Does anyone know if the two families who were still waiting for passports last week have received them? I have not caught an update on them and I am hoping and praying for them that they arrived so they can continue on with the cruise.

I am looking forward to meeting you to Ariel and everyone else as well! It will be so fun to put faces with the names!

Hi Everyone....that is, anyone still at home
I am still in the good ol' US of A....we leave tomorrow (Monday) for the overnight flight to Paris, then on to Barcelona. We arrive Tuesday afternoon. Wanted to be sure to leave plenty of time for any unplanned problems. Didn't even start packing yet....just back from wedding in Buffalo, NY. Arrived home late last night. I guess today is the last of the laundry and starting to pack. Tomorrow is mani/pedi. AAA for Euro's???? Can't decide if I want to got here or wait and do it on the ship???? Any suggestions? I am hoping to figure out the doorsign thing as well. Don't know if I will be able to master that in one day

I can't believe it's finally here!

We leave at stupid 'o' clock tomorrow morning (6am, youch!) to catch our plane to BCN. Until then it is washing and cleaning central here...

Weighed my suitcase last night and it appears to be just under the baggage allowance, so here's hoping the airline scales agree with me!

I got Euros through my bank. They were 70 for $100. I didn't want to chance being in Barcelona with no money, just in case. I only recieved $300 worth and if I need more, I will get it on the ship!!

Thanks Kathie! I do have a few leftover Euros from a previous trip. Don't want to overdo it, as I don't want to be stuck with any "leftovers". Exchange rate not as good as when I visited before....5 years ago ! Rate was even exchange. Think I might convince DH to wait to see if we need more and just get them onboard. Was just wondering about the fee? Anyone know. No mention on DCL website. I am determined for us to get these posting pages up to #100!!!! Well you did it. We are at 100!!

I haven't seen what the fees are on the ship, however Im sure it is isn't too bad. If I see it, I will post it for you.

Gotta get the kids up so we can make our trek into Vegas for the day and get home at a decent hour!!

I'd guess that the exchange rate onboard would be much worse than any of us would get at home (wherever hom emight be!)

The fridge is now officially empty (just in case...), which means we had to eat out this lunch - shame! Big portions and an apple crumble for pudding too. Jill's excuse was that she was warming her stomach up for cruise eating...

This is probably my last post unless someone replies really quickly. (though I might be able to read some more later). It's been great talking to you all over the last few weeks. Seems weird that the next time we converse we'll all be onboard! I'll be the fat, grey-haired English guy with the short dark-haired English woman, if everything goes to plan we'll be wearing matching "Disney's California Adventure" shirts. Think you'll be able to recognise us from that?

Woo-Hoo we are up to a 100. I know I can't believe that the next time we talk it will be in person. We will be the family with all the stupid luggage and matching shirts back has a port hole view of the ship on front has DCL symbol and our names. My brother is not to happy about the matching shirt thing but mom and i love having at least one matching picture. See ya'll soon!!!!

Well, my luggage is 100% packed and there is nothing left to do! It is all underweight as well!! That was a major concern of mine, but it is all alleviated now and we are just waiting for the limo to pick us up. Off to Switzerland then to Barcelona. It's been fun chatting here for these months and I look forward to meeting and greeting with all of you on the MAGIC!

We're in Atlanta, and shocker of all shocks, my non-techno brother has gotten internet access at home! Woo-hoo! So I'm online long enough to dump the email that accumulated in two days and of course to check in with y'all -- woo-hoo - we're over 100 pages!!

It was rainy here last night and today until mid-day - I hope that means nice weather by tomorrow night for our flight out. Lissa, if you're still reading, we're planning to arrive at ATL airport betwen 4 and 4:30, but probably won't be at the gate until after 5:30 -- we want to get the kids some food before getting to the gate as I don't expect they'll eat anything on the plane.

I am still here too! I have been soooo busy today that I just now (10pm) sat down to catch up with everyone. It sounds like that there aren't many of us left. It is going to be fun finally putting faces with names.

Carol- I feel the same way about feeling like I am forgetting something since I packed last week. I am sure it is all there but since we spread the whole families clothes among several suitcases it is hard to tell.

We may be the last to leave 12:34 central time. Then we leave Atlanta at 8pm and arrive Wednesday at 11:05. I am praying that there are no storms in the Atlanta area. and no delays and that we get there in plenty of time. We are cutting it close.

Cindy- I am glad you all made to Atlanta safely. I hope you have a great flight tomorrow night.

We are going to be the ones not wearing matching t-shirts. The ones who may be pulling their hair out after an all night flight to Barcelona with a 4 and 6 year old. But don't think I didn't think about doing the matching t-shirt thing.. In fact I thought that would be fun but nobody else in the family did, well except for my 4 year old. She loves being "twinkies"


Today we got most of the house clean, just a few last minute things left. I got all of our bills squared away, luggage organized took the kids swimming and ipods charged. Tomorrow we have doctors appointments, mani and pedi, and dh needs to mow the yard. The kids are so excited, maybe as much as me!

Well its about 930pm PT and just said goodbye to my sister and parents as they will be leaving at 4am for the airport. We don't go until Tuesday around 5am. My wonderful husband will be taking me and the girls to the airport. I really wish he was going with us, but he really doesn't like to travel. Besides with all of the animals, he would worry too much.

Got our pedicures today, waxing done, attended the birthday party and did last minute shopping. Got our meet and greet gifts. It isn't much, but I hope everyone likes them!!!

Off to work tomorrow and hoping I can get off really early. I am going in at 630am to get things done and then beg my boss to leave early.

What time do you arrive in Barcelona? We weighed our luggage and one peice was way over weight and one was close. So we just shifted things around and got them within the limits, according to our scale. I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to go by slow. Have a good day at work tomorrow.

Its Monday morning...the sun is just getting through the clouds and I have been up since 4:30 finishing kids medical release forms, and paperwork...
haven't read the dis board for a couple days...it makes me laugh to hear everyone else going through the craziness we are expeiencing.
Gotta ton to do stilll -
We leave in the am for Detroit...and then off we go!
I will check tonight to see if anyone else is still around
Gonna - pick up a pirate costume if I can today....and then send my teenagers on all the rest of the errands for me...hey...I drove em around for years....!!! now they can run to the bank and wal mart etc....
