LOL Michelle, I know what your problem is: you need a VACATION!!! Fortunately, you have one planned..........

Lots of rain here too!! Unbelievable. We usually only get it like this when we get the leftovers from a tropical storm. But at least those come and then leave!! If you have been watching the news about all the rain in MD, especially the Baltimore area, well that's us!! Fortunately, my house is not near anything that can flood.

Nancy - we're having the same problem - inches and inches of rain - it'll be so nice to see the sun.

Hi everyone!!! Checking back in again, from good ol' IOWA!!

Spent all weekend doing laundry, shopping and PACKING!!!! Getting very, very nervous and excited!!

Lisa, I did WalMart on Sunday too!!! Dropped the kids off at Sunday School at church, then I skipped out and headed to shop!!! (Felt a little guilty, but justified it by finishing my bra shopping!) Also got the over the door shoe holders, and a dry erase message board for our door . . . we don't do the decoration thing, but we do like to know where our family members are!

Finally convinced DH to get another pair of swim trunks!! He swears that I pick out ugly ones, so he ordered himself a pair online, and paid for 2-day delivery!!

I had a near panic moment last night, when I thought I need to have my formal night gown altered. I had bought a simple plum colored gown a few years back, and had not worn it yet . . . actually, kinda forgot about it. I pulled it out of my closet last night, and was trying it on . . . at 11 pm!!! Actually, with heels, it works!! One less thing to worry about!!

Got the last things to the cleaners today too. They assure me that they will be back by 4 pm on Wednesday!!

I am so envious of you all that are off work already. I have to work until Thursday, then our flight leaves at 7 am Friday morning!!! ARRRGGGHH!!


So, is the final word that the shuttle launch is scheduled for 3 pm, on 7/1? Is that the same time as the Muster Drill? I so want to see this!!!

Hi all! Good Monday Morning to you!!
Have not slept the last 2 nights! So excited it's finally here!!!

Just off the phone with FL TOURS, he says he does not see any problem with us getting picked up at 10:30am still! Not everyone will head to PC at 5:30am so I'm going to try not to stress about it! We'll have lots of company on the highway that's for sure!

My co-worker has already told me I'm worthless today! I totally agree!!

Oh, and Jennifer has been enjoying getting to know other teens online!! She's heard from Alexa, Melissa, Katie, Eric, Brenna (?), and maybe some others as well!!

She tends to be a bit shy with new people, so I think this will really help her meet new people!!

So, what are everone's before and after cruise plans?

We will land in Orlando at 10:58 am on Friday, so I am planning to go to SeaWorld!! We've never been to that park, and I thought this would be the perfect chance. We are renting a car and driving to Radisson at the Port Friday night.

On Saturday, after the cruise, we are renting a car again, and I am hoping to go to Kennedy Space Center, as our flight doesn't leave MCO until 6 pm. (Have to buy tickets today!). So I'm really hoping the shuttle goes off on 7/1 !!!!

Deb- Our flight does not leave until 5:40pm so we got a day use room at the Hyatt! We'll have to head that any with my sisters anyway since our transfer is with FL TOURS and they all leave around 1pm! Hate having a flight that late but will be nice to have the room to be depressed in!

OK. I've decided that we are totally NOT dressing up as pirates. Can't find pirate stuff, don't have time to order anything, and the family thinks it is "lame".

We'll do tropical wear instead.

So, tell me, am I being a party pooper by not doing this? Anyone else not dressing up?

Patti- I have to work Monday and Tuesday so I'm jealous of you!!! At least I was smart enough to take Wednesday off! LOTS of stuff to do that day then Thursday, is the BIG day!!!

LOL! I have worked and walked already today, taken the dogs to the vet, called the doctor for Sara's meds, etc. I needed this time off just to get silly stuff done! It was nice leaving at 8:45 this morning! I acutally worked fairly hard for all 3 hours! Ok, I worked while I was there.

I guess I better go down and get some more packing done. I got almost all of my laundry done yesterday, but I have some sheets I need to wash and hang out.

Deb - I wouldn't say we'll be in "pirate attire" The girls and I have those pheasant style looking skirts but that's about as piratey as we get. DH has nothing pirate-like.

And I think "Brenna" is probably my daughter, Brianna!!! Brianna mentioned she has talked with a few kids but didn't specifically mention the names. Both of my girls are ready to go on this cruise and they're happy they've been able to chat with some of the other kids ahead of time.

We arrive in FL Fri night around 6:30 - will stay at BCV, and on the return, we'll be at WL for 3 days. We've gone through withdrawal in the past when we've returned home directly from the cruise so we decided to do a few days on the end this time.

I'd love to stay at WL afterwards . . . VWL is our DVC home resort, and we love it there!! But we just spent 6 days there in March, and with this cruise, we are out of points!!! Also, Jennifer has to leave the very next day for our church's youth group pilgrimage trip to the Appalachian Trail! These kids are so busy these days, aren't they?

No pirate attire here either! The most pirate thing we'll have is pirate necklace Alexa will wear! Otherwise, we'll be looking more tropical!


Thanks for the offer to go to KSC! You guys will have fun! I'll let you know how the room is! I've heard nothing but good things from people who have done that!

We're doing the pirate thing. Dad drove me insane asking me to find him "boot covers". I bought them for him 2 years ago so he could match ds when he was peter pan. He can't find them now. I bought ds and the rest of our kids coins to hand out.

I forgot to order pirate pennants for our 5 doors and thought I could pick them up at our local party store. They only have the old lame generic pirate stuff and only 5 things at that. I have to go to a newer one that carries the official POC line.

Got ds a haircut. Lining up where I can ship out my box upon return.

Deb IA - I bought a gown (on ebay, brand new with tags and gorgeous-IMO) and it's great with heels and I'll trip with flats. I have to hem EVERYTHING so I'm going cheap with not hemming another thing. I just dropped off a pair of capris to be hemmed. I hate being short.

Also if you're going to the KSC you should plan to "eat lunch with an astronaut". That would be cool for the kids. We didn't know about that until we arrived. They have some great pictures you can take. Laying upside down on green blocks with a green screen and you look like you're in the shuttle.

Speaking of which. Everybody cross your fingers that they move the muster to 4:30. I think even 4:15 would be fine.

I hear ya!!! I am only 5 feet even, and am so used to hemming up everything, that I was panicked about the gown!! I was SURE it would be too long, so I was SOOOOOOOOOO relieved last night that it actually fits!!!!

I thought about the "Lunch with an Astronaut", but opted not to get the tickets. I know DH will be so uptight about the time -- we will want to be sure we get to MCO in time for the 6 pm flight, so I didn't want to stress him with 'scheduled' things. We could just leave KSC whenever he gets too nervous.

And YES, please, please, DCL, LET US WATCH THE SHUTTLE LAUNCH!!!!

No apologies necessary - I'm the same way with names. I'm thinking I have a pretty good shot on the cruise with all the Deb's and Lisa's!

Speaking of short. You'll see a short, chubby blonde (me) with all these taller women (cousin and aunts). Most of my female cousins are 5'10" and up. Jeez. I got gypped. But of course they have the size 11 feet and up too. I just wish my dress size was an 8 instead of my feet.


I'm TERRIBLE with names. I have the green paint chips. One for our door and one to wear. Planning to get clear labels with black ink for my label maker. They only have white on clear. ACK. Feel free to come closer because I'll need to see your name too everybody!!! I probably won't make the deck party with a 5 year old and tons of family (who I LOVE dearly, but want to stay joined at the hip quite often), but we'll be around.

LOL! I thought I was only short in my house. I stand a whopping 5'3", and my youngest child is 5'91/2, and oldest is 5'10, dh is 6'4"! I will be the short one behind the giants. When we shop, the clerks always look at them. I have to kind of get their attention and say down here, woman with the credit card!

I did a little more packing today. I got the hot rollers out and plugged them in to make sure they would heat. Tomorrow is go to the bank and turn in change day. Oh, along with having eyebrows waxed.

Ok all---I am posting my final post before leaving early Wednesday morning. Not sure I will be able to get on tomorrow.

I spent the day figuring out all the kids' clothes and went through mine to see what we were missing. Then ran out and got the little things we needed. Found the cutest zip-off pants for my soon-to-be 5 year old. Turn into shorts.

Of course, had another open house and it RAINED!!! If it rains on the cruise---you all can blame me. LOL!!!

Gonna spend tomorrow packing, stopping mail, etc. Look forward to meeting all of you. I'll call you Patti when I'm down in Florida. If my dad brings his puter, I'll check in here too.
