy. We wanted to do the dolphins in Cozumel, didn't get it, then chose our alternate which was the dune buggy trip but didn't get it. Instead we are doing the Jeep trip. I figured I have planned so much and so long for this trip, that I am NOT going to stress over a shore excursion. :teeth: We will be happy doing anything. If we had gotten nothing in Cozumel, I would have been happy with that too. We would have headed out to the park and found something to do there. Just my .02.
