I'm officially freaking out! I did not sleep last night thinking of all I still had to do/pack! If you all don't hear from me today, send out a search party will ya!? :scared:
I'm going for my walk now to TRY and clear my head! :sad2:

Sheila, I think we are going to want to be leaving WDW around 9 to 9:30. We had originally wanted to be at the Port by 11, and had planned to leave at 10. Now with traffic concerns, and DH also has to drop off the rental car here too, we are probably going to try to be on our way earlier. So, is 8 -8:30 too early to meet for you guys?? If it is, I certainly understand. I have a teen who loves to sleep, and I am pretty sure we will be out late at MK the night before: they have EMH to like 3 a.m.! :faint: (No WAY I am gonna make it that long.........) So it will be interesting for us that morning for sure! But we would love to try to meet if it works for everyone! As for where, gee, I have no idea! Light that morning sounds like a good idea, as we know we'll be getting lots of food once we board!! :thumbsup2 Let me know your thoughts.

Nancy - 8-8:30 is fine with us....then we'll plan to leave right after that too. We'll also have to return our car to Budget's location and get a taxi or shuttle to the port. How about Boardwalk Bakery - plan to be there by 8:15? Anyone else that's in the area is welcome to meet also.

I've been googling to see if I could find anything regarding traffic issues on past launches but the only thing I found was:

ROAD CLOSURES

Space Commerce Way which connects State Road 3 with State Road 405 (NASA Causeway) will be closed on launch day, July 26 beginning at 4 a.m. It will reopen two hours after launch. The closure is necessary due to the expected high volume of traffic on these highways.

I don't think that information really applies to us. DH suggeted asking a DCL bus driver, if we ran into one before leaving BCV that morning.

Hey guys, I'm Eric's (yamahaboy) sister. I read that there were a couple other kids my age (13) going. Usually I just stick with my brother, but this time I really want to meet some people. I'm wondering if majority of the kids my age will be hanging out in The Stack, or that new Ocean Quest. The Stack seems more like for high schoolers and such... :confused3 Thanks.

Kelly.
Hi Kelly! I have a 13 year old daughter - Jessica. I think she plans to hand out at the Stack most of the time, but until we actually get there and she gets the feel for what is going on in both places, I won't know for sure. She would LOVE to meet you!

Big breath Lisa! Breathe with me.... :lmao: I just got back from my walk, and it helped! It is a beautiful morning here! We had storms roll through last night (as those of you watching the CWS knew), and it cleared out the horrible humidity we had yesterday to make for a nice cool night, and a beautiful morning.

I have not packed one thing outside throwing some stuff in my carry on bag! That is on the agenda again today.

I just got our passports out of the safe, and put those where they need to be. :) One thing at a time. I dread the packing. My entire family room has stuff laid out everywhere. I guess I'll eat some breakfast, start yet another load of laundry, then tackle the family room! I'm running out of time to procrastinate any longer! :hourglass

sme thing here, LongIslandMouse
my son (13) just got 2 teeth pulled after being in braces almost 2 yrs. It's those darned 12 yr. old molars, i guess he was just hoping they would fall out on their own. Ortho hasn't given an estimate of how much longer, but I'm guessing at least another year. My son said at the 2 year limit, he would be using the pliers to take them off himself!! After all that cash, I don't think so!!! gotta go to water aerobics-I'm late! Michelle

(but I just can't stay off these boards!)

Hi todayray, Kelly and Patti's daughter Jessica! My son is also 13 and it will be great if you guys would get together! Especially becasue Katie DOES NOT want him following her around ;)

Well I just bought a tux for Ryan (13) on ebay for 24.99! My dh has a tux and will bring it as well. The little ones will be in flounders/club (ahhh hopefully) on that night so I don't have to worry about little monkey suits for 2 and 3 yr. olds! I impressed upon dh that I didn't want to be "underdressed" on formal night. Now watch, everyone else will be just wearing shirt and ties :sad2:

Sorry about your friends husband too, Lisa. How sad, on Father's day too.

We no longer have a dining room table since I put all the suitcases there! I am slowly getting things put in them. Hmmmm, maybe by Friday I will actually finish!

Ha! I still have NOTHING in a suitcase! :sad2: Whatever isn't there by Thursday at dinner time, will just get thrown in there somewhere to be sorted out later! I really need to start! :rolleyes1

Usually we go away during the cooler months so it's easier to pack, but now it's hot/warm and we're wearing things we want to pack.

We just got back from eating NY pizza with Mom and Dad (we take home leftovers because NJ pizza is :sad2: ). Just bought Bonine for DH.

What is Bonine? Is this like sea sick medicine? I have never heard of this.

Lisa :tigger:

It's an OTC form of meclazine I believe. It doesn't make DH drowsy like dramamine does.

Hi everyone!

Unfortunatly I'm not going on the cruise like the rest of you are. Maybe some day!
I'm here to say hi to Just Karen

Have lots of fun on your hard earned :surfweb:, well deserved :woohoo: , really expensive :faint:, vacation!!!!!

Barb :worship:

So what's the first thing you plan on doing once you get on the ship? I know we'll be heading up to Topsiders. Can't wait to have that mac 'n' cheese. :teeth: It takes very little to please me. :rotfl2:
:tigger: :mickeyjum

I got partly packed today!! :woohoo: The girls didn't even fill their suitcases, but I still have to add things like the hotrollers (for formal night) and shoes. Rich used most of our suitcase, so we spilled into 2. We are going to be fine, even with the garment bag. That leaves us with a spare to bring our cooler back full of stuff. :) The only way I could get a good weight on the suitcase was to weigh me, then hold the suitcase! :scared1: Even then I had to do that on the back porch to get a good reading. Carpet just doesn't do it. :confused3 However, I'm thinking about weighing myself on carpet all the time! :lmao:

I need to get to bed. Tomorrow is the last day of work! All 3 hours of it! :cool1:

Hi Sheila! So glad that's a good time for you too! :woohoo: I think the Boardwalk Bakery is a perfect way to start the day! 8:15 sounds great! Hope anyone else in the area stops by too!! I also thought your DH had a great idea. Can't hurt to get another opinion.

Mattmommy I also am VERY familiar with Bonine. ::yes:: However, even that stuff can knock me out if I take a full dose. It's gotta be half dose for me, or I'm done. I have the funniest story about me, Melissa, and bonine from our first cruise. Too long for here, but remind me when we meet, and I'll share our experience. :rotfl: This time, I have bonine, but may also try ginger capsules, as I hear they do a better job, and NO side effects. We'll see.........

Extrememly productive day here! :thumbsup2 Got lots packed, sorted through the five bags of "little" stuff from Walmart and found homes for all that, got my carry on ready, filled out the rest of the paperwork and signed our passports.........and bunches more! Also got DH and Melissa to lay their things out too, so we are lookin' good here! I have a meeting for my business tomorrow night, and won't get much done then, so after tonight, my last night is Tuesday. It is sooooooo close now, I almost can't believe it! We have been planning forever!! And now, this time next week, we'll be ON THAT SHIP! party: :sail:

OMG, I think I need to take a moment here.

We usually head to Parrot Cay! Seems alot less crowded than Topsiders!
I did get alot done today! Survived Wal-Mart on a Sunday even!! :lmao:
Got DH pretty much packed! His suitcase felt like 50lbs but it was only 25lbs! Have not even attempted to weigh mine yet! Looks like Alexa is the only one taking 2 suitcases but she said she can take some of my shoes! How nice of her to offer! After all I DID pay for this cruise!! :rotfl2:
So DH will have one, I will have one, Alexa 2 and we have one full of "stuff"! Now it's not Thursday yet, so alot could change!!!

Patti- I have to work Monday and Tuesday so I'm jealous of you!!! At least I was smart enough to take Wednesday off! LOTS of stuff to do that day then Thursday, is the BIG day!!! :hourglass

Nancy, I'm like you with the Bonine-a half dose is plenty for me-i hate the drowziness--I got the ginger pills too and i got something called Sea Eaze-saw it mentioned on one of the boards-herbal liquid that you dot behind your ears and you can use it once you're sick, which would be nice, we'll see--i usually only have seasickness that first night (especially around dinner time)

Loved your question BVC2000--I'm looking forward to lunch at Topsiders and some of the cold fruity soup and we love watching all the buses coming in and the excitement building-this will be my parents first cruise so I'm sure my son will be dragging them around to see everything and my mom also needs to change her Palo reserv. Hopefully that will be easy. ????

Lisa-Congratulations on surviving wal-mart on a Sunday-It's nice to have you still with us!

Well, I'm off to read Mr. Shiny's Blog--we had serious rain here all weekend, hopefully the weather in WDW was better! (Silly me, of course it was better, Mickey's in charge!)

Here is a list of my dreams from last night-what does it all mean--they were all hygiene related??
--I broke my index fingernail way, way down. I even had to double check it this morning that I really was dreaming.

My hair in the back must have been really FRIZZY-everyone kept recommending anti friz hair products and I was sitting at dinner in a restaraunt and I kept touching it and saying it was a little bad, but really fine and eveyone kept saying that they have really good ani-frizz shampoos...

and the last was the worst, I went to pluck my eye brows and as I moved my hair off my forehead, it was all hairy under there-all the way up to my hair line, this soft, dark hair like stuff!! I was showing people and they would just look sympathetic and shake their heads!! Wow, these were scary!! :confused3

going to stay away from all mirrors today! Michelle

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: LOL Michelle, I know what your problem is: you need a VACATION!!! Fortunately, you have one planned..........

Lots of rain here too!! Unbelievable. We usually only get it like this when we get the leftovers from a tropical storm. But at least those come and then leave!! If you have been watching the news about all the rain in MD, especially the Baltimore area, well that's us!! :sad2: Fortunately, my house is not near anything that can flood.
