Thanks Lisa in KS. The husband of a good friend of mine passed away on Father's Day.

So sorry Lisa! This must have been a rough week for you, and more especially for your good friend. Sending some special thoughts your way, as you try to help your friend deal with her loss. :grouphug:

sme thing here, LongIslandMouse
my son (13) just got 2 teeth pulled after being in braces almost 2 yrs. It's those darned 12 yr. old molars, i guess he was just hoping they would fall out on their own. Ortho hasn't given an estimate of how much longer, but I'm guessing at least another year. My son said at the 2 year limit, he would be using the pliers to take them off himself!! After all that cash, I don't think so!!! gotta go to water aerobics-I'm late! Michelle

(but I just can't stay off these boards!)

So, here is the million dollar question for all of you at WDW prior to the cruise: what time are YOU planning on leaving Saturday morning? :moped: I have been trying to get some idea from the boards, but not alot of definite answers. "Leave early", or "allow plenty of time". Yea. I think I knew that part. What's early????? :confused3

Safe trip to everyone leaving tomorrow!! We'll be lookin' for ya next Saturday!! :boat:

Nancy - we plan to leave WDW by 10:30. We need to return the rental car @ Cape Canaveral so I feel that will give us plenty of time and we're hoping that will help us avoid any shuttle traffic. :thumbsup2

As for breakfast - did you want to meet at the Boardwalk Bakery or were you looking for a full breakfast? I thought of going light because I know we'll have food ready for us when we get on the ship. Let me know what you think - we could plan to be at the bakery by 9:15'ish and anyone else who is staying in that area and wants to meet is also welcome.

Wishing all those leaving this weekend a safe trip. The rest of us will continue to "chat" during the week!!

Sheila

Thanks for sharing Laura, about the time you got to the terminal. I was planning on getting there around 11 or 12 too. :car: This will be a nutty weekend packing and ironing. Should I pack my Ark too? This rain is incredible! But I would also rather be in WDW is the rain then here in the rain :umbrella:

For the MM alien paint chips, are we to wear them with our names on them or what? I have them a bunch and don't know what to do with them! I think we will use some of the other colors to decorate our door with...if I have time to plan it this weekend. We will see!! :laundy:

Prayers for your friend Lisa :grouphug:

Karen

Lisa from FL - I'm sorry to hear about your friends husband. :grouphug:

Nancy - Ironing? Ummm, I have to confess I own an iron, and even have an ironing board. :teeth: But, I also need to tell you I have been in my house for 11 years, and it still has the packing stuff on it from the last time we moved!!! :lmao: Tell Melissa I will try to have the girls email her today. I have been not been home to make anything happen here this week!

I had my new dog sitter come in last night. He is the nicest kid. :goodvibes Interestingly enough, I had a call on my cell phone yesterday from the old sitter. I don't know what he wanted since I don't have voicemail on my phone. If someone can't get a hold of me, they aren't trying hard enough. I live in a house with 3 phone lines, carry a cell, and Rich carries 2! I have a phone on my desk at work, and 3 email accounts! :confused3

I have some hopefully last minute errands to run today. That's not true! :lmao: I will be out all week running errands! :moped: I just realized the check I wrote out for the renewal on Rich's ambulance is still on my desk. Of course! Add that to the list! :sad2:

The packing begins today! It will be chaos until it's done! Another list will come in to play! :woohoo:

Oh and ya'll are talking about braces, well Katie is getting 2 teeth pulled this morning after having braces on for 18 mos.! Dopey ortho. didn't see the need initially to pull them, and after getting a 3rd opinion from 2 other orthos. last month, we switched DDS's. More $$$ and another 2 years of braces :sad2:

Hugs to Katie!!! :grouphug: Melissa had teeth pulled twice before braces, and the first time was NOT a good experience!! It was so bad (will spare you the details!) that we got a different dentist to do the second one. Here's some pixie dust for her for an easy and painless procedure! pixiedust:

Want to talk more about timing Sheila for breakfast next Saturday. I am still concerned about traffic, and am really not certain what time we will leave. There was a suggestion on the regular cruise board to leave around 7. That's what I was afraid of. Not that I feel like we need to leave THAT early, but it does make me wonder..........Will talk more later today, after I am done with some errands........and ironing. And NO, trust me, I don't make a regular habit of ironing at all. :sad2: It's just that you should SEE what some people's clothes in this house look like after they have been sitting in the laundry basket for days, waiting to be put away....... :teeth:

Laura- no tux here! DH will just wear a nice shirt and tie like always for formal night!

Nancy-Alexa is working ALL weekend but I will have her email back to Melissa SOON! If not this weekend, it'll be Monday when she get's off work.
If any of the other girls want to email her it's xoalexaxo@scbglobal.net

Well, off to sell candy bar in the HOT sun for the next 2 hours for dance team........send pixie dust that we may alot of $$! The girls need outfits pretty darn bad! Pretty sad when ladies come up to them and say "hey, I was on dance team 20 yrs ago and we wore that outfit also!!"!!!! :furious:

Same here!! A wrinkled shirt at home would usually just be popped back in the dryer, but I feel like I should iron before we go!

Karen

IRONING???! I think not! My ironing board just holds crap that I need to put away. It has become the catch all for laundry, papers and other "stuff". I keep telling my husband that he needs to find a wife that irons. Lucky for me he says he likes the one he has.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and thoughts for my friend and her family. I really appreciate it. Services are today.

My husband and brother in law do have tuxes. We discovered it was cheaper to buy it than to rent it. Syms has really good prices on those things. :thumbsup2

Sending a little pixie dust to Lisa in KS for cookie sales. pixiedust: I hope things went well for you this afternoon.

Lisa :tigger:

Lisa - Sorry about your friends husband. Sending hugs. :grouphug:

As you know Aunt Francie was very sick and still a bit woozy from the pain meds., but she's coming on the trip. Aunt Jackie bought her a scooter that will be delivered right to the ship. :cheer2:

We will all have matching shirts. Red. I know, I know, unique color, but it's my favorite and I didn't pick it. Aunt Jackie made them all with family trees on the front. Cousin Loraine (now referred to as HM - high maintainence) asked if she could have a v-neck shirt and mailed one to AJ. Turns out, it's burgandy. I know she doesn't like red, but man, couldn't she suck it up for one day? :sad2:

Strep is killing me. At least the temp is down from 101. Because I have nothing to do for this cruise (yeah right). DH went for a haircut (he was starting to look like Jack Nicholson in The Shining and he's running to Harold's for some Jewish Pennicillan (mahtzoh ball soup).

DH and ds5 have tuxes for this and forward cruises.

We're looking at when to rebook. I'm thinking back to back 3 & 4 days next summer. Opinions? We don't want to do the med and I want something planned for next year so we can go to Hawaii for our 20th (2008--like everybody else).

We're having FL Tours pick us up at 10 and picking up HM and family right after.

There's a wonderful DISer TAHOE that is mailing me a pair of pants for ds to wear. How sweet is that? All she asks is a postcard for her kids from cc because it was closed when she went.

Hey, we were slipping down the page. Whadda ya guys workin' or somethin? Sorry, slipped back into my New Yawk accent there.

Hey guys, I'm Eric's (yamahaboy) sister. I read that there were a couple other kids my age (13) going. Usually I just stick with my brother, but this time I really want to meet some people. I'm wondering if majority of the kids my age will be hanging out in The Stack, or that new Ocean Quest. The Stack seems more like for high schoolers and such... :confused3 Thanks.

Sheila, I think we are going to want to be leaving WDW around 9 to 9:30. We had originally wanted to be at the Port by 11, and had planned to leave at 10. Now with traffic concerns, and DH also has to drop off the rental car here too, we are probably going to try to be on our way earlier. So, is 8 -8:30 too early to meet for you guys?? If it is, I certainly understand. I have a teen who loves to sleep, and I am pretty sure we will be out late at MK the night before: they have EMH to like 3 a.m.! :faint: (No WAY I am gonna make it that long.........) So it will be interesting for us that morning for sure! But we would love to try to meet if it works for everyone! As for where, gee, I have no idea! Light that morning sounds like a good idea, as we know we'll be getting lots of food once we board!! :thumbsup2 Let me know your thoughts.

Welcome Kelly! :wave2: There are a lot of teen girls on this cruise. Many are in high school, but I do think there are some your age too. Many pages back (not sure how many, maybe page 26/28, something like that) a list was posted with everyone going. See if you can find it, and it will give you a better idea.

I am sure you will meet some really great new friends!! :goodvibes

Somebody on the boards was a tease. They said that the shuttle time was moved to 3. According to NASA and KSC it's still 3:49. 3:00 would be great for us.

Four of our rooms are on deck 2 and one on deck 1. Do you know where they muster for the drill? Could it possibly be outside somewhere?

I wasn't trying to tease. I was told that the shuttle was supposed to go up between 3 and 3:15. I guess they have changed the time. :sad2: Sorry for the confusion. Maybe we will get lucky and they will postpone it until 5.

Our very 1st cruise we were on deck 2 and our station was outside on deck 4. Everyone is on deck 4 of course but some are inside some are outside.
Might have changed since then but I doubt it.
