So our "Shaun & Jill, Shipmates for 25 years" magnet is done, as is my "Pirates of the Mediterranian". Now there's just my "It's My Birthday!" and a little something else (it's advertising for something of mine) to do and I'm ready.

I'm starting tofeel like it's close now - it feels like Christmas!

Firstly welcome to all the new Disers, I hope to meet you all at the meet and greet on Wednesday .

I have just finished work and am now on HOLIDAY , but I think the hard work starts now, the dreaded packing, too many clothes and not enough suitcase !!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow I will go for my waxing appt and I will also need to purchase a few more meet and greet gifts and then finish my packing.

We leave for Barcelona on Sunday 15th and will be spending 3 nights at the Grand Marina hotel. We plan to go to the Universal theme park Portaventura near Salou, the Chocolate Museum and the Zoo as well as doing the bus turistica, I don't know if this will be possible in 3 days but we will give it a go.

Wishing everyone a safe journey and i will see you all in 5 days.

We've got all the nonclothing items packed now it is on to clothing but i think we will start that tomorrow. Right now i'm playing the song Sea cruise over and over on my I-Pod mom and Matt are ready to shoot either me or the speakers I have it plugged into. Can't believe it is almost here. Can't wait to meet all of ya'll.

Retha- My sis was very excited to hear that there would be other people her age on the cruise, she is 18 so too old for the clubs and was a bit worried that she'd have no one to talk to

Tell Retha that the cruise staff does a "Singles" lunch that is very popular with the young adults on the cruise. It will be listed in the Navigator. There is also a group that gets involved in the pub challenges that is quite active, and of course, the young one's seem to close down Beat Street each night on the cruise. I'm sure she'll have a great time!

Only 2 hours and 18 minutes till I'm on vacation. The only problem is every staff member keeps coming by my office "needing that last minute project/answer" done because they know the accounting department is closed when I am gone! No money for them! HAHAHAHA! (not like they don't all have VISA cards and Sam's Club!)

My husband and I have arranged private tours and the tour operator contacted us today saying that he is hearing Disney might switch Villefranche
to the 25th and Marseille to the 26th due to the ports being extremely busy.

I just talked to Disney and they are switching the port days.


I don't know if this affects anyone's plans but thought I would let you know.

Sorry you missed the posts. They switched it a couple of weeks ago and YES, we are at Villefranche on Wed. and Marseille on Thurs.

Thanks for that piece of info because I had never heard of that lunch before and since I'm one of those singles, that might be something I'd check out! I've also started to crave those delicious tropical drinks; I'm feeling thirsty!

Just let you know that I had been in Port Advertune... with my friend and my daughter about 4 years ago. It was good but it was huge place too and very strict with height!! Oh, my daughter just little miss height and they refused let her on the rides but apart from that we had a fabulous times. We were in Salou for a week. Anyway,it should be fun to go there. I think your dd will love it!!

See you at airport oh packing is a nightmare aye for myself, not sure which one clothes huh!! husband and kids all done, I am last one hee hee

Dare I say it, lest I jinx myself? I think that the packing is all done (except whatever DH needs for the weekend in Atlanta). I have his travel clothes in the Atlanta case but he needs his weekend clothes and I don't know what he wanted to take or not, so he'll have to do that when he gets home from work.

It feels weird that I'm not rushing around like a chicken trying to get everything packed. Surely I've forgotten something critical. So you guys help me out, ok? What are the thing(s) you have either forgotten or are afraid you'll forget when you pack for a cruise or other vacation?

I have money, passports, cruise documents already checked and double-checked.

Two big suitcases, one medium, two small and three backpacks (that are carry-ons mostly for the plane). I just took a photo (yep, camera is packed, used the old one) of the luggage stacked in the living room.

Guess I'll watch Hannah Montana in a few minutes and the read the boards for a while longer.

I am always afraid I will forget my contacts and back up pair. I usually wear my glasses on the flight because the air does a number on my eyes. I am a regular contact wearer, but that is still a fear I'd have to be caught in my glasses all throughout vacation!

Well, it's only 8:30 p.m., Friday night, and I just about have all my packing done. Got the last of the laundry in and just need to pack the last of the shoes and personal care items and we are ready to go!

Dh will be home from work at 7 a.m., then we will head to airport at 8:30 a.m. which is only 12 hours away!

Can't believe the time is here already.

Okay, now to clean off the kitchen table. Housework NEVER ends!

It is 11pm Friday night and work is done

I haven't even started to pack (we leave Sunday) but the washer is done with its first load and a second one will go in. Have to go to the bank, get a hair cut, pedicure and stop by CVS to stock up on my pain meds tomorrow. I still get very stiff and sore when I sit for long periods so they may have to wheel me off the plane in Barecelona but we're going!

We went to see Harry Potter this evening - thought it was very good. They really distilled a LONG book down to the main theme running through it.

Nails were done today, got some packing done and will do more tomorrow. Still need to get eyebrows, pedicure and all of the travel meds. I have one more day of work on Monday and I was hoping to leave early, but I just don't forsee that happening as I keep getting projects everyday. I keep telling my boss, don't you know I am going on vacation and she tells me, I know that is why I need you to do this. YIKES! I adore her anyway!!

Well gonna get ready for bed.
